Very lovely conversation. I can relate to a lot of things about Mami Deb's experience.
1. My husband is also the kind of person who can have one cloth for 10 years and doesn't care about looking rich or not. If we are to judge by first impressions, we would miss out.
2. My husband also found it interesting that people in Uganda give him so much attention and privilege. Over here, he's just an ordinary guy.
3. He insisted that he didn't want the big mikolo where he couldn't even recognise 90% of the people at his own wedding. Since I also don't like them that much, we kept everything low key and scientific but he didn't mind paying the bride price. Luckily it was also during Covid.
The challenges for me were;
1. The long distance before we got married. We visited each other several times but it was stressful and painful.
2. Language barrier. My husband speaks perfect english but some of his family, friends, neighbours etc dont. So i had a lot of learning to do and german is a really hard language.
3. Obviously from the beginning there were some people telling him that African girls are after money and a free ticket to Europe. 6 years down the road and we are still going strong.
4. He doesn't like the typical Ugandan food that much and i also don't like some of their food. So i struggle with mealplans sometimes.
5. Ooh i also hate the fact that we can't have a live-in maid to help with the housework. So Uganda is definitely on the list of retirement options.
6. One of our initial challenges was the black tax thing as well. Sending money home to distant relatives, neighbours, friends etc. For things like weddings, funerals, school fees, building contributions eeeeh..... somehow i can understand because he has a small circle of relatives and friends who have never needed financial assistance from him.
I can go on and on but let me end here. Thanks for this very relatable conversation. It was fun to watch
I am in a similar situation. We have been dating for 3 years but now we are to make it official. Mama i had to explain to my German Fiance dowery😢😂. But he has now come to terms with it. Wedding i also dont like big things so we are just gona do scientific. Language when i visited was hard but now im learning Geramn. I hope when i relocate i can atleast speak. Dating him these past 3 years has been nothing but lessons. He is a very strict typical German guy😂. Took me sometime to learn 6pm is 6pm . A promise is a promise😂😂😂
I have watched like 3 shows where mami Deb told her story and it’s always been the same, the authenticity. I love her 😍she is such kind and free spirited person, not forgetting she is glowing and such a beauty ❤
Wow wow I loved the convo!! When Debbie is narrating u don’t want her to finish
Most ladies can never digest this but truth is that it's all about personality , a good man is a good man regardless of his colour nationality or tribe. We have seen our men do the unthinkable. A man will treat you bad even if you share beliefs and norms.
NB: It's all about personality.

Honestly, change is difficult and you have to go through the process. Glad to have you on the other side of embracing change.
@@manuelap.mulondo thanks Manuela and i don’t know if you ladies know how much you have impacted society, and i speak as a male who has learnt and unlearned alot of things from the show. Kudos for making me ready to be a good husband ☺️
@@alberttravis256am new here and your message Albert shows it is worth exploring this platform. If a man is so invested then as a woman I must have been missing alot
Oh are the Pumlas’ returning or i better get used to the new crew?

I am in an interracial marriage, first marriage so i dont know what it feels to be married to any other. The best thing that ever happened to me, it was learning eachother the first few years and 16 uears later we're still blossoming
I am in an interracial relationship. Im ugandan his German. I am glad we have taken our time to date (3 years now) there are so many things ive learnt that i dont know how i would have handled them if we married straight away

Oooh gosh! I am going to miss listening to and watching Pumla😢. But at least my other favorite Manuela is still on.
Barabra, that hair is so becoming on u...bellissimo!
U also bear a resemblance to the Were sisters.
Why do we see people of another skin shade as being of another race? There is only one race - the human race. There are huge implications to seeing humans as being of varied races.
Lovely guest ♡♡♡
I’m the first today 🎉
This story was full of vibe
Keep going Mimi.Keep going bump love.well done
Eh but its like money money money is all that Mami deb romanticises.
She tries to make it look sweet but in actual sense the conversation is about money.
Sorry if it sounds mean but that's just my observation
Love love Mami Deb ❤
This ended so first😢😢..was it the same duration like other shows from Bump Love???😂😂
Interracial was always my dream
❤does Micheal have a bro or friend who is like him, that's so good
Beautiful storyline with Deb
This is now the Bampu love that gives to watch the next episode😂
What happened to the old Bump lav team? I miss them
Interesting today.
Bev the happiness you love love stories 😂😂
@@Nambozobev You are such a joy to watch with your natural beauty.
And everybody say Amen
Kale you guys gave us a short podcast😮😮 but coz of Beverly's smile, I've forgiven you.. 😂
WoW thank you for serving
i thought the purple dress had bump love printed on it
Please bring her back 😢😢😢
Me also have that bra from Victoria secrets always black
Am tired of interviews, let's feel the sense of touch, seeing new things, experience, places among other things
Beautiful episode but let me come for the rigid people in this comment section. We were all prepared for the transition naye mama the hate... The people here are not the former people and so cannot be them... Learn to see people for who they are and not in comparison to other people.. also give the visionary a break banaye many of you hating have not even pioneered a cloth shop and you are attacking a global visionary??? Like make it make sense... Speaking for the real ones... For us we appreciate the content and the diversity... Keep it up Mrs Mulondo. You are loved and appreciated!!!
Thank you thank you. Mrs Mulondo wama we are rallying behind you cheering you on
True, imagine if she had decided that let bump love end when the former hosts left,At least she didn't .
Thank you so much Manuela for keeping on.
I appreciate.
I relate with comfortable bra
I feel like I'm getting a bit of Rachel and Rosett in Beverly ❤❤❤
I love you good heart Mami Deb
What happened to original hosts
Dis is da comfortable mama Deb I wd love to listen too all time, she has really given us fully details ✨️ and da story is interesting ❤, thanks for hosting her
I am being a negative here but she just sounds like she mastered the sweet talking but it's about money it's not Michael as a person like because he can provide enough money this lady has even forgot. I just don't believe this story that's how I feel.
Ever wondered what it's like to be in an interracial relationship?
Mami Deb is on the show today to tell it all.
What we've heard today is that;
1. Love isn't about race or money
2. There's someone out there for everyone.
