This song fucking RIPS! Ryan's wife, Crystal, said on Twitter this track was about her and the blood clots / stroke she almost had early last year and is still going through the healing process. The whole situation was nuts.

This is probably one of my favorite tracks so far this year.... especially with the meaning behind the song it just hits deeper. His wife did have a stroke and nearly died. He said in an interview that this whole song is about his experiences and feelings during that.

I'm glad you brought up their live show. I've seen them a few times and their bassist always goes crazy. He actually broke his bass or speaker once when they opened for After the Burial because he was going so crazy all over the stage.

One of my favorite bands to see live. I miss seeing them and for today touring with each other. Such a heartfelt song man. Ryan’s such a killer dude, met him back in 2014. Glad to see them getting back to their heavier style.
Dan Gailey is the best thing that could have ever happened to FFAK. Some of my favorite riffs I've ever heard. The chorus is such a Phinehas feel and I LOVE IT.
I've listened to so many Fit For A King tracks over the years, and nothing every really grabbed me, but this one grabbed me hard. I'm officially on the FFAK train now. I've always thought Ryan was one of the sickest, most well-rounded vocalists in the scene (he's absolutely got one of the most solid high screams in metal, not to mention his ridiculous 20+ second lows) and Daniel Gailey is one of the best metalcore guitarists to ever live. So I'm beyond stoked to hear them letting Daniel spread his wings (no disrespect to Bobby Lynge - I've just been a Phinehas fan for a lot longer). I think these guys have finally got the perfect lineup. Plus, Ryan's lyrics and vocals are just hitting way harder than ever. Tuck's still swinging that bass around, being an absolute metalcore legend. I am very excited for this album.
This song kills me. I wish I could just rock out because it’s a banger… but when I first heard it my wife was very sick. And it resonated with me. Then I read into it and realized it was about his wife. This song was exactly what I was going through.
As I listened and watched the original video, as I was reading the lyrics, that shit made me well up a bit. It's such an impossible feeling to know what Ryan went through but you can hear it through his vocals. Such a powerful song

Brotherrrr. I've seen FFAK three times... twice in London, ON (met Wyatt Stav and Lindsay at one of the shows), and once in Toronto. Their LIVE shows are insaaaaaane. If you haven't been to a live show of theirs yet, 10/10 would recommend.
