    I like that you talk about what works and what doesn't. Even just showing the goals page and saying you don't normally use that and you don't know if you will - that is so much more relatable than just the happy-happy-joy-joy version of reality that some content creators present.

    I log every pain, every night of sleep, every nightmare and night terror now, and restless night. I log everything now in my digital journals, which I have many of, so I can corrilate all the data my doctor was refusing to acknowledge. It took going to a doctor two hours away for a specific diagnosis. It took finding a doctor I'm still fighting with over pain levels to advocate for myself. It's a lot of work and it's scary but if you don't do it and tell them and, think to yourself they think my crazy, then your not getting the treatment you deserve at this point as a women. Alot of studies haven't even been done yet on womens health. Keep pushing. Keep logging all your symptoms. I have a medical journal now that I log every day, along with my daily bujo of what I did that day with time logging, with a daily written journal which tracks everything else. It's taken years to get my treatment. Your doing great.

    It's nice to see that the TN is really working for you! In case you're interested, Sterling Ink posted that they're not doing pre-orders this year but will be selling the planners as "in stock" items and they'll announce their line-up in early August.

    I’m so glad to see you in a TN. As somebody who’s tried it for the first time this year (and now wants to get strings in every size), it’s hugely inspiring to see how other people customise their TNs to suit their specific needs. And thanks for talking about the grid - admittedly it’s one of the things that’s stopped me from buying Sterling Ink inserts. Perhaps I could reconsider 👀

    I use the quarterly pages to track how my day went! I have five categories: great, good, ok, tough, and bad. It’s helped me see that even if I’m feeling bad one day I can look back on the month and see that most of my days are good! Or if I’m struggling for a longer period, it can help me realize something is wrong. I think Lindsey’s method was what inspired it, as well as the philosophy! I use the other page to write down the highlight of my day, and if it’s been a hard day then I’ll think back to something good that happened. 😊

    RE Sleep doctor-bring someone with you that you trust, and if you have an anxious moment, they can be your calming presence. I’ve been seeing new doctors all my life…no shame in having support people.

    I use the kraft file to keep my books more secure. Fold it in half the "wrong" way around, slide the back page of one on the front and the front page of other on the back. And then I keep my planner book in the middle (and that gets attached with the elastic). Easy to access/remove the books and doesnt damage them.

    • @MeganRhiannon
      @MeganRhiannon  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      ahh i had tried that with the file folded the right way round, but two books didn’t fit. very smart to flip it inside out, thank you 🙏🏻

      Was literally about to comment that - it’s such a life saver! I use the craft folder for my Passport booklets and it’s just a perfect balance between securing them in place and making them easily accessible.

      I do it the exact same thing, and this combo/method is the only way I can make the system work for me. Also neurodivergent (ADHD), so easy access to the books (in/out, without connecting bands) is essential for me….

      Saw a video recently on the yoseka stationery channel where the pockets on the other side of the plastic zipper pouch were used to slip the covers in, so here the back cover of the common place book and the front cover of the common planner can be slipped into the pockets of the zipper pouch to be held more securely... not sure if the sterling inc books fit but thought it might work for this set up :)

    Very excited to see more traveller's content!
    Since it's my (sort of) system of choice at this point in the year it's nice to see some of the decisions that I've made, reflected in other people's systems. It makes my ideas feel more... valid?
    I'm still pushing through my week's book for the rest of the year because I can't really justify dropping out of it for a VERY similar alternative but it sort of awkwardly floats in my traveller cover between my other notebooks.
    I like to refer to it as my Frankenstein system because I'm just forcing things to work and tie in with what I already have and use.

  • @sambbbb
    @sambbbb 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I'm so Sterling Ink-pilled and am so excited to see you using them. I use the Moterm Companion TN cover for my SI TN standard books - I've actually removed the strings and just use the pockets, but it's very customizable. I'm already losing my mind theory-crafting my potential tweaks and setup for next year's system. I think at least 20% of my notes pages are autistic ramblings about my systems lol.

    ahh watching you go on these notebook(+) ventures is always such a treat ^^ thats so interesting about not using the elastics to keep the books in, the inserts moving slightly when used inside the covers has been a huge thing keeping me away from travelers, but the idea of just tucking them into a cover to keep them together and taking them out to use... it has me so tempted, even though i've been in journal peace for so long now ha, ,
    about tamagotchi, did you know it's super easy to replace the paper under the faceplate? i only realised that recently and immediately went for it, i've seen some really good halloween/spooky style insets on etsy too ^^ (obviously i'm just a comment, so theres no pressure anyway, but its 100% understandable for that to be too intimidating)

    I LOVE the sims 4 stuff, I made a notebook for it myself. 😂 Doing a challenge similar (see what I did there) to the not so berry challenge, a friend of mine made it so I’m having all my characters out too, currently on gen 3.
    It’s been harsh because family health has been a problem but seeing your little sims page specifically was a comforting sense of normalcy. Would love to know why blurbs you add with the photos. 💜

    Edit to add: I also recently got and LOVE the Uniball One P. Such a cute chonky pen and writes really nice. 💟I'm a bit late to this one, but even as someone who doesn't use/enjoy TN systems I am looking forward to the new info dump series. These videos are always calming to watch and I'm curious where you'll go with it. Your cover looks great. (Also unrelated to TNs but I love your manicure in this vid, so beautiful. You always have such cool nails.)

    I'm really intrigued with the new system. Really wish Sterling Ink had a spring start...or maybe it's better this way as it will keep me in my current system! And I love the idea of using food inspo in your reference pages! That's how I use cookbooks...just flip through until I find something that looks appetizing and try to find something similar that I can make, not necessarily using the recipe. But I love the idea of having everyday photos in your book you can reference as prompts.

    For the blank space on each week under your to do list you could do a weekly review, a currently section, or weekly highlights/gratitude. I wanted to try SI so I got a TN vertical full year and a B6 and I am OBSESSED with the TN size! I will certainly get the vertical AND horizontal for next year!

    I‘m back in my TN this summer, it‘s so much fun and I forgot how much I love my TN. Also, I’m already on the hunt for my 2025 journal 😌
    I‘m on the waiting list for an ADHD assessment and I’m having the same fears as you. As an autistic AFAB person who‘s learned to mask for three decades I’m afraid Dr Cis-het white guy will deem me „not ADHD enough“. The sheer terror those kind of appointments awake in me is insane.

    I tend to watch Coraline on repeat cause I love stop motion animation and they used several different speeds throughout the movie to change how the clay looked for example the ghost children. And it's a comfort watch often. It sounds like we like a lot of the same movies.

    It’s so fascinating as someone who also has aura migraines (but congenital cataracts on top of it) that sterling inks grids are too light for me and i get a migraine 😂 - Of course why would something work for all of us
    But for goals I always do something that’s more of a mindset for everyday rather than a long term goal (because me and the future aren’t friends)
    Some i did for this year were simple things like letting myself write down every little thing, and not making it perfect. Journal almost every day (at least one sentence. Even if that sentence is “migraine day” it’s something) and trying to be more open.
    I dont know if i’ll be here in a month or a year so.. I just want to make the day i have good enough

    The fact that the grids aren’t a perfect square doesn’t bother me, except for the fact that I primarily use the passport size and because of the grid size there are only 29 vertical boxes and honestly it’s infuriating. I could deal with it if it was at least 30 because then on the off months I could use the margin to fit in the 31st day. But 29? Really? Why so close if you aren’t going to reach 30 at least?

    I’m sad Sterling ink doesn’t make any full year planners without the note pages. As someone who also has other notebooks I’m in regularly, I’m just looking for the calendar and weekly pages to log my days/to do lists so I can keep track of time passing. I don’t have space in my system for all of those extra note pages 🥲
