This reminds me of my wife and I during our honeymoon phase in the first couple years we were together. Sneaking out of our houses at night to see each other, taking long, night drives through our nearest big city. The tall buildings, the lights, windows down, summer air flowing in. Our late night talks, me sneaking into her window to sleep over with her. Then having to sneak back out at 5am, before either of our families noticed. Me driving to pick her up late at night when she called crying, because her mom had hurt her. Her speeding to me, after my wreck and being there in the hospital with me. Her name was the first word I spoke, after waking from a week long coma. I just remember it all, and looking back it feels like a lifetime ago. We’ve been together seven years, and it’s always so crazy to think about how much we’ve been through together. Things that should’ve split us up, somehow brought us so much closer. The traumas we endured with each other, strengthened our already tight bond. There’s no one else I’d rather take on this journey with.

@@jasonl2742: I first heard this when I was in London in late ‘09. Virgin Radio played it a lot but I was never able to track it down by title or group. I heard it very occasionally on radio but didn’t have web access till 2010 and had completely forgotten about it except for remembering how the chorus went. I just saw 500 Days of Summer and as soon as I heard the opening notes the light bulb went off; I immediately checked the soundtrack which led me here. Just an awesome song.

I absolutely love this song. I first found it in 2022 when i first watched Surviving Summer, and immediately fell in love with the song. You have NO idea how often i play this on loop and work on my little art projects (made a Narnia poster for my little sister while listening to a playlist, this being one of the top songs in the playlist with Running Up That Hill and Labour), and DAMN, this gives me so much fantasies in my head.
This song reminds me of the scene in a book or movie when two characters reunite after what felt like forever, and while theyre running towards eachother, the visuals are flicking from memories to them running to one another.
