Disaster struck on our NC500 campervan park-up for the night, proving UK Van Life isn't always easy, especially in the far North East of Scotland where Amazon take a week to get there 😅
Also in this video, we eat some Vegan food meals in Dornach, and drink hot chocolate at Cocoa Mountain, where they thankfully have plant-based Milks
And aren't Scottish beaches stunning!!
Before heading off to Big Burn Waterfall in Golspie, followed by the amazing Dunrobin Castle. Then off to Wick (the furthest point on our trip yet)
We love the East Coast of Scotland and thoroughly recommend the whole NC500 Road trip, it should be on everyone's bucket list as the scenery is just spectacular, and the people are wonderful & friendly

December 23 2022: Your journey is full of beautiful adventures and the ones you could do without like the battery. You both handle the concerns together, how stronger it makes both of you as a couple. Liam you are so incredible to continue to reassure Janine from safety to car parking. Life is what the challenges bridge us stronge. Thank you for sharing your life good and bad and indifferent. You are truly transparent.
December 23 2022: Although at times we do need that lift the best is outside into nature. Even today here in Maryland the weather is very nippy but with a few layers and gloves what a treat. Loving your journey that you so openly take us all on. This too gives us I believe when we are shut in a time to feel rejuvinated with your walks. Good for Janine to putting one foot in fromt of the other.

You can eat the Gorse flowers. They have a pleasant sweetness to them. Edit: be careful to positively identify it though as I believe there is atleast one, possibly more, that can be mistaken for Gorse. Gorse has thorns. Pretty sure that’s the main identifier. But as with all foraging, don’t take anyone’s word on it (I’m sure you know that anyway), always double check for yourselves.

Welcome to the Highlands. Most UK companies don't recognise Highland postcodes as "mainland UK", so point blankly refuse to deliver to Inverness or North of it. Trust me, it's so fecking frustrating.
Also it's mountainous, so obviously you won't always get a phone signal.
It's not like the central belt of Scotland nor populated places in England.
Keep a look out for pot holes ;-)

Did you visit the Isle of Arran ? Most tourists visit the Isle of Skye, Isle of Mull. While Arran always gets overlooked.
Absolute loving follow you guys journey, I hope you manage to get a charger soon. Enjoy the fantastic scenery, I started following you guy initially as a fellow vegan. I worry every time I travel that I can't find vegan options, take care and most of all have a blast.

The North East Coast of Scotland technically is the Tayside, Fife and Grampian area so you're actually in the Highlands which is near the West Coast so you're on the North East Coast of the Highlands which is West of the Grampian area. Great video and food otherwise 👌 Those Happy Days.

Some interesting pronunciations of place names. You’re not doing yourself any favours parking overnight where your not meant to.
Bad times on the camera, the sea looks picturesque at least. Storage wise might be worth getting some cloud backup (Although depends on Internet access I guess).
Yeah the cloud thing would work but one bar of 4g it would take months to upload haha
@@ThoseHappyDays Deffo have to abuse some WIFI hot spots lol. Always maybe worth checking out Hot UK deals maybe for some bargain external drive options, they are getting fairly cheap these days. (Be careful on brand though, and if you need me to check lemme know. Certain brands have high failure rates).

@@ThoseHappyDays I remember 70GB costing around 80 quid and when a PC died once I had to deal with a 1.6GB drive and enough RAM to run either a game or music but so old it couldn't do both.
