    I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the definition of "Real love" by Osho.
    I personally think it's an idea that could be debated and open to many more new interpretations.
    Do you think "unattachment" within a relationship is realistic or healthy when applied from his perspective?

    • @_Mimi_711
      @_Mimi_711 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      I think it’s healthy. If I’m understanding correctly, he’s saying to not lose yourself in your partner and don’t be overbearing. This is something I had to learn on my own and will be applying to all relationships going forward.

    • @visceralstrokes
      @visceralstrokes ปีที่แล้ว +20

      True love is unconditional. Unconditional love cannot be realized if you do not first love yourself by realizing you are already complete within yourself. Then and only then can you love the 'other' properly. I say 'other' because ultimately we are all one. So yes, detachment within a relationship is healthy because you know your worth when you know you do not need anything outside yourself. As for whether it's realistic, that depends on the individual's development.

      "Serve love through the lover, this way you will never become attached to the lover"
      I have learnt that all emotions, including love, is self generated. And I believe this is what this lesson expresses. That it comes from us, we experience it through what we give, and it does free you from attachment to understand it in this way. I absolutely love how Osho teaches this lesson. He explains much more than I do and with real practicality in the ways we don't subscribe to unhealthy things with partners under the motivation of loving them.

      Healthy and possible. But I have struggled to explain this concept to the men I have dated. So possibly this definition will help me clarify my meaning in the future. I do think if the men I date do not understand this concept, then the relationship cannot progress. Thank you for sharing this video ❤

    I always have leaned toward detachment meaning detaching from fear, insecurities and undesired circumstances or preferences, and instead focusing on the outcome you do prefer and being that. Movement is always happening, even if it doesn't appear to be. Detachment is all those things and having the predominant faith in that without evidence.

    My aunt once said to me, "let go with love," and it stayed with me for a long time. But this and your other videos take it to a higher level.
    Historically I am a 'type A.' It still feels good to take action, but more recently, I have been focusing on shifting to actively loving, vs always doing/trying/making. I detached myself from the man I'm in love with, cause he didn't reciprocate and wanted to friendzone me. I literally told him that what I need is not platonic friendship, but that I want to be held securely and lovingly, and if he is not the one to do that, that's fine, I'll make space for the one who will. Wished him love, peace and happiness and let him go.
    Bringing back my energy to myself again and it feels better every day. When I think back about the man I notice the negative emotions like bitterness, longing, jealousy and rejection fading away. I think back of him with peace and benevolence and find myself desiring him less and less while still loving.
    I trust God to lead me to the best life and person for me and appreciate all the beauty of life, that I'm rediscovering right now.

    I feel like this law of detachment is a bit of a misnomer. What it ought to be considered is the law of focusing on the right things, rather than on the wrong things. To completely detach is to shut the door on things entering your life, which you don't want to do for anything good in life. Better to redirect your focus on actual achievable goals you have control over and that serve your greater good, or even allow you to achieve the ultimate goal of wholeness. Such a cool example of this is what happened with the artist gymnastics World Championships that just took place with the U.S. men's team event. The U.S. men hadn't won a medal in several years, but they ended up with a bronze this year! Their team captain, Yul Muldour, was asked how they were able to achieve this bronze medal and he said they weren't focused on the medal, they were simply focused on the work they had to do. They detached from the outcome of winning a medal or beating another team and just put their focus on their present moment to moment, cheering each other on, etc. and the best medal for them became a bronze. If they hadn't won a medal, well, then they just wouldn't have won it. It wasn't as important as their team spirit and supporting one another through the events they had to go through. Doing their best and being there for one another mattered way more than a type of medal hanging around their necks.

    I love your voice so much it's soothing. I would like to share my thoughts on this particular topic. In astrology, I am an air dominant because of my Libra and Aquarius placements.
    Most importantly, I think the common misconception everyone makes when mastering detachment is forgetting emotion plays a role in practicing detachment. For example, let's say you broke up with someone who isn't treating you like a queen, and instead of complaining or crying over someone you lost. I would release the feeling you don't need a man who doesn't treat you like a queen, and treat yourself like one. By doing this you're detaching your emotions from the outcome.
    From what I understand, emotions are big part of detaching yourself from any situation in all areas of life.
    Honestly, some beneficial ways to master detachment is journaling which I personally like, however my most favorite is mental health walks for my mental health and physical health. Because it let's me detach from my emotions.
    In manifestation, I believe feeling or emotion plays a big role in manifesting what you want not only from detaching, yet letting go of the emotions including pain, suffering, depression, etcetera.

    Detachment connotes the aversion towards a form of experience for some, and the want to decouple from said experience. As others have mentioned, "surrender" or "acceptance" is a more positive understanding of the message, and can possibly be seen as something entirely different from detachment.

    Hi Maleeka! I love your videos! I just wanted to leave a comment because you've included a very brief clip of russell brand near the start of the video, and I'm unsure if you're aware of the very serious allegations made against him very recently in the British press, but it's probably not a great idea to use him as an example of someone in high places 'alluding to this secret'. Just wanted to give you a heads up incase you weren't aware of this!

    Paradox comes when you realize most of your intentions are thing you attach to.
    I guess we need to learn to detach from our needs so we can put the intention to respond to our needs. So there is a fine line to know how much we care about the desired thing.
    We care enough to go get it when we Need it. And otherwise it doesn't Matter to us.
    Also by it'' I don't mean a lover if that's what you're desiring.
    It'': the satisfactory effect it has on us.

    I have a question for anyone who wants to reply : My teacher told me that positive thinking and visualization couldn’t work because there are too many thoughts in the immaterial dimension, therefore, only my actions in this space-time dimension could bring me something. I understand that we must take actions, but it still stresses me out because most of the time I have no idea if what I’m doing even has a correlation with my end goal, since my end goal is not something you can “get” as it is not a material possession. My teacher told me that contrary to what we’re thinking, the results of actions were never influenced by what was going on in our minds, our feelings, emotions, intentions etc, and that only elements like circumstances, the environment around, our surroundings etc could have an actual impact on the outcome. I find it very difficult to believe, because I observed for myself that depending on my inner state of mind, my result was different.
    What do y’all think ?
