I know I'm late in the game but i have read through all the comments and attempted this with an expectation of failing (based on previous comments) but I was SUCCESSFUL (so far)! The bait did set up and floats good! I still have to do a field test on fish but i wanted to share what i used and slight deviations 1. Elmers glue(Glue-All Extra strong formula, small 4 oz bottle 2. Equate Shaving Foam (regular red bottle not the gel) 3. Equate Multi-Purpose Solution (green bottle "for soft contact lenses) 4. Great Value Baking Soda ( if you read this step in the video it says "Baking Power" which can be confused with Baking "Powder" which is different then Baking Soda like i used) 5. Glitter 6. Garlic powder I used the full bottle of the glue and the amount of shaving cream was a little more than 1/3 cup simply from the peaks cuz i didn't scrape off excess. As far as the contact solution, i only used 2 ozs (not 2.5 ozs) measured using a shot glass. Like i mentioned earlier baking SODA was used NOT BAKING POWDER. After working it to the solid state, it finishes almost like an easy to tear rubber structure. When i put it in the water, it briefly sunk upon entry into the water but SPRUNG to the top floating right after! I'm going to play more around with the recipe to see what i can or can't get away with like product brands/types, quantities and of course scents and effectiveness. I hope this helps out others! When dealing with "chemistry" there could be a single ingredient present in one brand but not in another that could ultimately affect the final product outcome/composition/texture. I have tons of shave cream that I mix with my brush, rather than adding water to make the cream I could use concentrated corn juice to whip up a nice fluffy cream. Cool idea. I make a lot of boillies, dough baits and pack baits. Pack baits are good for chumming the fishing spot and I just use fake corn or boillie on a hair rig. I like scenting and coloring mini marshmallows too. Have to try this.

Elmer's Glue is safe and Non-toxic. The actual Powerbait contains PVC materials. If you are using Powerbait you should be going after "Stocked" Trout. Most "stocked" trout will die off in late April and early June due to the rising water temperatures. Awesome Question! Thank you for watching.
Most of the stocked trout do not survive the summer months on the east coast. OH, WV, VA are states that I have fished for stocked trout. All three states do a fantastic job with stocking trout so anglers can get fish safe to eat. I have fished natural streams in WV and VA that can sustain trout and I DO NOT Condone the use of powerbait and support catch and release only in these waters. I'll fish for stocked trout in Feb and March; April they'll die off and Catfish season begins. Thank you for watching
I’m not sure about garlic oil ... there’s a chemical reaction between the baking soda, glue, and contact solution ... garlic powder doesn’t effect it ... don’t know about garlic oil
It has glue so it will harden to a brick if you leave it out ... if you place your mix into a ziploc bag you can slow down the process to the consistency that you desire

I have done it exactly like the video shows and bought the same product as in the description and could not get it to harden or just to be able to touch it and work it by hand. On top the Glue cost me $ 3.00 can and the Eye solution same amount $ 6.00 so even with exchange I couldn't even come close. So please if you have the an idea what i could have done wrong please let me know.
I don't eat the fish that has chemical contaminate in it , why don't you use food great in stead, do you know what chemical you put in that bait and you eat that fish?

I honestly believe this would be safer than regular power baits and way cheaper. Ddin't you grow up with Home Remedies? If not always better than factory made. Just Saying..

Try adding baking soda while stirring. This should help.
