This has been one of the funnest gaming projects I've ever done. I've never played so many games in such a short amount of time. I've definitely broadened my gaming taste in the process. Let me know what your favorite game demos are in the comments. I'd love to check them out. Shoot after watching this video, I want demos to become more common too! I'd definitely be into playing some to test out a game before purchasing. This video looked fun to make. Thanks for sharing and putting in the hours of playtime!
I'm glad to see demos being brought back a bit. My partner tried out the Pikmin 4 demo, which she loved, and it was super long as well. I'm gonna be playing a bunch of the steam next fest demos to see if there's anything that piques my interest! Thanks for doing so much effort. This video was very well made. Love from South Africa!
Extremely good video. - Liked and subbed :) One I remember playing to death was the splitscreen vs demo for Future Cop LAPD on the original Playstation. A third person shooter tower defence mode that was completely separate from the main game campaign. Endless hours of fun.
Those are some great demo examples. I totally agree about demos being a better way to check if you should buy games vs game journos being wrong half the time. Great example of using that mechanism for your kids as well.
I can't tell you how much money I've wasted on Nintendo switch games that my daughter thought she'd like but then didn't like it after about 10 mins of playing it. A demo would have saved me money 😆.
It's my story of how I miraculously stumble on to the thief franchise, I was looking for tomb raider, I found a tomb raider demo that had a bunch of demos, and the thief demo came packed in, long story short, I've played thief like 250 times I know it by memory, I've played the whole series, the cathedral and the cradle from thief 3 are some of the best gaming experiences period, years later I played tomb rader I thought it was too cluncky it just wasn't for me, but that thief, it's a little piece of heaven
Hi, nice video! I like how it feels like you’re just chatting. I used to get the PlayStation magazine demo discs. They made like 112 of them and they each had four or more demos on them. Best deal for a kid who didn’t know what games to play. My dad really crushed it by subscribing for me
Thank you! I love hearing that. I really enjoyed the more laid back nature while making the video. I'm jealous. I never got to experience the Playstation magazine disc. I didn't become a huge Playstation fan until the PS3. Your Dad sounds like a badass!
I love that you used Re2 at the beggining. My absolute favorite demo as a kid and that and RE3 from ps1 are still to this day my faborite games ever created. Very good video brother.
I dont like demos which are the beginning of the game though . Dead rising and resident evil 5 did it right whete it was a random part of the game mixed with other random part so that you can get an idea of what youre getting into and playing
I can agree with that. I also prefer demos that are completely separate from the main game. Like its a little side game in a way. Demos like Resident Evil 7 or Alone in the Dark 2024, both had demos that were custom-made sections of the game. So you got to experience the game, but it didn't spoil anything from the main game. What if the demo is the beginning of the game, but the demo's progress can carry over to the main game? Are you okay with those? Examples would be Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy Rebirth, Final Fantasy XVI all let you continue your progress if you decide to buy the game.
Thanks! Man, that's a good question. These 3 come to mind. Junkyard Fury 2 (PS4), Quantum Theory (Xbox 360) and Far Cry Instinct (Xbox 360). That actually sounds like a solid video idea lol.
Hey cookie! For the video I played the Stranglehold demo from Xbox Live on the 360 store and loved the demo. So I went ahead and ordered it from Ebay. Now I own it physically. The plan is to play it sometime soon.

Demos becoming mainstream will be the revival of gaming، awesome video man, this was cinema!
Thank you bro!
Great Video, I can tell a lot of hard work and passion went into this project. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Cameron! It feels good hearing that when you're not sure if anyone will notice.

Thanks BSizzle! It was pretty fun. Sad it's over to be honest.

Thank you! Appreciate it :). One of the Demos I actually played was Pikmin 3, I'll have to check out the Pikmin 4 one. Hello from Kansas!
Damn dude. You put in some work. Love it.
Thank you bro! :)

Thank you man! Glad you liked it. I haven't heard of that Future Cop LAPD. I might have to check it out.

That's awesome man! All from a demo. You probably would have discovered the Thief series later but who knows.

Hell yeah. Thank you my friend.

They need to make demos mandatory
100%
No lie, I was just reminiscing having demo discs back in the day. They really played a huge role in making one’s decision to buy a game 😂
Lol, yeah they were awesome.
It's crazy that most games don't have digital demos available for download.
Yeah, and I don't understand why they wouldn't want one. It helps sell the game.
I can’t believe p.t. Is already a decade old. And they did the same thing to the matrix.

Well said sir. Worst demo you played?

You went and bought Stranglehold, but never played it?

@@linktothelight Too bad the sequel got cancelled. It was even planned to have co-op.
Oh dang didn't know that. That would've been awesome.
