The prequels got a lot of mixed reception. And whether people enjoy them or not, that's all good with me. But the games like Bounty Hunter, Starfighter/Jedi, Republic Commando etc were boss! Maybe a bit rough around the edges here and there, but gameplay concept and story are solid.
A great game. It took me a few years and some education in plot development to figure it out, but this is how dooku's plan started... He needed to clone a perfect soldier. Not just one who could follow orders, but one good enough to kill an incredibly well-trained Jedi... For Order 66. And so the plot thickens.
Whoa! Playing this game as a kid, I just thought he chose Fett because he was badass. I never caught on that he was looking for a Jedi killer for Order 66. Fascinating!
Fett almost certainly knew it too. The man hated the Jedi, blamed them for the destruction of the True Mandalorians and his own enslavement. "They'll do their job well. I'll guarantee that"
And aside from killing an apprentice-level Jedi like Vosa; he also outlasted several Jedi strike teams during the Mandalorian war, he wasn't able to defeat them but he was able to survive them
I loved this game and the story. They didn't try to overly patronize or romanticize Jango Fett but they showed how he was more than just a hired gun. Especially if you read his comics where you learn he was part of the Mandolorians via adoption and how his people were almost wiped out by the Jedi (though they were being manipulated by "Dark Jedi" into it and didn't know it). You can easily see his disdain of Jedi but you also learn he has a culture he follows, a custom. His people wiped out almost, himself one of the very last true Mandolorians. He loved his people, he loved his culture and he sought to be a father and pass on his ways. And they did in Boba Fett, who later became Mandalore on the new Mandolorian planet that helped bring their culture back. For all his harshness and at times cutthroat ways, Jango was directly responsible for restoring his people. THat's what made this game awesome: Not just great playing but a great storyline that was true to the attitude and style of Lucas.
After this game I learned to love Jango. Then I watched how easily he went down in Attack of the Clones. I know Mace Windu is Samuel. L. Jackson but Fett should've done better than that.
He got unlucky when a beast damaged his jetpack. Jango didn't see that and started to fight Windu. He was going to fly off to create some distance but jetpack didn't start and Jango died for it.
Can you imagine if Jango said no? Count Dooku would have killed him on the spot, but its interesting to see how Dooku saves any sort of threats until he needs to use them. Truly is the calmest Sith Lord.
@@blackriflesmatter7683 Not to mention the money. Jango was making serious bank once he started working with Dooku, as the Kaminoan who spoke with Obi-wan told him when he visited Kamino. The five million he got was just a sip of the jug he would chug for the next decade. Despite all of that, Jango chose to dedicate his life to raising Boba up until his death, so while the money helped, Boba was the real legacy Jango would leave behind.

I think it was a good death, he went down in a blaze of gunfire, fighting a Jedi Master. Jango went down like a man, his character was by far the best part of Episode II.
Its too bad they never made the sequel with Boba Fett. I would have loved to play his adventures up until his official death, and I'm not talking about the Sarlacc Pit from episode 6. on the official Wiki it says that thanks to Boba's special armor and the extra weapons in his pockets he was able to escape the Sarlacc when he ripped himself out of its stomach.

@gr13v0u5: How the Bando Gora become what they are is because there is a new type of death-sticks, with a special ingrediant form the Xitel plant, thats what gives the new Death sticks a little "kick" as well as turning you into a mindless zombie. Once that happens you are then enslaved by Vosa.
My favorite star wars game ever..... Always will be...... Remember playin it as a little kid not knowin what the hell was goin on and now it makes much more sense!
You are correct. In fact: Tyranus gave Vosa's lightsabers to Ventress, which she used during the Clone Wars (as shown in the Clone Wars 3D animated tv series).
A lot of the story as to why Tyranus commissioned an army of clones and why they kill the Jedi is explained in Boba Fett: The Fight to Survive, Boba Fett: Crossfire, and Boba Fett: Maze of Deception
Cool ending. You know, Vosa's lightsabers get given to Asajj Ventress in the Clone Wars cartoon. You did a really good job there, now i'm going to go play it. All of it :D
What a fantastic game - this game to me was much more then just an Episode 2 tie in....for once, instead of more Jedi vs Sith stuff, you get something more original and unique, playing a type of role you normally wouldn't. It was short, yet very difficult which most games aren't nowadays, the music was awesome and nothing is more bad-ass then playing Jango Fett (well, except maybe his son :P). Thanks for the walkthrough; great seeing this game again :)
@gr13v0u5 Here's my explanation: the Bando Gora is a vampire sect. Komari Vosa is a Ghoul serving one of the leading vampires, and the secret ingredient added to the Xitel plant in the death sticks is her master's blood. The Bando Gora is not dead. There is still a higher power at work in the shadows of the night.
Komari vosa: "Which will it be bounty hunter, dead or alive?" "He is here." (Dooku kills vosa with force choke). Count dooku: "Congratulations, bounty hunter." Jango fett: "Tyranus?" Count dooku: "I'm impressed no ordinary man can defeat one trained in the jedi arts, especially one trained by me.Komari vosa was once an excellent pupil, if a bit unstable." Jango fett: "You knew vosa was here." Count dooku: "I thought she might one day prove a valuable ally, instead she became a liability." Jango fett: "If you could have easily killed her before why put a price on her head?" Count dooku: "To find you, this contest brought you to me." Jango fett: "I'll collect the reward now." Count dooku: "Of course, of course, five million was it?" "Or much more, if you'll come with me too kamino to be cloned." Jango fett: "You want to clone me?" Count dooku: "Imagine an army of clones, the training of which you will oversee. They will be modified to grow at twice the rate of ordinary men, and will be programmed for absolute loyalty. They will be magnificent, perfect warriors, like you." Jango fett: "What makes you think i'd be interested?" Count dooku: "A chance at immorality, to pass on your ways to an army crafted in your image, a great deal of money." "How could a man such as you not be interested?" Jango Fett : "I'll accept your offer, Tyranus. On one condition..." Count Dooku : "And that is?" Jango Fett : "I want the first clone for myself, unmodified." Count Dooku : "Might I inquire as to why?" Jango Fett : "You might..." Count dooku: "Very well, consider it done, we have a deal then, jango fett." Jango fett: "Deal." Zam Wessell: "Guess you got her, huh?" Jango Fett: "You could say that." (ZAM AND JANGO REGARDING KAMARI VOSA). Zam Wessell: "So, we're going to split the bounty 50/50, right?" Jango Fett: "Don't push your luck, Zam."
This ending was my big A-HA moment. Dooku is the one behind the Clone Army, meaning that the Kaminoans were the in the pockets of Sidious and Dooku before the Republic arrived with an offer to purchase the army. The republic interest's also being Sidious' of course.
wow most of these games happened before some movies or in between movies like force unleashed was in between episodes 3 and 4 its so cool with the back story of jango
Ah brings back memories. She looks lot fitter than I remember, the jedi Jango kills. The graphics are alot better than I thought, well aint played this since 2002 odd.
+m11ty2 because when Dooku ordered them he made the order under the name Sifo Diyas, who he then killed. The clone army was trained to serve the republic and the chancellor, because Sideous told Dooku to make it that way. Dooku being an idiot and didn't recognize the chin or voice of his master or the incredibly strong power of the dark side in the chancellor didn't find out the chancellor was sidious until moments before his death.
Seeing these videos up to this point, I must say I kind of regret I didn't have a PS2 the day this game came out. It's good that you gave a chance for other people to discover it. :) But there's still something I don't get about the Bando Gora folks. Are they, like, Force zombies or something? Do they have anything to do with the Dark Side? Either way, those guys were pretty creepy. 8B
they made jango fett true neutral in the game but he felt neutral evil in the film when he kill zam wessel i wish they made the star wars story line more coherent
He shoots her in the movie because Jango knows that she was going to die anyway, and plus, if she spilled the beans on who she was working for, Fett would be in trouble, so he had no choice.
Perhaps the request for the clone that's unmodified may be the one wearing the suit and was killed by mace in episode 2. And jango, the real one, is living with his money, and enjoying his retirement. Would you agree? 😁
They're the same person. For some strange reason Zam has trouble holding her human form in AOTC. I guess Lucas thought that would be a convenient way to show she's a shape-shifter, as this game came out after the movie.
Wrong UTFRG.... Tyranus made the army under the orders of his master, Palpatine, known as the Sith Lord throughout episodes I-III. Tyranus then ordered the Kaminoans to give the army to the Republic, disguised as Sifo Dyas. Palpatine later became the Chancellor of the Republic and was granted emergency powers. He then legally ordered the troops to attack the Jedi and their temple, and proceeded to declare Dictatorship. The troopers weren't ever undercover; they were just following orders.
Actually, I think that the first clone he wanted was the clone jango in the movie, the one that died. The real jango must've taken his cash with him to live in retirement. Do you think this could be the case? I'm thinking so 🤔
This game was pretty awesome through and through and I personally think LucasArts should make a Bounty Hunter 2 sequel. Same basic idea but better graphics and this one features Boba Fett and some other bounty hunters like Bossk or Dengar. If Jango has his own game featuring him then why not Boba Fett. Sounds like a good idea to me.
I love how you can feel that Zam thinks Jangos hot, but he's just like, "What ever, bitch. I ain't got time for that." Like at 2"19 until the end. BANG BANG, SHOT DOWN!!!
You see in this game Jango Fett is a more heroic character, and he was just so epic in this. You see I played this game before seeing Episode 2 and Jango was like a hero to me. And then they portray him as an asshole in the movie. And when he was killed it was horrifying to me because I became so fond of him. I wouldn't really care if he was evil, but isn't, and he did not deserve to die.
Actually I theorized that Omega is the clone of Komari Vosa. I could understand from Dooku's perspective that he cared deeply for his former apprentice the same way he had with Qui Gon. He wanted to save whatever was left of Komari Vosa by cloning her, and later make her into his apprentice.
I tell you what, Lucas Arts was on fire with the Star Wars video games in the early 2000's.

No, Count Dooku in the game is NOT Christopher Lee, in the game it's Corey Burton. Burton also does Dooku in the animated Clone Wars series.
Seeing these videos up to this point, I must say I kind of regret I didn't have a PS2 the day this game came out. It's good that you gave a chance for other people to discover it. :)
But there's still something I don't get about the Bando Gora folks. Are they, like, Force zombies or something? Do they have anything to do with the Dark Side? Either way, those guys were pretty creepy. 8B
Cute ending. Sad he killed her in Ep II.
@1337ijs, I think so. It sounds like Christopher Lee, but I could be wrong.
@Freelancer591, "Well, only one thing left to do. Pick his pockets and collect my money." lol
Yeah, I loved this game aswell. And they are brill for the year. And no problem.
they made jango fett true neutral in the game but he felt neutral evil in the film when he kill zam wessel
i wish they made the star wars story line more coherent
They are making one!! called star wars 1313 :D
rip
Thanks very much =)
He shoots her in the movie because Jango knows that she was going to die anyway, and plus, if she spilled the beans on who she was working for, Fett would be in trouble, so he had no choice.
well if you watch the scenes enough times, and try to search for stuff, they'll come to your mind :)
Perhaps the request for the clone that's unmodified may be the one wearing the suit and was killed by mace in episode 2. And jango, the real one, is living with his money, and enjoying his retirement. Would you agree? 😁
@Nantchev well that was the plan all along. Sidious and Dooku pit both sides against each other. dooku got "phased" out though....
They're the same person. For some strange reason Zam has trouble holding her human form in AOTC. I guess Lucas thought that would be a convenient way to show she's a shape-shifter, as this game came out after the movie.
Thanks mate =)
the recruiting scene on Boctom (I do not know how to spell it, I just heard it once)
So this is how Boba Fett and the clones were created and born by Darth Tyranus and Jango Fett of the legendary story
Thanks :)
0:24 Damn Jango calm the fuck down
I LUV HIS MASK VOICE
he loved zam..but then he killed her because oof th instinct to save himself...
hey pencil thats game is soo cool i like jango
Thanks alot.
The troopers weren't ever undercover; they were just following orders.
it's sad playing an entire game around a badass cast to just see em die in episode 2. :(
Actually, I think that the first clone he wanted was the clone jango in the movie, the one that died. The real jango must've taken his cash with him to live in retirement. Do you think this could be the case? I'm thinking so 🤔
They are sort of undercover they really serve the emperor and then when they where ready they betrayed them and killed hundreds of Jedi unsuspectingly
this game was ace!!! never completed it though :(
The Brigadier Someone day my name?
@Caeneth Because she was going to ''rat'' him out (again). As much as Jango would love to have 10 million Jedi after him......
No prob, thanks for the support :}
I wouldn't really care if he was evil, but isn't, and he did not deserve to die.
they say in the film Attack of the clones or did you play this first
I want a sequel to this. It would have been funny if instead of saying "dont push your luck zam" he should have just thrown her over the cliff.
I'll collect that reward now!!!
@Freelancer591 or.
"Congratulations, boun."
*BANG*
"Oh I'm sorry did I break your concentration?"
cool vid have u seen mine yet
Tyranus was cheap a little here. Because he promised cash instead gave him more life. And Jango has honor to grant the death wish of his friend.
Boba Fett is Jango Fett they are the exact same thing that's what clones are
I love Jangos voice
Does the guy who plays Dooku in the movies do the voice of dooku in the game?
Dat reaction though
Boba did not die! Got himself scarred up, yeah, but dead? Nope!
That's the life of a bounty hunter......strictly business......
so thats why the clones from order 66 were capable for killing jedi!
Would’ve been awesome if they made a second game with Boba Fett & Darth Vader.
1 clone for myself? Is that Boba or his clone so when he die, this clone will be activated? Which would ment that Jango... Oh lol.
Yeah, that's exactly what I said to another guy, I think they just try to annoy you by asking the same question again! =/
yeah that'd be great, except it should happen after fet crawls out of the sarlacc pit, now that would be interseting to see!
and this is how clones were born
Yeah, believe it or not, that's him :).
Kinda ironic how Dooku creates the army but then they are used against him.
Jango: I want the first clone for myself *UNMODIFIED*
*Omega exists*
Count Dooku: Make that male and a female
Actually I theorized that Omega is the clone of Komari Vosa. I could understand from Dooku's perspective that he cared deeply for his former apprentice the same way he had with Qui Gon. He wanted to save whatever was left of Komari Vosa by cloning her, and later make her into his apprentice.
1313 could've been something of a sequel, but that got canned too
