Sounds interesting. One thing I am always curious about in games like this is the inventory management, like how much you can carry around, if it gets annoying to leave things behind, etc.
Will require some consistent crafting at first, as your base storage is quite limited, but you will slowly accumulate more space over time. Break down anything you are not using as often as possible.
Not sure how the pc version will function given all the improvements to everything compared to the mobile one. But, in the mobile game you have a storage locker that needs to be upgraded to increase its capacity. You also have a squad inventory that is minimal at first but gets expanded via worn equipment and squad stat bonuses. At first you'll run out of room for things rather quickly and you'll need to manage inventory space prioritizing certain materials/equipment over other things until you're able to increase your storage and inventory capacities. Then once you get to a certain point it's mainly throwing in whatever resources you need for upgrades in storage and carrying food buffs and meds on you. Right now, I have 95 slots of squad inventory and 95 slots for the storage locker. That's with using a mix of teir 2 and 3 equipment and having a lvl5 locker.
Not sure about the PC version but yeah, in the mobile version. You are given a base, actually I will explain it in detail. So, you and your team are on a cargo plane to reach Baiknour Cosmodrome but then an unidentified SAM Missile hits your cargo. And you all get separated (You and they do survive) and so you are all alone until you find your teammates. So then you start walking around injured (You are given a damaged weak gun). Then you start finding dead bodies of the humals (Humanoid Animals). There are also Wilders, so watch out (Wilders means Zombies) then you spot a military base in the North East. Then yep, that's your base for now. And there is also another military base which you can unlock, to unlock this, find all your teammates and machines (Only two machines needed, EB and Bigfoot. Battlearmors are not needed unless you want to fight quickly.) and after finding all of them, you should have good weapons and equipment. Then go in the Winter Area, and find Marcus Cage (The Leader of the APEX Forces,

The game is finished story wise since 2023 with the olympus 3.0 update for mobile, which ends the story. The "new" $20 PC version is just a revamped version of the free mobile version with added end game content and improvements. They removed microtrans and ad options, making the skins, etc. available ingame... except the 7 add-on characters, which dont add anything to the story and r optional. The character pack for all 7 is $10. PC version features Differences and features between the mobile and PC versions of "Bad 2 Bad: Apocalypse". Even their old FAQ on their facebook page from 2023 after the citadel update stated after they add olympus its all end game content after that cause the story is done.
Your squad levels from experience gained by defeating enemies and finding survivors. Then you spend the points earned leveling to improve their abilites in the ability tree. You also change their equipment to better teirs as well as add attachments to them. There are seven characters to use in your squad. Pan, Rico, Dail, Cong, Bagheera, Bao, and Isabelle. You will start with Pan and unlock the others as you find them scattered around the map areas. In addition there are seven add-on characters that have no effect on the story (at least in the mobile version) that can be purchased for $9.99 as DLC for the PC version to use in your squad. They are $8.49 each in the mobile version.
You're making it sound like the mobile version is an incomplete game behind a micro transaction paywall. It's not. You get the complete game on mobile for free and no pop-up ads. All ads are optional for things like free revive, free items in the shop, etc. There's a free ad removal in the microtrans shop for $7.49 that removes them . You DO NOT have to spend money in the mobile version unless you want to be pay to win by buying all the powerful guns at the beginning without working for them for $5.99 up to $14.99. Or, materials for $0.99 up to $1.49. The starter pack is $5.99 Emergency transport to evac is $5.99. 100,000 rounds of the different types of ammo is $13.99 each. Theres three types. Skin cosmetics are $1.49 up to $3.99. Additional characters to add to squad with different skills and bonuses and that don't add anything to story are optional costing $8.49 each. There are seven. There is no real money ingame currency. The only thing in game currency wise are gems that you can use to purchase weapon attachments and equipment material plans in the shop, and gems are found in the world looting stuff. The bigfoot skins you can buy for $8.99 each, which there are only two, boost its abilities. One gives missiles and + defense. The other gives a shotgun, ++defense, and max hp+. Same for the EB skins for $5.49 each, which there are two. One boosts your detection time +60. The other improves your squads collection time by +25% and the item drop rate from mobs +10%. Again, everything I listed above above is all optional and not necessary to play the game nor enjoy it. It's only if you want to whale and be P2W. Everything outside of skins and the added characters can be found in game without spending a dime. I have had this game on mobile for many years, and the only thing I spent ANY money on was James, the tiger add on character, when he was $0.99 on sale. Edit: you can also play the mobile version offline if you want to. No internet connection is required to play the game.
Quick question, is there an option to sync mobile progress through google play service or is there a nah? Thinking of actually getting the steam version and continue playing if i don't have to restart from scratch

If you don't mind the grind, it's a good game to play.
You are the exact reason I hate people who review the B2B Series. Like, you are complaining about such a small thing. There's a multiplayer battle royale mode in B2B Extinction.

noice, wishlisted.
Is it top down shooter or side scrolling?
Its half survival, half looting, half farming half base building, half character building, half rpg... I think (76 hours on the game so far)
Top down shooter but their first B2B series is side scrolling
