    I don't understand. I thought that for cytology the simple has to be of a fixed area and volume to count the number of cells in that test quantity?

    I would use a small spray bottle with a fine mist to wash off the excess stain on the slides since the cells can be washed off easily if not careful.

    From those 3 containers, without replenishing the dip/diff quick media, how many slides can one make before having to discard & replace it?

      There is actually a safe way to do it: put the cap on the table, with the opening pointing to the hand that has the syringe, stop holding the cap (put the hand that had the cap behind your back if needed), then drive the needle into the cap only with the hand holding the syringe, as if you were trying to park it. Once the needle is inside the cap, you can use the other hand to finish "locking" it in. Since the needle is at no point pointing at your body this way, you won't stab yourself.

    I know it is an old video but do anybody knows what kind of microscope is enough to do cytology reading for breeding purpouse? To compare/ side to side it with progesterone tests.

    recapping a needle is a no no

    • @kiroshki
      @kiroshki 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why? Its safer to dispose it that way

    • @atmiles88
      @atmiles88 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      kiroshki After a needle is used, it should be discarded into a sharps container-NOT a trash bag or any other trash can not dedicated for sharps. Attempting to recap a needle is a safety hazard because you put yourself at high risk for sticking yourself. It’s best to just not try.

      Nah. Tha is debatable. Uncapped needles are a hazard too. Not every country has means to deal with that.

      @atmiles88 That's your opinion. Doesn't mean it's the right way to do it.
