I would say don't put your hopes too high in finding the right woman in Colombia. Colombia is a great place to enjoy nature, immerse in latino culture, eat healthy and take advantage of cheaper standard of living. I agree with everything you said. After spending the last 11 months in Colombia I've finally giving up on dating they are dumber than a box of rocks. I must have dated 25 different girls and each and every one of them was asking for money telling me all there problems. Dating was actually so annoying in Colombia.
Here's my personal experience with Medellin Colombia. I moved there Aug 2023 til Jan 2024. I'm not a "passport bro" but a man with a passport. I didn't come chasing DRUGS, SEX & ALCOHOL. As a mature, well established and financially secure man I was looking for a mature, intelligent, quality women with morals, values and principles. HOWEVER, I found it impossible to find these types of women. And the issue is to find a women worth my last name in Medellin is like digging through a 500 gallon septic tank looking for a diamond. I even PAID Foreign Affairs a "matchmaking agency" to find me a qualified, quality women to no avail. The women using the agencies wasn't veted enough and were also low quality hanging fruit. Not to mention I never felt safe in Medellin the place is a cesspool full of heartless,soulless thieves who will murder you for 2 pesos. Again this is just one mans experience. I'm done with Medellin all of Colombia. Just not to my standards.

As I do here in the USA, I plan to do there in Colombia: I focus my dating/relationships with pretty, professional women (dentists, project managers, university professors, etc). I don’t want to waste my time, money or emotional energy on a low quality woman. I typically meet professional women at professional events or at their places of work/business.

So you see what is left for the foriegner. Besides myself other have run across women here that barely have a grade school education and others either have never went to school or barely have a 5th grade education. There are no mandatory laws here for childrens education.
