real old school Shotokan , this guy had a fearsome reputation for fighting prowess, and was the instructor of the legendary Mikio Yahara in Yahara's early days, You can see he is the real deal. Glad that there are instructors like him who can pass on their vast knowledge. you can see his power and attention to detail. Brilliant.
You surely do not want to... this man was known as Yano, the beast, and was a mental case and a sadist who liked to hurt people, ask Yahara sensei and read from Stan Schmidt sensei R.I.P. about his experiences with him in JKA Hombu in the sixties. How he could advance to hachidan is out of my imagination.
@@michide72 you can tell by his hands that he is very serious in his training, so I think what they mean is that he is a drill sergeant. I saw other videos where he would put people on 1000 tsuki and then 1000 keri, which is obviously just pushing the body to its limits. Probably not very effective to do this all the time. But technically speaking, he is very good, especially at his age. That said, I would probably get bored if he doesn't do bunkai ^^`
Sad to say,, the 8th-10th Dan GrandmasterS,, of Karate,, & Taekwondo,, cannot join the world competition,, or tournaments,, all they have to do,, is,, to teach,, thats all,,, 🖐️🖐️🖐️🖐️
Amazing. I have had to quit karate after a bad injury recently but I still get so much from watching a Sensei like this.
