Hi There P.J I haven,t noodling for a while but I have had some nice finds today with 5 Olympic Games coins and a eternal flame coin, and a donation coin also a rabbit ear and a Two 2011 so was really pleased with today’s noodling . Hoping to find a Indigenous Service Anzac Coin one day! Keeping my fingers crossed ! We have been so lucky over here in W.A with very little lock downs ! Loving your videos keep them coming thanks!
I've got a quite a few round 50 cent pieces from my parents collecting them probably over two hundred. But they're reckon a lot got smuggled overseas in the early 70s to be melted down the silver. I saw an old ABC reporting might have been from the late 60s where they said when the coin was made it had 40 cents worth of silvering when made, and went up to a whopping 58 cents worth of silver and the interviewer stood next to some bags with 14,000 worth of coins and he said to melt it down you'd make two thousand dollars so I guess was a lot of money back in the late 60s cheers Graham

I work at a supermarket and we are serviced by prosegur. One night I was by myself and cracked a roll of 50s and got a round one, initially thought they ripped me off and threw a 20 in. Not a single other person understood my excitement. I have had great luck with prosegur, at one point I was getting 3-5 Mabo per roll so I have 90 now stashed away.
Pulled a round 50c in a roll last week :) feels a bit lighter than the regular ones so need to check out if its real

I got my first round from my grandfather, my second from my dad, and my third in a 20c roll. Congrats. Always exciting to know they're still out there.

About $25 for brilliant condition.
I have some 1966 round 50c coins found after my parents past.
No never found a 1966 in a roll but I would have at least 200 , 80% silver got to love it .
I don’t have a double bar!!! Still looking for one... ;(

why did you put the commemorative change-over 50c coins with your non-collectables?
Because while they are rare. They are more common and only worth around $2.

Where do you get the rolls of coins from. I thought all banks put coins in bags and weighed them to calculate the value now.
