South Carolina fan here and I absolutely love this Iowa team. Not just Clark but these ladies lady Hawkeyes entertained me throughout the tournament. Thank you! Class, grace and great representatives of your university and ambassadors for women's basketball.
Beautiful words of appreciation for an exemplary team of young ladies who experienced quite a year. South Carolina was awesome and had to be to beat these tough Iowans. Very mature interview for a young woman who has just lost the national championship game. She did a great job of holding it together when one knows what disappointment she must be feeling. I enjoyed watching her play. She is a great basketball player. I know she'll be as successful in life as she was on the court.
I love Gabbie! She accepted her role on defense and not only embraced it she owned it! To be fair, the first time I noticed her was her beautiful eyes. Aside from so many wonderful things I could say she owns the term tenacious! I love this girl! 💞💕
Gabbie will be greatly missed at Iowa but the joy she brought as the Bull Dog on Defense and her 3 pt Sniping made for a lot of excitement. She will always be a Hawkeye wherever she goes and be a part of Iowa Basketball History!! Congrats Gabbie on a Great Career and good luck at NC!!

I wonder if players like Gabbie would even be selected in the WNBA draft. For example the three players who actually won the championship for LSU last year, Alexis Morris, Jasmine Carson, and Williams, I forgot her first name, they entered the draft last year and all got selected in later rounds but all were eventually cut. I guess it shows how difficult it is to make it in the WNBA even if you are skilled. Gabbie is shorter in height than many players but still not as short as Hailey Van Lith.

The Iowa Team was an all around nice group of Women. It was not just their game that attracted the crowds.
The fans loved these Women because they felt a connection to them.
They will probably be remembered as the most loved team in the history of Women's College Basketball.
Iowa was a class team. And the coach for South Carolina is a classy coach. She recognized Catlin and gave her praise. What a great lady. She also is a good hearted person. Good luck to her team next year.

I was not an Iowa fan before , but Gabbie & this team stole my heart - ( and a LOT of other people's) with their tenacity , grit and love for the game . They made it fun to watch . Best wishes to Gabbie as she comes to my state of NC for her graduate degree!

You have to just love Gabbie Marshall.
She that type of player you have to have on your roster. She’s my favorite player on the Iowa team. She gets every ounce of production possible from the tools she born with.
Gabbie M - Absolute Dawg on ball defense and fighting over screens. She will be hard to replace, the level of defensive pressure and basketball IQ may have flown under the radar , but she is an absolute savage if you go back and watch her. Coach B will be lucky to replace that intensity. She’s a winner, you can tell by the emotion in this interview. Great run Hawkeyes, the team chemistry and level of play made an unbelievable tourney watch 🎉
The older you get the more you ladies will look back on this time and "loss" will just be a word. Great run. Be very proud of yourselves bc we are. You also lost to a tremendous team. That, too, will feel good to look back on, trust me! Your hard work, together, is obvious and you deserve your spot at the top! Chins up, you all did great!

SC fan and I so enjoyed watching Gabbie and Kate and how they handled being such phenomenal players but not the focal point. Their 3 point shooting and what they brought to the team on defense made them a joy to watch throughout this tournament! Great game Iowa!

What a terrific group of young ladies so dedicated to their team, school and sport. Congrats to their coach and team for such clean enthusiastic performances. Quality every one and Gabbie is beautiful with beguiling eyes. Should have them all on the cover of Sports Illustrated. .
Proud LSU alumn here. No matter win or lose, these ladies (LSU, South Carolina, Iowa, USC, and countless others) have changed the game of women's basketball. The WNBA will be on fire and I hope the momentum of the fans doesn't end at collegiate level. This is history in the making!

@@jeffk4710 This is the reality for 99% of women's players. There are fewer roster spots for women, with far fewer teams.
Some could go to Europe and do well over there. Monica Czinano is on a roster in Europe.

Gabbie is one of the best female athletes I've seen. Very quick, very good with her hands. She never looked gassed as well, endurance was quite something. Props to her and the Hawkeyes team!

D1 Athletes are winners to get to that level, cream of the crop. Tears are expected but when you are a parent of a D1 player knowing what it takes to be their and raise the bar to even get in the Bracket is beyond any kids imagination. Congrats to all D1 athletes. Women's sports are getting the ratings and it is nice to see.

I am a South Carolina fan but give credit to lowa. Caitlin is good but Martin is very good to. A smart WNBA team needs to draft her. With the right team, a good coach helping her perfect the areas that need work might get her a few years professionally. Gabbie has a lot of heart but her career is done. She's a cutie. ❤❤❤

A coach was famously quoted as saying, "Ya can't coach size!" And that was definitely true in this game. Having Magilla Gorilla in the middle disrupted a lot, created multiple offensive possessions, causing loose ball fouls on the Hawkeyes. A sad ending to an otherwise fantastic season.

@@bryanhallman8183 Cardosa played an excellent game, just as clean as Iowa. SC was by far the better team. The "Magilla Gorilla" crack tells me all I need to know about you. Quite frankly, CC is a screaming b!tch on the court, Cordosa quite pleasant and all business. You saw a completely different game than I did, and I'm not a SC fan. SC completely outclassed Iowa on the court.
Caitlin and the Seniors are class acts! No Women's player has ever brought so much attention to Women's Basketball, put more butts in seats, sold out more Arenas, OR set more records than Caitlin Clark!!! God bless the whole team for a FABULOUS season!!!
The fact they started out so strong and stayed up for so long… they couldn’t help but have such high hopes. Hard loss to take rather than if they just got dominated like everyone thought would happen with the SC dominance

Gabbie was hot today from 3 but didn't get off a lot of shots although she was open, but just didn't get fed the ball.
Thought Clark was off today in all respects, but they still hung tough.
Bottom line was height and athletic ability wasn't in their favor.
South Carolina was literally head and shoulders above them.
