At the end of the day it all comes down to the players and the coaching. Because BB had the same people we have on roster and without Gonzo and we were a top ten defense. The Main problem is Demarcus Covington. The players probably don’t like him and aren’t playing as hard, maybe it’s the players as well or even injuries. But I really think that Jerod Mayo who is a defensive minded coach needs to step in when it comes to the defense or even call out Covington when he isn’t doing his job. Jerod Mayo needs to build his own identity in NE. The thing I loved about BB was how mysterious he was when it came towards the media, how transparent he was with them always having them guessing week to week. With VanPelt a lot of fans give him a ton of hate. But how well he has developed Drake Maye is insane. With how terrible our offensive line is as well. Imagine if we have some solid offensive linemen and weapons surrounding Drake Maye he’s going to be on fire. If we do get Tee Higgins, a solid LT and RT the only things we would need to address is on the defense. An Edge and CB to help Gonzo. But if we don’t land Tee Higgins or a LT and a RT. Then I say T-Mac in the first, LT in the 2nd and a RT in the 3rd. I also really like Nic Anderson who will be available through the 4th and 5th round. He’s built like Tee Higgins, he also has some similarities to his play style as well.
T-Mac can either be Mike Evans or an Allen Lazard. Travis Hunter is gonna be Trevor Diggs because he also played WR in College and CB. He was a better CB than a WR. I also really like Abdul Carter who is a Micah Parsons 2.0.
What has Mayo done or showed that would warrant a 2nd season? Does the team has an identity after 14 weeks? No. Has the team looked better as the season goes on? No. Has Mayo changed his style in-game when needed? No. Has the team cut down on errors? No. Has the defense gotten better, you know, Mayo's side of the ball? No. Does it looks like he has control of the players? No. Does he helds himself accountable by his mistakes? No. Has he shown aggresiveness when the team needs to be during the game? No. Does it seems he has a feel for what's going on during the game? No. The list goes on. If you want to compare Mayo to Campb3ll, as most Mayo apoligists do, ask yourself if you think he can coach our Patriots to 6 more wins next season, as the Lions did in Campbell's 2nd season...
@@obarbeito mannn look I wasn’t a Mayo apologist or really even know what that means. But I was one to say, it’s about progress not perfection, he is learning on the job and blah blah blah.. but the team isn’t progressing only 2 players who have progressed are Drake and Gonzo.. you can throw Gibson in there as well. But the team isn’t progressing making the same mistakes over and over and isn’t scoring points. Defense is no where to be found, outside of Gonzo and when they make a rare play on defense there is some boneheaded penalty. They resigned a lot of their own players who have also regressed as well which is shocking but not really. If they do decide to run it back with Mayo he has to have a different coaching staff from wr’s coach to dc, and OC. Dline coach. Oline coach can stay because he is working with fringe and depth pieces as starters which isn’t ideal
If you think we don’t need to draft an rb this year you are delusional. The draft is deep and you are already seeing Mondre break down. Having someone to spell them, is important get them in the pipeline
@ I heard that, but I also watch the games. Mondre hasn’t been the same since week 1. How much longer you think he is going to last? The oline is trash, I get that. But Pats will need to add something behind them both because who backs either of them up when one is hurt? I like Hasty but he is on a one year deal and the drafts is loaded at rb. So why not add depth at the position?
@ You are completely missing the point. With the Oline as bad as it is, it makes everyone job much harder would you agree? Why wldnt you want someone to back up Gibson and or Mondre? They are bound to get hurt or worn down with how bad the oline is so wldnt it make sense to draft a younger player with fresh legs. Not saying bench or let either go. But get the next guy ready. Look what the Lions, 49ers and even the Chiefs. They replaced Edward’s Helaire with Pacheco
@ it’s like I have been saying since last year they need a number 2 cb behind gonzo because they have no depth. And been saying a center was also a sneaky need before Andrews injury and it became widely accepted
Tank for Travis Hunter…. Well I mean it’s not like we’re going to win another game this year any way lol, but hey look at the bright side we have a good QB we just suck everywhere else 😅

Tet McMillan should be the pick. Forget about Hunter and Campbell.

Did you not pay attention to the part where mondre is 14th and Gibson is top 5 in broken tackles behind the worst o line in football?

@bgizze01 how do you expect anyone to do well behind that line?

Jerrod mayo is not the coach for the patriots. He's not a leader.
