Refugee Children in Uganda Need Your Support

Children belong in school... But what if they don't have parents, or their parents can't afford it?
Our program HelpKids gives you the opportunity to give the gift of education to children in Africa. In Uganda, we have partnered with two schools.
One of them is Youth Initiative Primary School. The school is located in the Kyaka II refugee camp in western Uganda, home to more than 120,000 refugees from Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
The school was founded by young people who also came here as refugees. They managed to get an education and returned to the camp to help other children. They look after 450 children from pre-school to the first grade of primary school. This is the only school in the wider area that provides education to the children along with lunch.
