- While the case surrounding 2Pac's murder appears to be reaching its ultimate conclusion, it raises questions about the other hip hop icon whose murder has also remained unsolved. In this VladTV Flashback, Diddy's (known then as Puffy) former bodyguard Gene Deal spoke about the night Biggie was murdered in Los Angeles on the heels of Pac's untimely demise roughly a year prior.

I was head security for 4 clubs my uncle Montes had in the Bronx at the same time. My uncle Montes was the one that sold two clubs to Carlitos Corvetta that was the biggest crack dealer in the Bronx at the time. The judge that locked him up wrote the book Carlitos Way. He changed some things about the real story so he didn't have to give the real Carlito Corvetta money 😮. I'm saying this because I know about security. For years not one person got shot when I was doing security. I'm saying how did 9 people get killed and someone had a gun in the club is a No, No. That happens when you don't know how to do security and you have fear to put your hands on people looking for guns and knives. You have to check man and women, because they like to use women to bring weapons to the club. You have to check everyone no matter who they are. Carlitos Corvetta didn't like me because I used to check him with my hands and not the machine. I didn't like the way he treated woman. One time his security man couldn't go in the club because he tried to bring a gun in the club, so he could not get in. I told him and he started cursing. Carlitos Corvetta just stood there and didn't say anything about his man. So when he said Fuxk Montes. I got angry and I always had my gun in the car and I was thinking I'm going to kill both these fools. Because Carlitos Corvetta was a real gangster. But I didn't care. My cousin seen what I was doing and knew that I would kill these two fools. He screams, Tito NO. And Carlitos knew that I was crazy like that. So, Carlitos Corvetta say, Tito take it easy. He looks at his man and told him to go. He tells me, Tito, you know that this club could be burned in the morning. I said to myself, is this motherfuvker threatening my family.
