Rhian’s enthusiasm is totally infectious and visionary. I am so excited for this league. There is so much talent coming through League 1 and USPORTS right now. I can’t wait to see which of our TSS Rovers will sign in this league. When I’ve spoken to people about the lack of a pro league because they’ve heard it’s on the horizon, and the reaction is “that’ll be nice“. But I try and point out if they can imagine what it would be like if men and women could both go to universities and become engineers, but only men would get jobs as engineers. That kind of drives home the massive inequity we’ve built in the game in Canada and why the NSL initiative is such an important correction of that inequity.
