When i try the same steps, after Browse -> click on Open button, it is opening PDF directly in Acrobat Reader and not in Word. Its not showing the popup at all. Any help?

If i have created a word file with coloured page and font too. while i am converting this in to pdf file the colour of page and fonts are not seen in pdf file. it seem white page and fonts are disappeared. How can I stop/prevent converting into word document, so the user will get gibrish data once converted? Note, I want to avoid third party app like ilovepdf, cause they will easily convert into a word doc even if you have limited permissions or set password.
