However it's also been implied Yagoo long-time worried about 5th Gen due to Aloe's graduation, being a bit nervous about how they'd handle the case and if they'd be targeted by Aloe's Antis instead after Aloe was gone. idk if it was Lamy or Polka who once mentioned that Yagoo treats the entire 5th Generation like that. It's another way to say you're the head of something. Zachou means "chairman" but unlike coco's "chairman" polka's used as "event chairman" and coco's is used as "group chairman" That's the best way that I can explain it. Japanese nuance is harder than english.
The technical translation is Chairman, but context can matter when looking at how its being used. Polka is using it here as she's the one running the event, while Pekora uses it as the head of Usada Construction. Either way, zachou is the one calling the shots.
Japanese call some leader rank title thing with "cho" or "sho" in the end. This rank system came from China. They're Chinese that migrated to Japan's archipelago after all. You can find many similarities between Japanese+Korean culture to Chinese culture. Even their traditional dress obviously from China. But they modify a bit and call it with different name. @@AlexGonzalez-ys9uc Okayu and Marine is pretty good when singing live yes. Watame plays around too much with her technique, which sometimes actually hampers her voices' stability. Shion is pretty good as much as I can recall but I didn't tune in to both Shion and Korone's singing stream to know so there's that. And sorry but Towa and Matsuri's voices gets really wonky at note fluctuations. The thing about Towa is that she always drags out syllables/words and doesn't push enough into maintaining the melody when singing, while Matsuri almost always sing off-key or simply flat out miss the note half way through a song. They have good voices, but not that good skill-wise. I'd say Suisei have better voice control, much more so than both of them, and Kanata is just on another league.
Polka is right, sometimes i got a relly bad day, and at the end of that day, i watch hololive, just by watching for 2-3 hours always makes you forget about the bad things that happened that day

To be completely honest, I watch Gen 5 the least compared to other generations but... for some reason, I have this soft spot for Polka. Her character just resonates within me. Maybe I'm just self-projecting but out of all the holomems, my personality is closer to Polka than anyone. She's very fun, energetic, chaotic and loud but she also thinks about a lot of stuff, can get a bit morbid in her dreams and thoughts, loves literature and has quiet moments of rest. So when I listened to this song sung by someone who I see myself in, I couldn't help but cry. I aspire to be like her too.

It's another way to say you're the head of something. Zachou means "chairman" but unlike coco's "chairman" polka's used as "event chairman" and coco's is used as "group chairman"
That's the best way that I can explain it. Japanese nuance is harder than english.

The technical translation is Chairman, but context can matter when looking at how its being used. Polka is using it here as she's the one running the event, while Pekora uses it as the head of Usada Construction.
Either way, zachou is the one calling the shots.
Japanese call some leader rank title thing with "cho" or "sho" in the end. This rank system came from China. They're Chinese that migrated to Japan's archipelago after all. You can find many similarities between Japanese+Korean culture to Chinese culture. Even their traditional dress obviously from China. But they modify a bit and call it with different name. In Japan it is yukata and kimono. In Korea it is hanbok.
If we translate it literally in English, it maybe will be like.. "first leader", "big leader", "junior leader", etc.
Unlike Western leader rank title that has their own name. Captain, lieutenant, etc.
For overseas, the simple way is.. forget about the words before "chou". If someone called as "x-chou", that means he/she somekind of a leader of a group. And in this case, Polka is a circus girl. That means.. in English, she is like.. an owner of a circus company.
The kanji literally means
座 = Chair
長 = Leader,
although here it means more of a leader of an event.

@@AlexGonzalez-ys9uc Okayu and Marine is pretty good when singing live yes. Watame plays around too much with her technique, which sometimes actually hampers her voices' stability. Shion is pretty good as much as I can recall but I didn't tune in to both Shion and Korone's singing stream to know so there's that. And sorry but Towa and Matsuri's voices gets really wonky at note fluctuations. The thing about Towa is that she always drags out syllables/words and doesn't push enough into maintaining the melody when singing, while Matsuri almost always sing off-key or simply flat out miss the note half way through a song. They have good voices, but not that good skill-wise. I'd say Suisei have better voice control, much more so than both of them, and Kanata is just on another league.

To be completely honest, I watch Gen 5 the least compared to other generations but... for some reason, I have this soft spot for Polka. Her character just resonates within me. Maybe I'm just self-projecting but out of all the holomems, my personality is closer to Polka than anyone. She's very fun, energetic, chaotic and loud but she also thinks about a lot of stuff, can get a bit morbid in her dreams and thoughts, loves literature and has quiet moments of rest. So when I listened to this song sung by someone who I see myself in, I couldn't help but cry. I aspire to be like her too.

.singing this Live is very tiring especially when Polka is also moving... singing while moving/dancing needs a lot of stamina training
