Endless Dungeon is a successor (but not direct sequel) to Amplitude's brilliant and brilliantly weird Dungeon of the Endless. Part tower defense, part ARPG, and (because it is TYOOL 2022) part roguelite, it promises both that familiar Amplitude inventiveness and those lovely Endless universe vibes.

The waves do get harder, but the bugs also weren't attacking the science terminal before since it wasn't the cause of the wave. When you start a research, it becomes a valid target.

In Dungeon of the Endless it was mainly a question of monster types. Not sure if this is still a thing in Endless Dungeon or if the mechanic was changed and all monsters can/will do all attacks.

This looks interesting but I'm a bit disappointed that they seemingly removed the strategic component of "which rooms to light up and which to turn off".
It was a big part of the first game which would allow the tower defense portion really shine.

I agree. There's still dust to power unpowered rooms, but it's unclear to me how big of an impact those decisions have in this game. Would be interesting to hear SBs take on that.

Is there a bartender in the lobby area? I like the fancy Drakken barkeep on the loading screen but I am curious if he's just art or someone in the game as well. Also I just like seeing the Drakken again after Endless Legend.

This looks better than I expected. I am a huge fan of Dungeon of the Endless and am really looking forward to this one. I love how they kept the key elements of that game.
