Thank you for sharing. I got covid in the summer of 2020, shortly after finishing chemo. Due to the I have never recovered and now suffer from long covid and MECFS. I am still struggling to learn how to still enjoy my crafts while allowing my body to rest. I am so thankful for crafters who have a chronic illness to talk about it and how it affects their craft life and how they navigate that.

Thank you for sharing and being honest. It's a weird world with social media often pushing only the perfect or a rose-tinted side to life. Sometimes, things are a bit rubbish (or very rubbish!) and it's important that we share that side too. Many people feel alone and yet so many of us are actually struggling with the same or similar things.
I really hope that you feel better very very soon and that you reap the rewards of all of your efforts.
I see from Instagram that you had a fun time at the stitch festival and being a Catwalk model ;) so lovely to see that you are able to enjoy life amongst the rubbish parts. Your attitude is definitely serving you well :)
Sending healing energies your way :)

Thank you Emily ❤️ I really appreciate your kind comment ❤️❤️ It is very tempting to just post the good bits but that really isn’t the reality of life especially not living with chronic illness! But crafting keeps me going and the community is just the best.
Saturday was amazing! Hard with my chronic fatigue but so worth it! Really needed ❤️

Thank you for your honesty. I live with a chronic pain condition with fatigue too, it's very hard for people to understand how debilitating it is. I have really had to slow down and pace myself which is really hard to do when you've lived a life so busy.
Crafting has been my saviour, I just wouldn't have got through the last few years without it.
I do hope you are able to slow down and start feeling better soon xx

Hi Rachel, I really hope you recover soon. My husband and I had a nasty virus that went on for weeks and he ended up with pleurisy as well. Luckily it didn’t last long but a month on we’re both still absolutely exhausted. Unfortunately we can’t take time to recover because we’re both caring for elderly relatives with dementia. As a CFS sufferer I totally agree with your thoughts on what’s important in life. I used to consciously live slowly and I felt so much better. Hope you enjoyed the stitch festival and it’s not been too tiring for you. Take care 💞💞💞

I’ve developed cos arthritis and fybro since I had my Covid jabs. I worked 60 hours a week at the vac site so I was pro vaccine. I have had to follow GP advice and retire in my 40s…… it’s so hard on you mentally because you are just physically unable to do so much…. I know your pain, it’s tough isn’t it? I knit so much because it helps my hands, lifts my mood and the motion just relaxes me. I was in hospital last month with chest pain…. It’s horrid. I’ve removed chemicals from the house as much as I can and wanting to come off morphine etc and using alternate options x

Hi Rachel. Chostoconritis is actually the inflammation of the cartilage that connects the ribs with the breast bone which I think it's the reason why it's so painful. I've had it a few times and I know how bad it can be so I really feel for you. I think resting is the best solution but I understand how you feel that you need to carry on at times. I think you'd made the right call however difficult it is for you. Take care of yourself and go with the flow if you can. I really hope you get over it all soon x

I really appreciate this video Rachael, I've had severe MECFS for about 12 or 13 years now. I do a back to basics reset when I'm getting really exhausted too. Do you have a nap during the day? After lunch I literally get undressed and get in bed, put my eye mask on and an old audiobook on really quietly. It took a few months for my body to actually sleep but now it's "muscle memory". I've found it stops my body from producing adrenaline in the afternoon because I'm tired but don't realise it, or I'm in pain. I wish I'd known years ago, it has made so much difference. Really hope you're feeling a bit better soon, and the stitch festival outing doesn't exhaust you too much. Sending loads of love xxx

Keto diet helps all these illnesses! Give it a 3 month trial 😊 Dr Eric Westman helps not go to extreme.
