A great review for a very interesting bit of kit. It is clear the manufacturer has taken time to produce a very polished and well thought out product. It's a bit pricey for the casual user but for a vlogger it would be well worth it.
Hi Gavin, thanks for this honest review. I do have a few (personal) remarks though after buying it. The lens and gimbal have no cover for protection and it seems not possible to transfer media directly to a computer if I'm correct. For the rest I really enjoy flying this tiny drone. In the past I owned a DJI mini and a DJI Mavic but this thing is so easy and handy.
Hi Gav. Great review mate although I won't be rushing out to buy one I must say that I was impressed with what that little drone can do. Enjoy your weekend
Hi Gav. Great review of this product, tbh I wont be rushing to get one because of the price and it only being 2.7k, I get what you said that 2.7k is generally good enough, but for me the quality of the video wasn't as good as a mini 2 with 2.7k. What i did like is the ability to record audio and have the prop noise cancelled out, that is something I would love on my mini 4, I know i can record audio on the RC2 but its not audio from where the drone is. Keep up the good work
Honestly I had so much fun using it, I was genuinely sceptical which is why it took me a while to agree but as I mentioned I will only review what I see value in or what I would buy myself I can honestly recommend it for exactly as you say, perfect for holidays
Would be great for half the price. I wouldn't be surprised if Hubsan, Fimi, mjx, zlrc or jjrc offers something similar for $150 in the very near future.
That little sucker is cool! The audio recording part was something I wasn’t expecting, too. It’s cool how it was synced up perfectly with the video, eh? Really cool product, Gavin
Thanks Gav, very clever little thing. Adds another dimension to selfie videos, I can see these becoming very popular like a point and shoot camera compared to a dslr for people who want that airborne video style but without the know how👍
@@GAVINHR yep, I’m probably going to buy one using the Black Friday discount code of 15%. According to the website it can also be used indoors which we could use in our warehouse retail outlet to make social media videos, it looks great fun. I’m just looking at TH-cam for other reviews and it seems that everyone loves it for what it is-fun! 🥳
Thank you for this review Gavin. I am seeing this device being used by real estate practitioners to showcase a property internally by just doing a walk through. Hope that it has some obstacle avoidance sensors
I was looking into these when I researched and found out that what you record on the device is not your intellectual property. The company who make them reserve all rights to your videos photos etc and can do as they please with them. Its in the terms and conditions for signing up to the app the own everything Forget that.
Tried a friends for a weekend-end. Great fun, but video quality, battery time and build quality does not match a price tag of 400+ usd. I Will personally watt for the X2.
Great review, I've had mine for about 6 weeks, love it for those quick easy shots. It perfectly compliments my mini 4 pro which takes great shots too but involves more baggage/effort which I don't always want
That’s it’s key strength, I genuinely took it with me to visit a zoo and was able to just whip it out my pocket, take some short videos on location and the entire process is done on 15 seconds! It would take longer to find the zip for my DJI bag it’s a perfect compliment to a main drone I agree 👍
The manufacturer sent me this for free to test however for full disclosure they also asked me what fees I charge for a review and I declined and said I would not take any fees just send me the product and I’ll post a video if I liked it. Honestly it’s amazing but to answer your question, yes it’s costing me a lot of money generally especially when DJI keep releasing so many products then you factor in the hours it takes to edit a video !

Seen a couple of reviews on this now, clever piece of kit. Cheers Gav.
Cheers Gavin! Great drone though it's quite pricey for me to complement another drone.
Perfect for people who dont want normal drones and just want them different shots.
Nice bit of kit👍
Surprisingly good! I was very curious about it but how good I found it was a bit of a shock
This looks very cool! I'd love to see you test this for car content.

Great review Gav, I'm in line with you on this one - I was equally surprised when using it, it a lot of fun and very easy to bring along
It genuinely supposed me how good it was and overall fun! Crazy just letting go of your drone and watching it fly off with no control though!!
question Gavin, when in orbit mode, and its going around you, will it still follow you if you walk along, resulting in a traveling pan around shot??
Your face says it all Gavin I love my X1 Hover makes me smile every time I take it out and fly.
Gavin, I was wondering when you were going to get your hands on one of those...
Really good fun ain’t they!
Would be great for half the price.

It really is pretty incredible

You probably summed the video up better than I did! Exactly 👍 I can’t lie it was better than I expected

Does it need an operators ID with the CAA?
Hi there, yes it will do 👍
Hi Gavin, can you point me to your one drive fly app back catalogue download page please. Cheers Rob

Bit late to the party on this one.
Took me a while to agree to review it :)

Im sure this drone was also marketed a few years ago, i seem to remember going to a launch but it never took off, pardon the punn ha ha ha .
Looking back I think they launched one around 6/7 years ago of similar nature, this is very refined though now and genuinely impressed me
all phones will fly withing 10 years.

Maybe this review paid your holiday but you pay as you lose respect and trust
Lose respect and trust for what? Liking a product? I wasn’t paid for this video so feel free to apologise:)
