I love listening to the Richard Diamond radio detective series. He always sings a song at the end.

Wonderful Irving Berlin songs, great singers . . . what more can one ask for? A terrific clip.

A shamefully overlooked movie. Full of great Irving Berlin songs, two of the best voices of that era, a plot that was actually amusing, even the Ritz Brothers did well by "He Ain't Got Rhythm".
For me the cherry on top was Madeleine Carroll ( one of the most beautiful actresses of all time).

I wish these two had done more duets. Dick Powell and Alice Faye were AMAZING together!

One of those "seasonal" songs too good to be confined to the holiday season.

Good evening James do you know that you are a charming fellow and steal the show from that other glamorous couple.
A little bit of alright indeed James. Well that dignified posture and that delightfully condescending gesture is going to delight visitors for the next 100 years. Isn't that a little bit of alright? Brrrrrrrrr

Dick Powell's illustrious music career suddenly dropped off the radar in the 1940's when he was only in non-musicals. Better than Bing Crosby

Although I wouldn't agree that he was better than Mr. Crosby (I'd place them equally although that's just my opinion), I completely agree with the sentiment that he should have been acknowledged a lot more.

As we look forward to our tour of heaven some may try to anticipate what the angels look like. All you need to do is watch Alice Faye walk onto a stage.
Faye is Nature's triumph over the Cosmetic Surgeon. And if you are stunned into a wimpering globule at 2.27 by that glorious smile, rest assured that you will recover.
But it may take some time.
