hi, do u think i can play the game on my comp?? i have: 0,99 GB Ram 2,53 GhZ, and im going to buy a nvidia in 6800 series? wodd the game work for me , om medium settings, or low atleast???
rite could you please help me with this because ur advice seems good. i have got a 1.86 dual core with 1gb ram and geforce 7300fx and i have hdr on, and most of the settings are up full but the average fps is 10-15 and goes lower whenever i am fighting, i want to know what i can do to improve the eye candy with a good fps!
You don't need 800MHz RAM to run Oblivion smoothly. RAM speed has very little to do with performance and "stutter," and older PC3200 (400MHz) RAM won't cause any problems if the rest of the system is up to scratch. Amount of RAM makes a much bigger difference, and although 1GB is barely acceptable, I'd aim for 2GB.
Thanks, i got the x1900 from my m8, he only used it for a few months perfect condition so i got it for 100 quid I've tried overclocking my cpu but it shuts down or freezes if i put it up by a 100 mhz
lol no way is that max, i played max on my old vid card (x1950xt) and it got 25-30 fps. Ultra high is NOT max, enable grass shadows, view everything furthest distance, etc. then try it :D
No I'm not wrong. "Read up about RAM and you will find that anything below 800mhz causes stutter at some points in the game" You just made that up, it isn't written anywhere. I've done my reading, have you? I've actually tested it as well. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
Sir I know this game is old, and yes it has bugs, and I know this comment is old as fuck. but bethesda has been making high quality and revolutionary games since the mid 90's and guess what treyarch and infinity ward make... mediocore games, repetitive, mediocre games. BOOM.
Ahh, someday I'll have a video card that can do this wonderful stuff! :-)
aah, oblivion
why... when the dx10 games start comming out there will most likly be a new series of cards seeing as how the 8series is just about at the end.
ok. but if i buy a little better video card ,like nvidia 7300 or soething, wold it work betther then ?? or must i have more ram :/

Yes ram speed has got everything to do with it. i have not tried on 667 but i know 533 it lags. 667 must be what speed it needs

cool my 8800gt runs it smooth all the time, i used to have x1950 xtx in crossfire and that ran it smooth also
I would call highly unlikely ;)
@oc5nsli341nforce4 for sure
call it*
Thank you, very nice ;)
my specs are:
AMD 64 x2 5600+
Sap. x1950xt (512mb version)
2Gb DDR2 667mhz Ram
520 Watt
Would it work on that?
Pick up that Nirnroot! XD
