I used to race karts in 1990 to 1999 and then the track closed down which really bummed me out. But one thing I don't miss was the rule changes that came at the end that really jumped the cost of racing. When I had to quit a Briggs carb that was exceptional on the flow bench and rare was being sold for 500 dollars in stock class. Then there was also the cams and springs that people starting using with controlled valve float to get more rpm and power only to shorten the life of the engine and crack the valve spring box on the motor. Glad to hear they smarted up with the engines.
I obviously won't be using it to perform in any specific racing bracket just a fun little thing to zip around on the track with I'm sure it's getting close to 30 or 40 years old now as well
Where can I buy or have these small engines available to me and different kinds(vtwins, thumpers)? I'm starting to build drag bikes, go karts and other projects and I need a good website with diff. Small engine racing products
@@vaughan9238 Yes! Was being a turtle Not as bad as the driver who had the front left of new kart on 1st race with it😞 Felt bad for driver even though they hit me with a kart the year before! Spun in a rain race. I started walking backwards and forgot to factor in rain tires and full brakes mean nothing on wet grass! Thankfully that only hurt for 3 days. Off shortly for my retirement ride . Had to quit for reasons beyond my control it's been my life for last 15 years.😞Now what to do?????

Sadly I managed to destroy a new engine in less than 5 laps. A race family donated a older engine and that one ran fine!
did you "break it in" by running it slow and only going up to 4500 rpm for 20 laps, if not than do that next time

Na, the LO206 and Animals are made here in the United States. That why they cost so much more than the clones.
