I was actually quite surprised Ratchet does quite a bit in the first film because I always thought he was just, there, in the background with a few bits of dialogue. He was one of my top favourites both in design and character whenever the films remembered it was about giant transforming robots and gave him and the others a bit of screen time to develop (somewhat). I remember almost tearing up at the start of AOE when they decided to kill off Ratchet in the most brutal way possible. Never even got to fix Bees voice box too and we got a terrible alternative to that issue in TLK.
Ratchet was a transformers that after wanting to get him as a figure, I watched him in the backround everytime he was on screen. It made me even sadder when he died on aoe after really liking his character. R.I.P. One of the best transformers
Honestly, he’s probably not uncomfortable at all. Bumblebee was Sam’s wingman from the start. Also, in the tie-in comics, it shows that Bumblebee is just a massive shipper. Don’t forget that Bee is very young, most likely still a teen. He’s the youngest Autobot and one of, if not THE youngest naturally-born Cybertronian in existence. He shares the same mentality as Sam :)
My biggest gripe with Bay's Ratchet is that he never does medic things. He literally just stays in vehicle mode as Bumblebee had his leg blown off even after Sam calls out his name for help.
Rachet is hands down my favorite character across any continuity of Transformers, when I heard he died in AOE my heart literally broke in two. I didn't watch it cause people said it sucked, but still, sadness 😔
Can we acknowledge that several years later even though he tried to place the allspark in his chest to save save humanity many years later he would end up doing it to restore cybertron in Transformers Prime? Optimus the Legend
They Should make Rachet white and red colour Like it was originally in transformers. It would stand out in colour because him and bumblebee should be looking different in colour.
I like how in the first movie when they went to sams house they where supposed to be quiet but instead the did the exact opposite of what they were supposed to do especially bumblebee bee because his been on earth for year decades actually
