Thanks. The Warmboard team was great to work with. At some point we’ll be building our house which will use Warmboard throughout. This loft project was a warm-up, pun intended. :). We’ll record and publish the house project too. Our next video in this playlist is doing our custom routes. That went well too.
Sorry for our delayed response. I'd hoped to get back to you before you spent time to find it yourself. :) We start our videos with Campfire Song. At 5:10 is Jeremiah's Song.
@@wanderwoodfarm3801 thanks for your response. No problem about speed. We're all busy with life. Like, oh I don't know, building a barn on your own and all that entails. 🤔 I rather enjoyed going thru the playlists. I did a bunch of listening while on the road. The ones I like, I'd save; others I'd just quickly pass by. Now I have another playlist of my own to listen to on the road.
@@wanderwoodfarm3801 If only I had known about the "Shazam" app before I asked you, I wouldn't have had to ask. Cool app that you can direct other to if you get more questions about music.
Where do you get your background music from? I think I've heard some of your selections on other channels. (RRBuildings, Essential Craftsman). A free site? And thank you for actually taking the time to respond as you have. (Other people don't seem as willing to reply to questions/comments.)
Happy to respond. Thank you for your questions and support! TH-cam provides access to 1,000s of songs and sound effects which content creators can use for free without threat of copyright infringement. It’s always amazing to me to hear music that I associate with one channel on another channel. With 1,000s of options, I just don’t expect creators to use the same songs, but we apparently do. If you go to TH-cam Studio, you’ll find the music under Audio (I believe). I really like Essential Craftsman too. He’s such a professional, and I enjoy his take on life, work, and a job well done.
@@wanderwoodfarm3801 , well, crud. Guess I have more learning to do, as if SketchUp wasn't enough. For some reason, I now think I'm just crazy enough to start filming myself as I do projects on my property, both to document the effort and to share with others (mostly my family, but maybe even to publish later). Thanks a lot, I think. Just went and jumped down the rabbit hole of checking out a bunch of different selections of music.
The heating subfloor looks great. Wondering tho, does the staircase end have enough groove space for the tubing to be installed? Maybe the insulation was covering it up in the video. (Guess I'll have to wait for the next installment of the series) I'm very impressed with your SketchUp drawing. I've recently started a drawing for a future post frame build of my own. Quite a learning curve.
Thanks. We’re happy with it too. Good eye regarding the groove on the one side of the floor; it definitely won’t accommodate the tubing. No issue though because we’ll be doing “custom grooves” on that side. You’ll see that in the next upload. It’s an interesting process using a router and template provided by Warmboard. SketchUp is great but definitely a learning curve. Just be patient and keep chugging away. Our very detailed drawing was assembled slowly over 18 months, and I’m still learning new ways to use the tool.
Yup. All radiant floor. Three zones. Main barn, office, and loft. Thoughts are that we’d set the barn temp lower (maybe 55F) for comfortable working conditions and to save a bit of energy/wood. We’ll also have mini-splits in the office and loft to provide heating if we’re gone for an extended period. That’ll be protection from freeze. Plus (most) insurance companies will not cover your building with wood as your only heat source.
Yup. So they’re the newer heat pump technology that operates efficiently down to very cold outdoor temperatures. Ours are LGRED from LG. Did a 7k unit in loft; 9k in office. We have them, but we haven’t started the install.
@@wanderwoodfarm3801 I want to put one in for a room at my house so I have watched some installation videos. You can get them with pre-vaccumed lines but the the tubes all seem so long and if I want them custom length so I do not have to coil up the excess I have to hire someone. The trouble is finding someone to do only that part as they usually want to do the complete installation.
Really great content. Thanks for putting it together!

Nice work, looks good, please show more tiny dog.
The tiny dog must’ve been at daycare that day. Probably best though. He’d have been bored watching us work up there.
Can you give me the name of the music track at the very beginning with playlist/mood label? And at 5:10ish?
Edit: found one of them.

Where bends are look kindoff shitty. Thought qwality of it would be better. Thanks for video.

Are you using the same underfloor heating in the office as well, if not how are you going to heat it?

We just bought normal line sets (precut to the approx lengths). We’ll need to get a vacuum pump to evacuate them. Who knows when we’ll get to that.
