Hi Cindy, in an earlier video you mentioned age not being a negative factor in language learning. I thought to let you know that I am 64 years old & managing to learn the language quite rapidly. Many thanks for your marvellous video lessons. They really are well thought out & informative & to the point.
Thank you very much for your kind words! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. Many articles focus on age as a barrier to language learning. I believe the strength of one's motivation has far more baring upon how fluent the learner will eventually become, than the age at which they start learning. I know plenty of French people who started learning English at the age of 12 and after years of study, couldn't hold basic conversations (and still can't). On the other hand, a motivated adult could achieve complete fluency in that same amount of time, if not less. I'm sure you'll do great! 🙂
Ok. I've seen a lot of French tutorial channels, and this is the BEST by far. Thank you for you help! You are very clear and professional. I'm studying French in Canada for 4 months. I'll be reviewing your content a lot. Thanks again.
Cindy, thank you for being here. I took spanish and german long years ago. Always wanted to learn french. Your face is lovely, so enjoyable to look at.
Great illustration! I came here because I was a bit confused in another video when the tutor introduced herself as: "Bounjour, c'est Mailys." Your first intro (C'est your name) clarified this for me and now I have a better understanding. Merci!
I really love your videos!! you make everything easier!! I enjoy the way you teach, I appreciate that you say what it means literally so that I understand more, that's the way I learnt English, well still learning it Thank You!!
I am French, and your question is still challenging to me because first of all "professeur" which means "teacher" in French has no feminine "counterpart", and second of all, I don't really know how to say "gorgeous" in French, except by saying "très jolie" or "très belle" or "superbe" or "splendide" although I wouldn't use "splendide" personally, and if we are talking about a guy, we would say: "Il est beau comme un Dieu!" So here it goes: "Elle est superbe, ce professeur!" or "Elle est très belle, ce professeur!" Anybody, correct me if I am wrong! :-)
moi c'est moose, I play games and learning different languages to communicate better with people from of different languages.. I speak English and Afrikaans. Thanks for the videos I'm newly subscribed
Arthur Clay "Moi c'est" can be used when you introduce yourself to your co-workers or to a somebody that will become your friend etc.. But you can't use it if you introduce yourself while searching a job (for example) cuz this is too familiar.
Salut, Cindy! I just looking for the perfect learning way for French and I am glad I met this channel :) it's so helpful and I can understand it easily, thanks to you, I hope you're always doing good💞
Amazing.. Youre helping me a lot.. By the pronunciation is still killing me out.. Can you help me.. Recommend something so that the pronunciation becomes friendly to me
Listen to as much French as possible (think podcasts, cartoons - even kids ones! -, films, radio ...) and practise out loud as much as you can, even if you're by yourself and feel silly doing so! It will come eventually. But don't be too hard on yourself, the most important part is to get to a point where you can be understood, any progress beyond that is a bonus but by no means necessary 🙂
Hi! Ok so since Je suis means I am, can you use Je suis for saying I am at the movies or I am at school? By the way I love your videos, they help me a lot. I speak 2 languages and I wanted to learn french for a long time! So thank you.
Does "Je" (as a pronoun alone) sound the same as "J'ai"? I've noticed that there are a lot of words that sound the same or extremely similar in french haha. I must be careful with that. Btw, thank you SO MUCH for your videos. I'll watch as much as I can this summer
Thank you very much for your kind words! :) Je and j'ai sound slightly different. The 'e' in je sounds similar to the 'a' in the English word abroad. 'ai' in j'ai on the other hand sounds like 'ai' in the English word 'said'. Hope this helps :)

hi whats the main difference between Merci bien and Un grand merci à?
Sreejith S "Un grand merci à" means "A great thanks to" and "Merci bien" is like "Merci" so "Thank you".
Sreejith S. Guys will always be guys
I have learnt a certain thing from u good way of teaching thanks a lot

Wow..no textbook ever gives 'moi c'est,' and yet this sounds the easiest and most colloquial, n'est-ce pas?

@@Frencheezi thank you.ありがとうございました。 😇.. Your reply seems very motivating.
Hi! Ok so since Je suis means I am, can you use Je suis for saying I am at the movies or I am at school?
By the way I love your videos, they help me a lot.
I speak 2 languages and I wanted to learn french for a long time! So thank you.
Yes you would use 'je suis' in both those instances :)
good

No, it doesn't; "Je" sounds like "Zhuh", not "Zheh". Note: "Zhuh" and "Zheh" are just pronunciation approximations, of course.
i love your voice 💋💋❤️👌👌
