- Let me start by telling you right away that I am not a fan of these 5 colour eyeshadow palettes...until now. I definitely recommend using your fingers when applying-takes a little longer to apply, but worth it. In this video I will go over several looks and give you my thoughts on why I went from not liking this formula to being pleasantly surprised.

I find it helps to use those little sponge applicators to grab the pigment (so it does not stick to your finger upon first contact) and then your eyelid will grab the majority of the product, since it is the first skin contact. then you can use a brush or you finger to blend it. Anyways, just sharing what works for me, because I also got frustrated with the fact that the majority of the pigment would stick to my finger and not really to the eyelid. :). Thanks so much for your videos, I LOVE them. 😍
thx for the tip! i wonder if a silicone tool would work in a similar way. i've used one for other formulas that also don't apply super well with a finger (eg rituel de fille eye soots)
That the shadow is less blendable and more the type that wants to “stick” is great insight and advice on how to approach this palette. For me though, unless byredo includes (with purchase) a clone of you 😆 to apply it successfully on me, it’s a hard pass. Gorgeous on you, though!! 🌻

Silver and diamonds shadows are great for festive holidays looks. Just added eye liner and favourite lipstick 💄. 💋

Another great eg of playing with a palette.
Sable/martens hair brushes grab and diffuse shadows well for the most part, if you have them. And sponge tip applicators as a commenter suggested are good also for placing shadow. 🙂👍

Don’t think I want this palette.. not a huge fan of the color story for myself. I tried the Byredo Dysco palette a while back and didn’t care for the way the shadows applied with that one either for the same reasons you mentioned. I love working with my fingers but not so much on the eyes. Brushes are so amazing these days and I have many of Sonja Gs and Wayne Goss & others that apply and blend out shadows so beautifully. Finally watching your review! Helpful to know it was meant to be used with fingers. I was on the struggle bus with this palette the first 2 times. By the 3rd time, I think I figured it out. Each time I used brushes, and there was fall out. :-( It is a really beautiful color story, and I find it very fussy to work with. Will try fingers and those sponge applicators (your reviewer commented below!) to see if it works better. Great review Cheri!

Miki if you have a silicone brush tool, see if that helps with the tricker shades as well. i've had great success with one when applying rituel de fille eye products. x

I love that colourstory, it is everything…
yet blue with green would make my irises pop, but the shadows behind my frames might make me look punched in the eye…

There is something weirdly sphincter-like about that palette design.
I love that organic Asian-Italian design shape, but I think they may have missed the mark on *that particular* organic design
