My ol man drove truck for 45 years before he passed. He had 1 main rule. Never tell a man how to drive HIS truck. I heard it a million times. Thanks for the ride.
In driving school @ Washington-Holmes County Votech in Chipley, Florida 47 years ago, my instructor passed along some wisdom that stuck with me for the 30+ accident-free years I ran OTR (solo & team). - He said; "The day you park your rig & say that you didn't learn anything... is the day you should leave it parked & seek another occupation" - Some days driving was like playing Checkers & other days were more like playing Chess. - ALWAYS planning ahead... way WAY ahead, expecting & anticipating the unexpected. - Learned & followed the "Smith Driving System" early-on. Have a safe one... Steve / W5BIB
8:12 the reason people hate it is the guy that’s pulling into neutral and putting it back in to split a gear is the same guy who’s got a 5 foot tall shift lever, no air in the seat and no shoes on with neon lights everywhere
Good video that’s some tough truck in there. I’ve never hauled cattle, but I’ve put in some long trips Hauling apples out of Washington down into California log exempt and hauling power poles after big storms I know that sick feeling that you get all the way through your body lol I kind of met you at the southern Idaho Truck Show back in June wished I could’ve actually got to talk with you. I love to meet real people who enjoy what they do out here like myself. Keep up the good work. I’ll keep my eyes open for you on the road.
Good to See You doing So Well Jax! I knew it from Jump Street, You were Created for this. Proof is in the Puddin’as they Say. Catch you on the next one, keep it safe out there Sir
Great video jax 👍 I love I'll get it done no matter what !! Some times it takes that and very few have that in them you got that from roster 💯 safe travels 🙏
Now I know what all the crazy stuff that goes through my head sounds like if I said them out loud. With not only a freightliner but a freightliner with a Detroit!!! That’s trucking well done Sr!!
Hello from Miles City. Another great video. I remember back a few years ago hauling calves from Ekalaka to Cameron Oklahoma. We would leave that afternoon and deliver the next morning,. I am starting to like that lead truck , even though a Kenworth fan. Also I shift exactly the same way as you do. Stay safe.
Man you had me laughing so hard talking about the old boy in the bikini All right back to trucking That was classic man you had me laughing so hard I'm glad to see you all right you pushed hard and made it Get it driver
I’ve always been curious to know how truckers felt about me using the truck fuel lane. It’s a life saver when I’m pulling my 5th wheel or dump trailer to not have to find a spot to fit on a regular island. I also have a fuel card that saves me a bunch of money (sometimes close to a dollar a gallon) over using the regular pumps. I always follow the rules of fueling quickly and moving up if I have to run into the store. I sincerely don’t want to hold up people that are working for a living.
This place has a dedicated pickup and rv island around the corner so it always rubs me wrong on day 2 lol. But you gotta save where you can so I understand.
This guy knows his cattle & cattle hauling i live in the bluegrass region ky and because of the hi limestone content of the soil PH neutral which is what gives us the thoroughbred the bourbon whiskey and berley tobacco
0:00-0:17 The facial expression reminds me of the video when you and Diesel Dave in the cab over, 2 doors open and extreme heat from Death Valley to Cerro Gordo. You both had that look. 01:01 being you are very experienced in cattle hauling that most of the time trying to get some shut eye with a loaded trailer, and neither you nor Rob are the cause of the rocking motion I can see not getting good rest. 09:20 I glad I don't HAVE to use social media; You Tube is Social enough for me. 10:28 I'm sure you and other truckers passing through were glad it was before the event, the traffic, the drunks on their bikes, we're glad you didn't have that to deal with that expletive. 13:52 was way worse in Death Valley, this shot was still hot enough. 15:27 Trucker's see things 24/7 that most of us never will. You all have some stories to tell.16:19 enough for a "breaker 19 yodel" were you practicing? LMAO it was entertaining, thank you for the chuckle. 16:50 that was a crop dusting plane when they leave their airport, they have 1500 pounds of Pesticide, those pilots fly sunup to sundown. Lara Farms on YT did a video on those nasty fliers. You both did a fine job and thank you for taking us on your 2 part journey.
I loved that video of Jax and Diesel Dave in Death Valley! I live just over the mountain from Death Valley and we are ROASTING!! It has been an awful summer! Love your videos Jax! Keep on trucking!

I towed my 31’ airstream with my Cummins dually with over 110 lights & a CB on it hahaha with a cow guard and a camper shell with big mudflaps that say Dually Parton in stainless. From San Antone to Yucaipa CA 1286mi 22 hours one shot. Jumped into a convoy from Tucson to CA state line kept me wide awake too. Then last week ran from Branson to Tucumcari(690), the next day home through flagstaff and Blythe (900). Would that remotely qualify me for hauling bulls in the monfort lane?!
Omg 😳 A guy in bikini with boots … What a sight ….talk about burning out your eye ball retinas 😂 Great job team … made it safe and sound…All is well in the trucking world … Thanks for the tips and trip … rest well and stay safe … We will see you on the next one ❤
@@realwildwildwest Right, like a flying j/pilot. For sure. There are TONS of times where there is no diesel with the cars though, and you gotta do what you gotta do. Just gotta move when you are done fueling instead of locking up and going after a sodey water.
I know I've heard you talking about how bad it is to idle your truck for air at night, have you thought about getting an apu? I mean I'm sure you have lol, but you could atleast have some cool air during the summer months without running your truck
I drive hazmat B truck in upstate NY & last Friday inspection station lights flashing pulled in & got a level 1 inspection. All good no violations an hour later. Funny you say they were looking for something cuz they told me that they would have waved me through but were training someone for hazmat inspection so when they saw my placards it was my lucky day 😂
Highway 2 to GI! Don’t forget to wave at least one finger in direction of Ravenna as you go by. Half the population’s names end in cz, the other half in ski (Polish settlers) Used to be a huge cheese factory there, back in the day
Sounded like the motor carrier enforcement in SD was headed out in full force west river for sturgis, not sure why they are worried about trucks for motorcycle rally
I'm a Montana boy myself grew up in Dillon drove for Montana Express and Chuck Lumley just wondering if y'all let people come aboard to drive with y'all till they got their license I don't gotta cdl

Killer run! Never hauled livestock, but I have pulled those miracle runs out of the hip pocket once in a while to bail out a desperate dispatcher.
I use to not no moe
Hello there Jax. I'm late cause TH-cam didn't notify me. Yet again they dropped the ball. I hope you and the family are doing amazing. ✌️👍🙏🙏

Hammer down Jax. Stay safe out there. ✌️
I drove a European iveco here in the Netherlands and i needed to press the clutch in and out to set the splitter to low or high gear

Jax is tripping and quipping
What is really in that 100 ounce jug on his dash? Tripping juice? Well, it is not caffeine until dark thirty happens, we all heard that.
I walk into a scale house for an inspection wearing that fireball whiskey shirt my truck getting searched 100% 😂

Shiny side up Jax.
hey bub, if the place doesn't have diesel on the car pumps, i'm going into the rig lanes. especially if it is not super busy.
There’s a MASSIVE island right around the corner for trucks and rvs ..at least they didn’t park there and go inside 🤣

Hey you said your in the middle of no where. Where is that?
Figured I ask the dum questions too...lol..How you doing brother.
Springview Nebraska. 😁 doing great !
Hey Jax, how do you figure head per compartment for axle weight and cattle space.
Youve probably answered that before .
New subscriber
I have a formula I’ve come up with over the Years. Where I compare weight to how many feet are in a compartment
I know I've heard you talking about how bad it is to idle your truck for air at night, have you thought about getting an apu? I mean I'm sure you have lol, but you could atleast have some cool air during the summer months without running your truck
Longest I have done Feeders out of South Boston VA to Hays Kansas. I was a zombie after that ride! 1337 miles
That’s a haul!
Plenty of room, I'm just saying I would try it if I could I have bumped a few docks in my driving days.
Looocking rough -😂😂😅 but , just keep joking 👍👏

Rob needs a yt channel, we need more cattle haulers on yt
No TH-cam channel for me. I'm very boring ill stick with my appearances with jax
A couple of the gears in my 18 are still so tight, I have to pull the shifter out and back in or it clunks every time...
Just don’t post a video of it 😜, the super truckers will go crazy at you lol

Sweet
I’d say Washington cattle move slower because of all the cloudy rainy days have made them depressed 😂😂😂
That could be!!!
No way!! old man in a bikini.😳😳🤣🤣🤣
😆😂😂 i wasnt expecting that story of the old lady in the bikini to turn out like that 😂😂 never know what you will see out on the road man!!!
🤷🏼♂️
No cb?
I’m a Canadian cow hauler. I’m just looking for the edge.
What’s your rear gear ratio?
3:55s, and I can’t stress enough being light on the pedal. Like almost a full 5 seconds between shifts and never max boost.
Thought you was gonna sell that or did you get attached to it?
you see alot of weird stuff out there....for sure
You need to get your hands on a Florida load of cattle,
I would love to do the Florida run someday. I’ve heard it’s brutal. Maybe I’ll find a contact down there someday and try it out !
Any one remember M&I, and speedway out of Kansas City?
That chute sucks lol
It’s flat amazing what you see on the road. Old man in a bikini would be a first for me though! Lol.
The cows don’t need water on long trips.
Mental illness is a real problem, even in rural Nebraska🤔

😂😂 Did you get your bikini wearing friend to subscribe to the channel?? 😅
