I am interested to see the difference (if any) in the growth of the plants as they grow. I always enjoy seeing what you are doing in your garden. I garden in the Canadian prairies.
I may have missed it but did you put any holes in your buckets? I would love to see what they look like when they have fruits on them. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
Nice videos, I am doing dwarf firebird sweet, dwarf mint streak, big green dwarf, choclate lightning, banksia queen, dwarf confetti,,,do you have favorites? How do these produce for you? TY for your time
Thank you for sharing the vedio l wish to plant 5he hairloom chrry tomatos, and the dwarf varieties,,but good quality seeds are not available here,l am from kerala, which is the best planting,in buckets,or in ground, waiting for the results, thank you
Depends. Are the lasagna beds still decomposing? If there's a lot of non-composted material, your plants won't do well. Other than that, if the light, temps and moisture are right, I don't see why you couldn't get a great harvest
Can you recommend a variety or two that will grow in Michigan. I'm looking for something in the Dwarf Tomato Project, prefer indeterminate, somewhere under 5-6 feet tall. I live in a condo, so they will grown (hopefully) in buckets, in my sunny front yard. I don't want them to be too obvious, so I'll place within my permanent evergreens. I don't like the small tomatoes, prefer medium to large without a hard core. Input, recommendations? Thanks! 🍅🍅🍅🍅
@@demetriuspowell29 I have the seeds from the butch T and jalapeno cross. Haven't planted them. The hot pepper banana cross wasn't a cross mistake as it turned out, it was just a mutant.

Thanks. There will be difference of course due to the different varieties.

I did put holes in them and the videos I did after this one shows the fruit
what happens if you keep seeds from a dwarf tomato can you grow them will they look the same?
If they came from the official dwarf tomato project then they will grow true to seed and every generation will look the same.

@@paragoon1230 Yes, that one will produce true as it has been stabilized by Craig H from the DTP.
I will be interested to see your results. I have several house tomato plants growing in different conditions some vertical.

Most of the dwarfs have done very well for me. I think my 3 favorites so far have been Tasmanian chocolate, Dwarf Scarlett heart and Iditarod red.

If I just cast a bunch of heirloom dwarf seeds into rich lasagne beds, would I likely get enough germination to get them to healthy and strong?

I liked dwarf jade beauty and Loxton Lass

www.victoryseeds.com/tomato_dwarf-jade-beauty.html
I'm trying that with 18 gallon totes but with two plants per tote. Only have room for 2 totes though.
If they are dwarfs, that should work
Pardon my ignorance but what are totes?
Thanks for sharing, but do you prune the suckers from these dwarf tomatoes?
I do not. Most of the varieties are determinate so single stemming is unnecessary
Have a few dwarf Tomato seeds to sell? I'd like to try them
I will this summer
Are you hand watering or a drip system? How often?
Hand watering every other day.
Grow Your Heirlooms Thanks
I love the idea of the plants and I have faith in them but disappointed my first choice was a Brandyfred. Pretty underwhelmed
Did you create this variety?
No, I didn't. They are from the Dwarf Tomato Project Online
@@Growyourheirlooms cool how did your pepper cross you made several years ago turn out?

@@Growyourheirlooms I hope you saved the seeds
@@Growyourheirlooms if you save the mutant seeds will they breed true?
Are these tomatoes indeterminate?
Some of them are

Ah man you woffle a lot. But I just wanna know how you get on.
If I only knew what "woffle" meant
