I collected full sets of premier thru Hoth . One sealed first anthology box and stoped. I’m very pleased with this collection!

To complete your original trilogy non-foil collection there are 83 new cards found in episode 1 boosters.
    30 from Tatooine Booster
    14 from Coruscant Booster
    39 from Reflections 3 Premiums

Thanks for sharing this info! I didn’t have an exact count. Surprised there aren’t a few more than that from coruscant.

Actually, there are about a dozen of 325 cards from Premiere that are vitally useful. That is pretty low, mostly locations. But vital. Only about a dozen per set holds true from New Hope to Jabba's Palace too. SE has 2 dozen vital cards. The "Enhanced Premiere" 6 cards are all vital. Every deck should include all of those. Even 2 of each. The Endor set is below average but the DSII set has another viral dozen. Tatooine only has a couple vital cards. Theed and Coruscant each has another dozen each. Reflections II and III have a few vital cards each.

A fun tour through the history of the game. Those ESB 2 Player cards may be worth bindering if you're a major completionist like me due to the 1996 copyrights. As well as the Premiere 2P Moisture Farm and Electrobinoculars. I think they actually annoyed me more when getting the ANH and Hoth Revised sets since I to keep making sure sellers had 1998 dates.

I started out just wanting to collect the cards I played with in my childhood. I was planning Premiere through Special Edition. When I completed that I figured Endor & DSII would really be a more appropriate “completion” point. But throughout my early collecting I ended up with a handful of Reflection I cards so I thought that they really were just foils of the sets I already had. Long story short… I have all but 3 of the English cards, just about every sealed pack and/or box Decipher ever released and I am trying to get all of the Sales Sheets.
I still avoid the Japanese cards. I’m sure that domino will fall one day.

Same boat for me. Bought a $200 set of Reflections foils a few years ago just to have something again. Then decided I could fill out a binder with Enhanced stuff, mains, and such. Then found a couple collections at great prices...now I'm the ICSD foil from an English set with a binder full of extra mains and money cards.

Are you sure that the prices of the complete sets are that low? I remember seeing WB Dagobah go for $600 for example.

I think things have come down, quite significantly. There’s a video with a spreadsheet that tracks average prices for sets. Can find it here: th-cam.com/video/xNHtANLDUt4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qUdbVboRa5P21cmI

    Ebay set prices...Premiere= 150, New Hope = 75, Hoth = 125, Dagobah = 100, CC = 50, JP = 50, SE = 200, Endor = 175, DSII = 450 w/ 2 UR, Tat = 125, Theed = 300, Coruscant = 350, REF II = 150, REF III = 300. Your welcome.

Appreciate you putting this up there! I think you might be a little off in a few of the later sets. Coruscant, Theed and DS2 w URs are all steals at those prices.

But complete sets aren’t even enough if you want to play! How many cards do you need x2, c3 or more of?
Just-collecting deprives you the best aspects of playing the game itself. Just be prepared for learning curve.

Play for free online with gemp. Or unless you’re entering in actual tournaments, just print off what you want and use proxies. There’s no reason to spend $50 on a Lord Vader unless you’re really into actual cards. I’ll also just note that so much of this is meta dependent. Are you playing with episode one stuff? With virtual cards? A deck that’s good for prem-ds2 is going to get smashed in a different format. If you want to build decks, I’d say to pick a format and get a play group all committed to playing in that format and build around it.
