So in this video I share with you my 4 hour PhD viva experience. Although it was the most intellectually probing experience I've had in my life it was the most enjoyable experience I've had! Honestly, although there's a lot of different experiences on here I really do think that the PhD viva is an opportunity to SHINE and to enthusiastically talk about your work which you are the EXPERT in.

Hi Dr! Yes it sure was. Especially trying to stay alert, interactive and attentive. It really takes a toll but glad to have finished successfully in the end. Was yours virtual?
I found the online viva easier tbh. Far less nerve-wracking than having to get up, get dressed, travel to the university, wait outside the viva room with the weight of the world on your shoulders.
Contragts on passing! It's a once in a lifetime feeling :D

Do you think it is necessary to prepare a few slides of intro presentation before the examiners start asking you questions?
Hi this is a great question and yes an intro slide is helpful. It should include research question, methodology and motivation for the study ✨
