Tik tok is probably the most influential social media rn or at least it’s arguable. “WNA” “Bent” “stranger” (the song on this video actually), etc were main stream trends. I’d argue it has even more hype than before because before you had better rappers but you didn’t have as many superstars as today. Back then you had kay flock, Dthang, edot, etc as superstars but today almost everyone has a name for themselves now.
I agree tho they aren’t dominating the main stream but NY drill was never really main stream. If anything it’s the closest to main stream than it ever was before. You got little kids from everywhere throwin up all types of signs and smokin people they don’t know which is obviously sad but yeah.
