I took my RMA in 2014, and I was interviewed for a new company & they said I would need to be sure & take my CMA test. So now I'm back at studying and I'm so nervous, it's been awhile since school & my RMA test was 3 hours long. Back to studying again. This is very helpful. Thank you, I need to refresh my memory. I'm better when it's audio then reading to myself sometimes.
+Bangaly Bashir i remember all of this but i got the book to study for it and omg theres alot of things they didnt mention so it was scary but imma see how it goes

i graduated in 07 as a CMA through NCCT. i was certified for 5 years (it was not required at the time) and for the past 6 years i have not been certified because i became a massage therapist and then finished 1 year of nursing school before having children. I just accepted a full time MA position and am told I either need to work for 2 years or do school all over again ($8000 - in 06/07) to recertify... this is BS. any way around this? Im calling to talk to a supervisor tomorrow. I know I would ace the test. it was a stupid test in the first place.... grrr. and im missing out on .50 hr and cant enter info into the computer because of the stupid new rules... just take my $350 for the missed con-ed and let me take the simple 10 question quizzes that are a joke anyways... life... ugg. lesson. dont lapse certification....
Cara Cromie I think they just need you to be certified in case any negligence happens, the doctors and the company won't get in trouble. If you are not certified and something happens to a patient, the Drs and company could lose THEIR license for not having one of their employees licensed.
Krystal S yeah I totally understand, that's why they should allow me to recertify. i left the field again recently to go back to back to massage therapy where i renew my liabily ins for $100 per yr for $1 mil. this could easily be done... to little to late...
Cara, you mentioned taking "One year of nursing school and then had children" , Was that only two semesters or did you get three into it?' Probably you did not', *but if you did,* you can take the LPN test and become licensed . Everything is money too ,of course. But waht was said above about how the medical clinic and Dr's need you to be certified to protect them and you would need insurance and be covered , just in case anything did happen. They want you to pay for everything now and it is hard for people, Well this is in NYS though that I am speaking, if one has 'three semesters' ( but that would most likely be one year and a half not one year but you may have squeezed one in that you have missed mentioning??) people can take the test for LPN. NOT RN. For RN you must have the two years . But if you were taking the RN courses and have three semesters you should be very good to go and take the test for LPN? Worth checking out if interested any longer? Your pay would be higher if you did pass the test and got licensed. Medical Centers are glad to get LPN's, as well as hospitals, private duty and country nursing services and other services as such .
I just finished school for clinical medical assistant and I am studying to take my test will this help me with the certified medical assistant portion of the test
I have a question... when you went to school for being an assistant did you have to take full course classes like ( math , English,etc..) or was it just training and studying for your job bc I’m in college I want to drop out bc it’s too hard so I was thinking of being a medical assistant and going to a college for it ( sorry it’s long )
What's the difference between CMA and RMA? I'm planning on going to school soon to be a Medical Assistant and wanted to know before I got to the decision making
RMA is only good for the state that take the test in. CMA is good for every state. so if you take the CMA in one state and move you don't have to retake that test like you would with the CMA.
It has been accepted in all of the United States since 1989, (National Center for Competency Testing) It is an independent credentialing Organisation) *NCCT* Each state may have different qualifying paths.. So best to take tests in the same State you take training. as long as you can then pass test perhaps given by whatever place you will be working, you should be fine. Many times different places will test individually. They would cover what you have been trained in though.

How is everyone talking about this being great? The pronunciation is terrible! Caesarion describes a people group from caesarea whereas a cesarean AKA C-section is a procedure for delivering a baby when vaginal birthing is not an option. At least ensure the work is articulated correctly.

Cara Cromie I think certification and the job makes you ok
what do you mean?

Ashley Ostrega what if you take the NCCT test? Is that good in every state?
rma test I heard is easier and shorter.
