Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 6 years and still counting. Around 1995 or so I spent a year micro dosing psilocybin mushrooms. Not enough to get blasted but enough to lightly feel its effects and still maintain my daily routine. I do wish I had kept notes about the changes I experienced but they were all good at a micro dosing volume. It resolved some depression issues I had been wrestling with, it ended my dependence on alcohol and other drugs in order to face the day. It changed my entire outlook on life and the world around me and the results stuck with me when I finally stopped dosing. No withdrawals, no cravings I just stopped doing it one day because I felt my journey had run its course. I think that more people could benefit from this but legality probably stops them along with all the horror stories. I am not saying to go do it, but if you do and you keep it at a micro level you may see more positive change than you expect.

    I have MS, a neuro degenerative disease, that destroys myelin on the nerve pathways in the brain. My neuro doc told me to drink more caffeine, to help stave off "sundown" syndrome, where my brain slows down over the day, making the symptoms worse by late afternoon. It works. • @gurglejug627
      @gurglejug627 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @HeyKay That's a rather selfish and ignorant comment which could lead people to suffer: whilst I wouldn't argue that many, maybe most, people can be helped / encouraged in life by the use of clean/natural psychedelics, there is a percentage of people who 'never come back' and who wonder about spouting nonsense, have complexes, schizophrenia like signs and symptoms and so on which come under the broad umbrella of psychosis: It's very a high risk game in that sense. Problematic results seem to exacerbated by 'poor' set and setting when taking them, but it's hard to define all the parameters. Strong psycho active substances were 'always' taken under supervision of a 'spiritual guide', shaman, whatever they were called in each culture:- Which seems wise enough.
      I suggest you spend enough time amongst users/abusers to see a big enough sample size to have a realistic understanding/data set to form a proper opinion on this.
      But I can totally agree that they are never addictive, neither psychologically nor physically- I can't think of a single observation that could lead me to think so for a moment.

      100%, remember we have statistics, he said in the video LITERALLY that modafinil has no "serious side effects".. yet this is what the FDA found.
      "From 1999 to November 2019, the FDA received 9,916 combined reports of adverse events for brand name Provigil and Nuvigil as well as their generics, modafinil and armodafinil. Of those, 4,291 were serious, including 384 deaths."
      Than there are even other ones that have bought it illegally, the numbers are way higher world wide..those are just the people that took got it prescribed.

I found out about micro dosing and it has been the most amazing thing I have had in my life. I'm using psilocybin, lions main, ginko biloba, and several amino acids and not only has my ability to figure puzzles out come back it's improved plus I have ptsd well I had it but it isn't a problem anymore and my anxiety has dramatically decreased, my memory has improved. Also in researching psilocybin I found out its not possible to get addicted to it because of how it works and it doesn't mess with vital organs so you aren't at risk of overdose. Really the most dangerous thing about it is that it helps you think and understand things better and we can't be thinking independently.

I was prescribed the provigil specifically for balance and cognitive impairment. Almost 20yrs later I've been on this nootropic I go 6 days on 1 day off without burnout. Psilocybin is very much an interesting drug, many say it opens doorways in your mind. Two things I experienced while on it.
    I could access memories of events that happened in the distant past of my life, things that I had long forgotten about, it was astounding ! And, to my surprise, and my brother who was watching me, I stood in front of a full length mirror and I could access facial muscles that I never knew I had ! After about ten minutes of this, I had completely changed the actual shape of my forehead and eye lids, my brother was freaking out more than I was. All this is really not that surprising, because it gets neurons firing that are otherwise dormant, so yes, interesting things can happen with certain drugs. To me, Psilocybin was a very very interesting drug, because it allows the mind to operate in ways that are normally not available, the exploration of the self with this stuff was absolutely fascinating !

L-Carnitine is absolutely safe to consume daily, your body also produces some which are mostly in your heart. It helps to keep your heart healthy and also to using fat as energy instead of muscle. Tartrate is best for pre-workout supply (20-25 mins before workout) and Acetate boost cognitive functions. Since it's full natural like Vitamin C and safe to consume (your body use max. 4 g/day, all above leave your body like for example B vitamins) these are my BFFs. 16:00 Rhodiola doesn't promote the synthesis of neurotransmitters (monoamines). It inhibits the oxidase that catalyzes their breakdown. It is a MAOI of both MAO-A and B, the former being the one responsible for breaking down serotonin, dopamine and epinephrine. You're messing with one of the processes in your brain (and other parts of your body) responsible for keeping neurotransmitters in balance. This won't be life-threatening for everyone, but people should absolutely be talking to their doctor before taking it. Especially if they are taking any prescribed medication or other supplements.

Not saying either of you is lying, just that it is very hard to really know without some heavy independent testing. A lot of the time it is just thinking it is working, leading to us spending more time studying new things, finding new hobbies, etc which lead to natural increases in neural capabilities, and we point to the nootropic rather than what we have been doing since taking them.

      Yes, it's one of the only commonly used substances that actually has compelling evidence suggesting cognitive enhancement in healthy individuals. Nicotinic acetycholine receptors, specifically a7 and a4b2 play a significant role in modulating focus and executive function.
      Not a nootropic by the original definition though.

      Ive done studies on nic and it like all things has benefits and negatives althought i will agree the added chemicals pair chemically with nicotince to make it more addictive anr those chemicals also are worse then nicotine @astralascendance

    I have hyperthymesia. I was diagnosed by a neurologist at age 48. I remember back as far as age 5 and a bit before. I remember almost all of it. I have a lot more than normal communication between my frontal lobe and hippocampus I am told. I also have Autism and ADHD also diagnosed by the neurologist. My brain is fast and I read fast and even talk fast. I used to be full of anxiety and went through depression. I also suffered from PTSD. I am very sensitive to stimulation of all kinds and I have very sharp senses. Still do not need glasses at age 53. My stress and anxiety are in the past today. I gave my heart to Jesus and he actually took my anxiety away. He also saved my marriage and my wife and I live like honeymooners today. 33 years married. Love is patient and kind and keeps no record of wrongs. As far as drugs I tried most of them earlier in life. I tried to self medicate in too many ways and was left empty. I was also set free from alcoholism and the craving and compulsion to drink was taken from me just like that. I can only call it supernatural. Nothing else worked but prayer for me and faith in that prayer.

    Correction to the assertion at ~5:00, people don't just "mess with" various herbs etc. to "get an edge over their peers." There are dozens of reasons people take nutritional steps to protect their brain health, such as preventing dementia, alleviate the cognitve impact of hormonal decline, or managing neurodivergent symptoms such as ADHD. Before neurodivergence was even recognized it can be reasonably assumed this is the ONLY way it was ever managed.

    I love your content, but I am a little saddened by the widespread use of AI generated thumbnails. My eyes glaze past them because they all look the same and soulless. There are a lot of amazing graphic designers and artists out there who make interesting thumbnails. I wish more youtubers would invest in them!
