Glad it helped Wes, mine were like that the first time I opened up the access cover. Luckily it's an easy fix. Hope you have a great holiday, Joe and Lea.
Awesome set of videos. Thanks for the tips. Just curious, when lubricating the lifting arms, you went out of your way to keep the silicone off the canvas. But when lubricating the zippers, you weren't worried about getting some on the canvas. What is your overall conclusion of getting the silicone on the canvas?
Hi Jim, glad you enjoyed the video. Good spotting on the silicon spray, I'm on the fence wether it affects the canvas outside, my only concern was the waterproofing so I just played it safe with the ply shield. It really doesn't stain the canvass inside. Next time I do a canvas clean and I'll see what the spray does to the waterproofing before I start. My guess is it'll be ok. Safe travels and best wishes, Joe and Lea
Hi Daniel, it's aftermarket and I installed it myself. I have a 160W Adventure Kings solar panel and Kickass MPPT controller onto a 120AH AGM battery , as we're mainly charging devices and running lights we don't need much more. Something like this is a good low cost solution: www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/160w-fixed-panel-mppt-12m-lead-kit.html I used the glue on mounts like this (get the black ones they last a lot longer) to hold them onto the roof: www.ebay.com.au/itm/385744907319?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=FErOd1P3Tri&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=Ymg5UDFjTKa&var=653527082240&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY and used Sikaflex 252 to glue them on. I hope that helps, Joe and Lea
Just did a quick check of cables.
So lucky I checked. They were twisted badly. This video saved me a bad start to a holiday. Thanks so much!

Rubbing candle wax on the zips is a bit more labour intensive, but works well too.
Thanks for the tip Jack, I have heard of it but never tried it myself. I'll have a go next time the camper is up. Thanks for watching, Joe and Lea.

We have a 2001 hawk outback, how does your solar setup work? Is it factory or aftermarket?
