    My coworker insist on telling people “here is the manager’s contact info. Nicely organized advice, Derek. There are so many services for consumers to have and use, connecting with their representatives and KNOWING a bit about the duties and obligations -- as well as the capabilities of the Customer Service representatives -- on the other end can only be a good thing! We have all been in the "Customer position" and some of us have been the Representatives receiving these calls as well. ~

    I say all of these phrases and still sometimes get answers because customers are looking for a resolution on the spot , sometimes we need to wait and customers won't bother fixing their answers. The amount of times I had to switch jobs because of abusive responses is outstanding.

    I used to sell subscriptions and "fundraised" on the phone which is a lot different because that includes commission. I used to always pepper in a defensive phrase "it has everything to do with us and nothing to do with you" on offense, I would use phrases like "you guys are the best, but of course you know that already". I know it sounds weird but it worked for D personalities.

    Hi Derek,
    I hope you are doing great. I've gone through the chat box and found that you have answered almost every question/comments. So, I got the courage of posting this comment hoping that I would get an update.
    So, recently I have switched the company, where we need handle service no scenarios mostly and our scores are published on NPS basis.
    So now, the major issue that I am facing now is: being an introvert, I don't know how to connect with the customer and this has been impacting my scores.
    Do you have any ideas to share on this.
    Thank you in advance.

    • @derekcallan-englishforpros
      @derekcallan-englishforpros  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi there! I'm doing pretty well, thanks. Hope the same goes for you.
      I do try to reply to as many comments as possible but sometimes it takes me a while 😃
      First of all, it doesn't matter that you're an introvert - it's still absolutely possible to connect with customers. You can learn specific questions and responses that will help you show interest and build rapport.
      Why don't you try using just a few simple phrases to get started? See how you feel and whether it makes a difference. Perhaps some of the phrases from this lesson?
      Building trust and rapport is about showing the customer you care and solving problems. Being calm, listening carefully, and showing that you understand their situation can leave a lasting impression.
      Another suggestion: how do your colleagues get high scores? Ask them for tips or even listen to them - what are they saying? How do they speak? Do they always use the same kinds of phrases to connect with their customers?
      Hope this helps!

    As a regular common customer who faces the big empires who abuse the clients and such their money, energy, nerves and destroy your stat of mind by treating you as a particle of identical template categorized clients, the worst thing that can happen is to find the answering person a mere robot trained to absorb your (my ) anger by artificially sweet talking you out of your case to deal with defending yourself instead of confronting them and their organization.This happened (and still happening) to me with one of the most con companies in the world AT&T the communication company in the USA. their staffs have the power of attorney to absorb your claims and " sin cerely" showering you with promises that they cannot keep. and my case is almost three years of paying for a third telephone line, data and installments which I have NEVER had and still don't have
