    Great video. Very cinematic. Good to know. I can use waypoints at night. Wondering if RTH works at night as well. I take it you are liking your Mavic 3 classic. I am still in the process of getting one. A definite buy. Studying up for my RPAS up here in Ontario.

      Larry, the return to home does work, in the last portion of the video when I'm talking the drone is doing the return to home however, it is unable to do the precision landing it can during daylight. I'm going to continue to try and find different features to spotlight at night because I don't think there's enough people doing them. I appreciate you watching!

      I crashed mine the other day Mavic 2 Pro. I believe I accidentally turned off obstacle avoidance and hit a big tall tree. Broke propellers and left rear arm.
      Like your video that Mavic 3 Pro is very nice!

      I'm sorry to hear that Steve. It's never fun to crash, hopefully you can get it all fixed up!

    And I assumed that Mavic 3 can do it at night since it has infrared sensors. A true miracle of technology!
    You made a great presentation bro, congratulations!
    Excellent night shots!

      Thank you so much brother I guess I never considered that lol. But that would be why. Thank you for watching!

    I was worried the drone was gonna crash flying at night, but it did well. Definitely worth the money.

      I definitely had my apprehensions about doing it for sure but it performed flawlessly. Some times the technology does what it's supposed to do lol. Thank you Chris!

    Awesome Jason I would not have even known that you can set a flight up with waypoints.
    The video turned out really good.

      Thank you very much Drew, it's a very handy tool if you want to make sure you can make the same flight over and over again. People use it for construction jobs or different season changes. I haven't used it much but I'm learning. Appreciate you watching my friend!

      Thank you bro, it is a great drone and I hope to get more of the features tested at night

    Great test! did you 1st put the video setting into night mode before starting the waypoint mission? would be great to know if video night mode works?

    • @JJDrones
      @JJDrones  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I started the drone in night mode but then when it started the way points mission it changed to regular video. So I paused the mission and changed it back to night mode and that's what you saw as the end product!

    I have a question. First, great video. Everytime I do a video it'll only record for 3:02 and stop. Can you help me with this?

    • @JJDrones
      @JJDrones  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would probably need a bit more information. What you're recording on, length of the recording, etc

      @JJDrones I'm flying a dji Mavic 3 classic and I've been using the SanDisk extreme. It's a 128gb and it's also a v30. Called dji and they asked if the SD I was using did I try it on another device. Yeah, I had it on my Nintendo switch. I was told to reformat which I did but still nothing. Bought a new SD card and still only 3:02 of recording time then it stops

      That's definitely an issue with the drone then because the drone, when working properly films in 5 minute increments, but then creates an entirely new file. Sounds like they need to either repair or replace that one. Sorry that's not something that's an easy fix

    If eg waypoint 3 is on a hill, how to define and set the correct altitude? And if waypoint 4 is downhill....

    • @JJDrones
      @JJDrones  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's the greatest thing about waypoints is you go to the location you want at the correct altitude and you hit the button and it saves that point. So if I was going to go up a hill I'd start at the bottom at let's say 60 feet, then I'd go up the hill and maybe be at 120 feet, depending on the size of the hill. I'd stop at 5 or 6 intermediate spots to make sure I was having a steady climb.

      @WiljanWiljan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JJDrones great! And how to set this up when you plan the waypoint mission eg from your home? How to handle this with flying around a hill? Not sure if the mavic 3 calculates the hight difference between homepoint which is at a lower ground level compared to eg waypoint 3 or 4?

    • @JJDrones
      @JJDrones  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't set it up from home unless you really know the terrain. Definitely doing the waypoint mission set up in the field is the easiest and safest way to plan it

  • @RotorWorks

    I tried a night mode waypoint flight exactly like yours but mine jumps off night mode the moment it starts recording. What am I doing wrong?
    Also, the night. Mode crops a little, so if your blending night and day waypoints footage there would be a little crop to work out the difference in the edit.

    • @JJDrones
      @JJDrones  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. I do believe I addressed this problem at the end of the video, but as soon as you start the waypoint mission, pause the flight and then change the camera mode to night mode then continue and it works perfectly. As far as cropping I didn't address that so thank you for adding that to things to know!
