Good amps do not sound that different. Amps dacs preamp don’t image, the imaging comes from great recordings & speakers, most of all, speaker placement is extremely important. IVE BEEN AN AUDIOPHILE SINCE 1976 & PROUD OF IT
I would also like to know if the internals continue to be of great quality. I saw a tear down of the DBR62s and the materials and components are top notch.
A lot to like about the front drivers. Small center to center distance. Deepish waveguide for lower XO and headroom for the tweeter. Flared port!! I wonder how they measure?? Possible to remove the tweeter guard? Maybe even better treble??. Huge rubber surround so they might have decent X-max? I'm liking what I see here :)
you don't want to remove the tweeter guard, it's part of the design and helps with dispersion. you might get more pinpoint imaging but it's going to throw off the response and directivity index.
Elac isn’t the same without AJ but they built on his original design so they can’t be bad that’s for sure. I’ve had and have several of his designed speakers and I have yet to listen to anything he made and say anything bad about it.His crossover’s are awesome for imaging and his tonal balance is always spot on. I still use a pair of his UF 52’s on one of my current set ups and they are great . If I have one complaint is the woofer cones discoloured a bit which is weird but it’s no biggie. AJ is at mofi now a days and I have yet to audition a pair of source points but it’s in my plans . Elac still remains relevant without him if a little less. ☕️
Perhaps these will/should replace my gifted Emotiva B1+ speakers bought on your recommendation that I loved but were replaced with my beloved SVS Ultras. Will be saving up. Thank you for your perspectives and for sharing them with us all. Have a great weekend.
@@sanonmars For my compromised hearing the Ultras presented more bass and I found the B1+ tweeters a little shrill. I seemed to be enveloped more by the sound from the Ultras and the music was more, in my opinion, visceral. Thanks for your question and time to ask. All the best.
I'm excited to try out these speakers, even if the tweeters look like they're wearing pasties. I actually like the debut 2 front firing port cause my living room is pretty small and my speakers are at best 6" off the wall.
yeah that is the whole reason the moved the port to the front in the 2nd revision so no idea why they moved it again for the 3rd... most people with budget speakers will not be putting them 3 feet in the middle of the room
Guess Elac took notes when AJ was there😉. Wonder if these equal DBR62 Reference? Or close? Big difference in price I know, but the Reference are still much better than my 3x priced B&W's. Thanks for the video CAM.
I would be really surprised if they made Debut 3 are almost as good as the DBR62 because that would cannibalize sales from their more expensive line. I'm a bit excited to receive my pair of Debut 3 so I can tear them down and see what makes them tick.
Sorry, but your personal preference is just that-a preference, and that's cool! 😂 Personally, I think front-facing ports sound better in most cases. ♥️ A speaker you really need to get your hands on is the Mirage 290is. I found a pair on Kijiji around 2009-2010, and I swear they're better than some tower speakers. They're large bookshelf speakers with incredible bass, transient response, and speed, making them one of the most hidden gems in loudspeakers, in my opinion. 😊 I just regret selling them. I had two matching Mirage LF150 subs with a Rotel 972 surround sound receiver that supported Dolby Digital, DTS, and HDCD. It was my favorite surround sound system ever! I had 290is speakers all around (found the rest on eBay) and even had a 300-350 watt 2-channel Rotel amp for the fronts at one point, along with a projector from 2010-2014. I seriously miss that system and would buy it again if I could! Cheers like your videos/channel keep up amazing work 🍀♥️💙🇨🇦🇺🇲
I bought the unifi ub52 2.0s 3 years ago when Randy said they were the best he'd heard. Over 700.00 and specs say 85db but I read an article that a guy measured them down to like 83.5db. These things really crave power! I still don't have a setup that will get all the efficiency from them, but I'm not gonna give up on them.
I love mine on a 70w Yamaha. Things get a little uncomfortable when my amp is out of its class, but I don't really get to play it super loud very often.
@@robertwoodward9231they need a good amp for sure. Recommend looking at used gear. Got my amp sells for 3500$ for 1400$ on audio mart. Would recommend an amp in the 1500 to 2000$ with 100 watts or better. Usually start seeing amps with much bigger power supplies in that range.
@@robertwoodward9231 you don't "get" efficiency out of a speaker, it's efficiency is what it is, period. it merely describes how loud it gets with a given input (2.83v or 1w, at 1m). so it's more accurate to say you can't get their full PERFORMANCE out of them, or properly push them to their limits... you can't get maximum SPL while remaining clean and controlling the woofer properly (which is also important for not damaging a speaker with a clipping amplifier).

I love your channel. It’s great because your taste in music is the same as me so when you make a recommendation I already know it’s the same type of music I would listen to. Keep up the great video.
Andrew Jones has moved on to other ventures, but it seems like the ethos has remained intact - and the engineering contributions have also remained in place, along with some incremental improvements. Elac has managed their value-priced Debut series most shrewdly of all the product ranges they have done.
Seems like the one replaced andrew jones is doing a better job than andrew jones, since he/she managed to make the debut 3 sound on par with buchart s400mk2 at 1/5th of the price. Kudos to this new designer.
Raandy, the original B5 was an AMAZING speaker. at THE Show Newport when Andrew premiered the Elacs he used a Bel Canto system with 100wpc and we were looking for the sub everywhere. i also didn't like the B6.2 as well but it fit the bill for any audiophiles. were I to stumble upon the B5s for cheap, I would buy them. i have to mention that ihad the Pioneer BS22 by AJ, the forerunner to the Elac and for the price, I was quite impressed. i had them on some generic steel round ple stands and then got the Pangea stands at Audio Advisor for $169/pr, they immediately improved in the bass and imaging/soundstaging took a leap. i then returned to my MMGs and alternatively, my Spendor S3/5s with a sub. i have even recently put in my Minimus 7s in place of the Spendors. not bad but thin in the lower mids. thanks for being real.
Love the Debut 2's, great budget audiophile speaker. Thought they were better than my B&W dm602 S2's, which sound more like monitors... I want a bit of life to my main listeners.
I'm with you, I think they are great as well and I have owned an embarrassing amount of speakers over my 30 years in this hobby. I personally believe they require an extraordinary amount of time to break in to the point they actually start sounding amazing.
Randy... I'm with ya. If you've never heard a pair of Dali Zensor 3 see if you can. From what you're saying I think they'd be right up your ear canals and man can they hit hard. Similar price and... I've had my eye on the Wharfedale Linton for a while as my dream speaker. I've never really been an Elac fan, so I'm super interested in your Elac Debut 3 comparison to the Linton. Watching...
Some years ago I owned a pair of Quad 12 L2 together with aSub That Was a fantastisch combination. My listening distance was nearly 4,5 meter and I used to Listen with a Level of 80 to 90 DB. 3 years ago one of the speaker got damaged after a fall from the stand. Because of the size of the room I decided to change to bigger floorstand speakers. But I never got the same joy than with the combination of the Quad and the sub. Maybe the Debut 6.3 together with the Elac Sub 3010 could be a good choice and bring back some joy to the listening.
@ 6:11 when you talk about Metallica in the song "One" by Metallica, how you could hear bass drums different nuances that's because the drummer, Lars Ulrich, used two bass drums. The song is well-known for its complex and powerful drumming, especially during the double bass section in the middle and towards the end of the track. This double bass drumming technique adds intensity and speed to the song, making it one of Metallica's most iconic tracks. Cheers 🍀🇨🇦🇺🇲
I watch almost every video on this channel. I tried your recommednateions for Sony, ELAC, POLK, and JBL but always felt wanting. None ever seemed to give a significant improvement to the Andrew Jone's Pioneers or my old PSB's. But I found a local Hi-Fi shop who sold Fyne Audio speakers. This is a Scottish company who have former engineers from Tannoy. I purchased their bottom of line bookshelfs (around $400 CND on clearance) and IMO are way better than the major brands. Would love to see you do a review of their bottom of the range speakers (most of their speakers are high end and in the thousands of dollars). I'm in Canada so not sure if Fyne Audio are sold in the US? I'm also Scottish but remain completely unbiased (Aye right!!! If it's not Scottish, it's Crap)
instead of buying a half dozen different cheap entry level very mid speakers, why don't you get ONE set of really good speakers? you kept making lateral moves, where the trade-offs and strengths/weaknesses varied, but absolute performance was stuck at the same relative level. odd choice.
@cheapaudioman I have seen a few of your videos and love the cost effective solution you share. Now I have some investment plans ongoing so cannot invest in a new audio setup. So, I was thinking about building one from whatever is available with me. 1. An old LED FHD TV (not smart TV) for Display 2. Old Dell Studio laptop, with 5.1 channel support & Realtek HD Audio ALC888 onboard. 3. Creative 2.1 speakers with decent bass for front speakers. 4. BPL Double cassette player with line--in option, stereo support with surround sound setup (2 speakers per channel). Very crisp & clear sound. Planning to use these as back surround speakers. Problem: As soon as I set the sound card to 5.1 the base is very much reduced in the 2.1 speaker and I don't have any center speaker & separate subwoofer. I do have a few bluetooth speakers with aux-in but that woofer is the major missing part. Is there any other way to configure the above setup? If not, can you recommend a product for missing speakers (only subwoofer or may be both subwoofer & center speaker) that I can also use with any other home theater setup that I may purchase in future.
@@ETM-md7cu 2 way over 3 way most of the time. A better 3 way should cost 9x more to sound any better. And be bigger... In a bigger room... With a bigger amp...
Maybe I missed it, but how do they compare to the new Emotiva bookshelf speakers? $50 difference and eventually I see myself upgrading my B1+ in the office/man cave. These will be on a short list.
Just got a pair of these with intention to listen to them, return them bc there is a set of Dynaudio emit 10s for a little less on FBMktplace in my area. I think I will just keep these bccan notnot stop re-listening to all my favorite albums. My experience has been amazing. Smooth mid bass and amazing bass with a soft tweeter kiss. Imaging and soundstage is good. Way better than my Klipsch RP 600Ms.
Wow! This speaker definitely looks like a serious contender. In fact the whole Debut 3 line looks good. I actually like that they switched to an aluminum dome tweeter as I heard that with the soft dome tweeter, the Elac's can sound dull. So that was the reason why I was holding off on them. I ended up buying PSB Alpha 3 speakers which use...an aluminum dome tweeter and they sound fantastic and image well. I am using them for my desktop speakers. Also, I JUST bought myself a pair of KEF Q350s and really like the way they sound, so sadly, no more speakers in the market for me! I need a good DAC now. @Randy. I am VERY curious how these Elac's compare to your beloved (and overpriced) Sonus Faber speakers. Last I looked those speakers moved from your living room, to your desktop and (on last check) they were on the shelf behind you. Seems like they have fallen out of favor, hmmmm? I will agree with the claim that certain speakers can sound much better than speakers costing much more. Speakers are one area where you don't always get what you pay for. In fact a great many are overpriced. There are some such as those new Italian made that seem to be putting too much into the looks and the cabinet, similar to Sonus Faber, and you definitely pay more for that. With me, I don't care if the speaker is just a simple box, as long as it sounds good. What I don't like is any obtuse looking speaker and many high end speakers seem to follow along those lines, such as the high end KEFs and the B&W speakers. Naw, the manufacturers can keep those. I like my speakers to look like speakers, thank you. Anyway, this was another great review and it is reviews like this that do have me sticking around. Oh, and I would love to pit those Advance Paris amps against a Bryston, which I KNOW is built way better. I just picked up a B2 for a song and dance and the stereo separation and imaging on that thing is out of this world! I do have to work on it, which is why I got it for a good price, but it seems to be a promising higher end amplifier. I know it beat the pants off my Denon receiver, and that isn't an easy task to do.
Great video. Thank you. Debating these vs. the Q acoustics 5020 for my bedroom - also based on your recommendation... Mainly for 2 channel TV viewing and acoustic/jazz music. Any advice on which to choose ? And would a Wiim Amp suffice ?... Thanks again :)
Hey man, go to an auto part store and get one of the magnetic pickup tools, (they are like thoes extendable back scratchers but with a magnet on the end,) you can stick that in the port and it will bring that hot wheel out for you!
I look forward to your videos but wish that you would test gear with more classical music. A few set reference recordings of full symphony orchestras, choral with orchestra, a capella choir and maybe string quartet and a wind chamber recordings. In case you don't especially like classical, the same few pieces in known good recordings could be used for the "chore" side of testing.
I have a question, how would these fare compared with the elac unifi reference. Thank you for the great review on the b3s as always very informative and fun to watch. Cheers brother 👍
Hi Randy, love your videos! How would you compare these with the Wharfedale Diamond 12 series? And the KEF Q150, Q350, Q750,... series (not sure if you heard the 750's though). Mainly would use these for home theater, but also some acoustic and rock music listening. 😊
I own the Elac debut 6.2's. I found these speaker literally took years to break in so they sounded good to me. I tried for 2 years in various setups to like them and just hated them. I put them in my garage for 2 years living a hard life of garage duty before I tried them inside again. They didn't even sound like the same speaker when I took them in. I can't make them sound bad anymore, they sound excellent with every amp I own which is Nad, Yamaha, and Luxman. I don't find they lack bass either for their size. The soundstage is not the widest but it is deep. The mids are warm and the high are pretty decent overall. I also find them very transparent and revealing but still maintain musicality because of the warm, laid back nature. I have owned only high end speakers for years but I can listen to these and get as much enjoyment out of them as I can out of my 8k speakers.

Sorry if this is a dumb question (I'm not very knowledgeable on speakers), what is the difference (besides size) between the DB63 and DB53? The latter cost 100 dollars less and I was wondering if you're losing a lot compared to the DB63?
that hot wheel in the speaker. they have that magnet tool grabber extension get the one where you can bend the extension any way you want i ave one. i just put my edifier 1280tb over to my tv and pulled out my old andrew jones sp-bs22 for my PC setup i put on bought quality cables cleaned all my contacts put on ferrite ring magnets on cables hooked up a monster audio video filter then audio burned in the cables with audio frequency sweeps and white noise brown noise i have them speakers hooked to a fosi dac q4 going into a fosi bt30d 2.1 amp with edifier t5 subwoofer and it sounds really good. the details come through almost to my sennheiser hd570 headphones. if you want a quick boost in sound quality try cleaning your contacts and play some white noise brown noise and other color noises they have some that sweep a few frequencies try burning in for at least three hours with clean contacts and have another listen to your system.
I’ve noticed that six versus eight Oms for the Denon S540 BT anyway it seems to actually have a harder time driving the 6 Oms then it does the eight. I had the Sony CS fives for about seven years and they only reason why I got rid of them was because I use them so much that the main tweeter got dented but I literally used those for everything. But for some reason, I noticed the heat difference from the receiver. It would often overheat when those speakers were hooked up to it because it was having a hard time driving those. Now I’ve got some Polk audio T-15s hooked up to it and it seems to be just fine and can stay on for longer periods without overheating. I’m curious to know why that would be a thing if six ohms are supposedly easier to drive?
I'm about to buy my first TT (leaning towards the Fluance RT 85) and would like to know your thoughts on a setup (no equipment purchases yet) using these speakers with a 10" sub along with the Yamaha A-S301. I also listen to alternate/classic rock/metal. I love your channel ! Thank you Neal
I heard these at THE show in Orange County last spring. I kept looking around the room for a subwoofer but there was none. These were impressive. Granted they had very high end cables and mono block amps but wow, they sounded good
I seen speakers that are ported in the front and back. What really is better? Does it depend on your placement? I hear mixed thoughts about it all the time. Man these Debut 3 look awesome.
are you kidding? these are WAY better than those. those are good speakers for a hundred or maybe 200 bucks, but they're not ACTUALLY "good" speakers, in comparison with anything legitimate.
To this day, I cannot understand the hype around the first gen Debut speakers. The high end was just non-existent and the bass was pretty boomy/muddy. My old Polk Monitor 5 from the 80s ran circles around them. They are now relegated to my garage speakers.
You know, I bit the bullet on the 5.2's based on your recommendation (it blew away its bigger brother, you said) and yea, this little sucker punches our small living room hard. So.........are you gonna come back in six months with a disappointment video?
I think Randy was disappointed with the 6.2's. From what I remember, he gave the 5.2's a good review (better than the 6.2), and has given them pretty favorable mentions since then.
@cheapaudioman What do you think of a VS with the SVS Prime Bookshelf VS the Elac speakers that are in the video? I am on the fence about buying the Elac and the SVS Prime. I came from listening to the Klipsch RP-600M. Powered by a Marantz NR-1711 and a Klipsch R-12SW. Keep up the great work!
Doubt I'll get a response, but what would you suggest at roughly this price point for PC speaker, because mostly I will be running it pretty quite so having to run it at 80db or greater to get good sound is... sub optimal. I would like something that could run comfortably at 60db, but can stay accurate upto 85db maybe a little short of that, also because they are going to be within 1.5m 85db is fairly loud.
@@Deke1 I like the VS Series as well as the CLS215 or even the XLS215. The new LA Series is good and so are the new Vega series studio monitors. But each to their own eh!
Excellent review, would be nice to have a budget amp sanity check though. SMSL AL200 or Fosi ZA3 just to see how they do. ELAC knocked it out of the park in the design department, good to know the sound measures up.
@Randy. Given what you said about the Buchardt speakers. Can these wipe the floor with the Sonus Fabers you have? I would like to know how the 3's compare to PSB speakers. They have a similar aluminum done tweeter with the cover piece as well.
How would these compare to something like PSB T20s? The PSB's cost a bit more (and I own them) but I'm curious what newer speakers like this offer, price aside. Just an opinion on how they compare. Oh, and I'm using an AS701 amp.
500M II? you mean 600M II? never ever ever buy the 500M II, spend 150 more (or find a sale or used set) and get the REAL version. Anything less than a 6.5" woofer is an absolute joke. utter weaksauce. 6.5" is just barely getting out of child's play-thing territory. people need to stop thinking small bookshelf speakers are actually speakers, they're not. no replacement for displacement. the 600m 2 is a great speaker though, I'd go with that, it can actually produce decent bass unlike most small bookshelf speakers, and the horn is simply epic. the impact and immediacy and realism and dynamics of the horn will be superior. but don't neglect EQ, ALL of these speakers benefit from corrective AND subjective preference EQ'ing. the KEF is a no go too, it's got one standout feature, it's pointsource nature, so it has one strength. otherwise it sucks, and it's a 5.25" woofer, i.e. a fake toy speaker. the debut 3.0 is a legit contender.
Great review, as usual. What do you think of these vs the Klipsch RP-600M first gen? Right now I can we can get those for $350 new. These will probably hit that price sooner or later. Between the two, which would you buy?

Thanks for the review Randy. I only miss the comparison with the Lintons as mentioned in the intro.
Good amps do not sound that different. Amps dacs preamp don’t image, the imaging comes from great recordings & speakers, most of all, speaker placement is extremely important. IVE BEEN AN AUDIOPHILE SINCE 1976 & PROUD OF IT
How are they vs DBR62? 🤔
@@sherwood5103 that’s what I want to know
I'd like to know too
I would also like to know if the internals continue to be of great quality.
Is the Cheapaudioman playing a little D&B in his vid? Respekt.
came here to say this!
Generally speaking, if the tweeters crossover costs more than $3, an aluminum dome tweeter can sound smooth enough for most of us.
metal tweeters and bass/subass are fine. its metal midranges which usually are the main problem
Little know fact, adding a Hot Wheel to speakers improves bass response. 😂
Perhaps these will/should replace my gifted Emotiva B1+ speakers bought on your recommendation that I loved but were replaced with my beloved SVS Ultras. Will be saving up. Thank you for your perspectives and for sharing them with us all. Have a great weekend.
Interesting. How better were Ultras than Emotiva?
@@sanonmars For my compromised hearing the Ultras presented more bass and I found the B1+ tweeters a little shrill. I seemed to be enveloped more by the sound from the Ultras and the music was more, in my opinion, visceral. Thanks for your question and time to ask. All the best.
I don't get this aluminum dome tweeter phobia. My KEF R3 has aluminum tweeter and it souds great, smooth, perfect.
Same with my Revel m106
Most of the people drive them with receivers
Also, I like this speaker's style. BLACK 😉.
Cheers like your videos/channel keep up amazing work 🍀♥️💙🇨🇦🇺🇲
How do these compare to their more expensive elac uni-fi 2.0 ub52?
What!!? I have to replace my Wharf diamond 225 again!😬 (they usually come back from the basement). Thanks for the review as usual Randy, and I think I will buy the 3s and check them out. You convinced me😀👍🇸🇪

Yeah I watched the whole vid for that
@@gerald9442 There is no comparison. Linton will destroy Debut 3. It's a 3 way semi-tower, so it takes away the only advantage Elac have over most speakers, sound stage.
I love your channel. It’s great because your taste in music is the same as me so when you make a recommendation I already know it’s the same type of music I would listen to. Keep up the great video.
Thank you Randy
You're able to hear a grainy midrange in an amplifier? Wow.
He is an audiophile
Andrew Jones has moved on to other ventures, but it seems like the ethos has remained intact - and the engineering contributions have also remained in place, along with some incremental improvements. Elac has managed their value-priced Debut series most shrewdly of all the product ranges they have done.
Seems like the one replaced andrew jones is doing a better job than andrew jones, since he/she managed to make the debut 3 sound on par with buchart s400mk2 at 1/5th of the price. Kudos to this new designer.
They worked around designs Andrew already did…….
How do they compare to the Reference model?
I hated 'em for the first hundred hours then, magic happened. See if you can find a pair that's been around the block a few times.
Thanks as always Brother and regards.

Love my Lintons. Never get tired of them and always surprising me…✌️
I hate it for you, but these don't actually compare to the Lintons
Some years ago I owned a pair of Quad 12 L2 together with aSub That Was a fantastisch combination. My listening distance was nearly 4,5 meter and I used to Listen with a Level of 80 to 90 DB. 3 years ago one of the speaker got damaged after a fall from the stand. Because of the size of the room I decided to change to bigger floorstand speakers. But I never got the same joy than with the combination of the Quad and the sub. Maybe the Debut 6.3 together with the Elac Sub 3010 could be a good choice and bring back some joy to the listening.
Nice review! Thanks for sharing.
One of my favorite speakers from T.H.E show. Got to here these and the floorstander and was just super impressed, I thought they were 2-3x the price.
I agree love tannoy and fyne audio I own them
instead of buying a half dozen different cheap entry level very mid speakers, why don't you get ONE set of really good speakers? you kept making lateral moves, where the trade-offs and strengths/weaknesses varied, but absolute performance was stuck at the same relative level. odd choice.
@cheapaudioman I have seen a few of your videos and love the cost effective solution you share.
Now I have some investment plans ongoing so cannot invest in a new audio setup. So, I was thinking about building one from whatever is available with me.
1. An old LED FHD TV (not smart TV) for Display
Did the same thing bro. Yea the 6.2s just didn’t have the uumph😊 so happy with the new tweeter…perfect just perfect

Awesome review Randy. I might have to get the 3 way 6.5” tower. We’ll see
Maybe I missed it, but how do they compare to the new Emotiva bookshelf speakers?
Thank you for this review. How would these compare to Wharfedale Denton 85?

Great video Sir! Thank you! Does this speaker outshine the Klipsch RP600M-II?
I got a speaker ad at about 2:10 that almost perfectly matched up shot wise with the close ups of the elacs it was wild.
Would you consider those to be an upgrade to my good old Dali Zensor 5 + Zensor 1 + Zensor Vocal setup?
Hey man, go to an auto part store and get one of the magnetic pickup tools, (they are like thoes extendable back scratchers but with a magnet on the end,) you can stick that in the port and it will bring that hot wheel out for you!
I look forward to your videos but wish that you would test gear with more classical music.
A few set reference recordings of full symphony orchestras, choral with orchestra, a capella choir and maybe string quartet and a wind chamber recordings.
In case you don't especially like classical, the same few pieces in known good recordings could be used for the "chore" side of testing.

Hey Randy Thanks for putting me on to the elacs they are beautiful in every way
I own the Elac debut 6.2's.
💀🤣 I don't think anyone should take anything that you say seriously. Speakers don't break in, nor do headphones. They aren't shoes, mate 🤣

Debating on these or the KEF Q150 🤔 Small bedroom setup
How would you compare the impulse rendering compared to something like the Klipsch RP600m? Or the Elac Unifi Reefrence/Debut Reference?
Randy, do you still have Polk R200 to compare with?
Doubt I'll get a response, but what would you suggest at roughly this price point for PC speaker, because mostly I will be running it pretty quite so having to run it at 80db or greater to get good sound is... sub optimal. I would like something that could run comfortably at 60db, but can stay accurate upto 85db maybe a little short of that, also because they are going to be within 1.5m 85db is fairly loud.

How do they compare to the last best sounding speakers bookshelf from SVS
Debut 3.0, RP-500M II or Q150?
500M II? you mean 600M II? never ever ever buy the 500M II, spend 150 more (or find a sale or used set) and get the REAL version.
Get the second version. The original RP600M had a huge hole in the midrange.
Please could you compare these to the Elac Debut Reference
You are reviewing the 6” model. Is it possible the 5” model fixes the midrange veiling you mention?
