*sighs* time to dedicate a month of my life to replaying the trilogy for the 100th time changing absolutely nothing with my dialogue or story choices.. simply being… “We’ll bang, okay?”
One of my favorite tiny lore bits is one of the planets you can land on and roam on in Mass Effect 1 casually drops that the planet is coated in a pollen that can induce anaphylactic shock nigh instantly in most council species, and that is such a terrifying concept that is basically a travel note for the Mass Effect races
Oh wow, I missed that one. Considering I'm a hayfever suffererer in real life, that's a terrifing prospect. I'd have to really pay attention to travel advisories like that in a Mass Effect universe.
What I loved about Vorcha the most is that while it appears from a pure military view they would be straight infantry and nothing else, it turns out one of the best fighters squadrons in the galaxy are piloted by the Vorcha.
Garrus' Father blocked his nomination to become a spectre from info in Andromeda does this mean if that didn't get blocked Garrus would be in Nihilus' position causing him to get potentially killed by Saren?
@@shubhamgupta4919 try to use mattock rifle with deformation rounds, also max out adrenaline, breezed through the game. Fun fact, waaay back when ME-3 first released I bought the official game-guide from game-stop. In it, it had an obscure tid-bit that I've never see anyone talk about. Apparently, if you keep a certain type of fish alive in the cabin fish tank from ME-2 to the end of ME-3, then it says something like "Liara has unique dialogue for shepard". Sounds like it was a fun little easter egg, but I never did attempt to do it back then and have no Idea if it works in the remastered editions. If anyone knows what that Liara scene was, I'd love to know
If you import a save from Mass Effect 2 with a live Prejek Paddlefish into Mass Effect 3, keep the Paddlefish alive through an entire Mass Effect 3 playthrough and import the character again, a special Intel Bonus from Liara's Quarters on the Normandy is made immediately available. The Prejek Paddlefish Bonus gives you a 10% bonus to either Weapon or Power Damage.
Me too, like the Raloi and the Virtual Aliens these are cool stories that could have been explored in further depth but weren't. I think primarily it worked well this way as there's cool shit happening where the player isn't too, which is what you want from a world building perspective. That being said I hope these things crop up in the future because it'd be cool to see it applied to the world-building.
#2 reminds me of how the ancient Vulcan renegades argued and agreed over local network forums, due to being separated on different generation ships in the early part of the diaspora that eventually begat...the Romulans. Diane Duane's Rihannsu novels are awesome, and even if you only have a limited grasp of Star Trek lore, you should still get a lot out of it.
Considering the Charon relay was dormant and encased in ice until humanity activated it in the 2100’s, I find #10 highly doubtful which is probably why it was cut. Otherwise that would mean that the council races were aware of humanity and made the choice to shut down the relay. That doesn’t sound like something they would ever do. If so wouldn’t they do something similar with the Yahg considering how badly first contact with them went?
Legendary edition was a very welcomed improvement, for me anyway. I wish they would have done the same with other trilogies. Or even more than just a remaster 😢😢but perhaps a little bit of extra content?
If you applied real world evolutionary principles to the Vorcha and Salarians, they should be evolving at a much faster rate when ever their environment demands it, since evolutionary changes can only occur each time reproduction happens, and since they do that at a faster rate, their evolution should also be faster, they would stabilise faster too, so it would appear that their rate is low if their environment is fairly stable over time, but if it changes, they would have a much higher chance of surviving than other species, because they could evolve quicker to the change.
I know that you can't say it's canon because Dragon Age and Mass Effect are both just from Bioware but I enjoy the idea that both play in the same universe. In Kasumi's DLC, yeah I know it's just a DLC but hear me out, you can find an ogre statue but also in Dragon Age: Inquisition you can find in Halamshiral a krogans head and the description was, iirc, something along the lines of someone having been on a hunt and finding a weird species, the krogan, so that guy killed the krogan and took his head as a trophy. So this would mean that long before our known history of mankind all these elves, dwarfs and qunari existed and idk I just think it's a fun thought that some krogan might have just gotten lost on earth and the first contact was with some magic medieval french man who instantly said to himself "imma put the head of that thing above my fireplace" anyway thank you for your great video!! I got a huge amount of respect for the vorcha after I got to their home planet and for once actually took the time to read the planet information during Mass Effect 3
it would be super cool if Dragon Age and Mass Effect were in the same universe, though it would take a long time to explain why magic isn't a thing anymore lol
Dose anyone else think dead space? As one of those games that was relatable, I think both series all had there own unique space experience for sure. But just space itself the games can all be in the same universe. If you will
So, you're telling me that Samara *MIGHT* have caused the hurricane that sunk the Spanish Treasure Fleet, leading to the direct fall of the Spanish Empire?? Makes me like her more
Well technically it's not canon as it's cut content but the speculation would have only suggested it was possible had it been left in, so maybe it still is?
Wow, so Samara may have actually influenced history and allowed British Empire to exist.
We definitely need more lore like that.
*sighs* time to dedicate a month of my life to replaying the trilogy for the 100th time changing absolutely nothing with my dialogue or story choices.. simply being…
“We’ll bang, okay?”
oh aye
Yeah, I feel that.
When will we get new mass effect videos?@@Fizhy
Vorcha are also used by companies for their adaptability to become extraordinarily skilled technicians.
I mean they aren’t stupid they just seem that they need a lil direction is all in certain places…they are a kinda new species aren’t they?

Isn't that the one where you meet the damn pyjaks that stole the data module? It made me hate pyjaks SO MUCH

Nah I think Garrus is significantly younger.
Garrus is around the same age as Shepard. I think he’s 2 years younger if I remember correctly
Replaying the trilogy and doing my first insanity run, this video couldn't have come at a better time!
Love that
Good luck! 2 can get real rough on insanity 😂
@@largegroupofmales thanks 😭 i played Tali's recruitment on hardcore and it was hell already
@@largegroupofmales That is the only reason why I haven't done a complete insanity run yet. 1 & 3 are doable, 2 not so much even with soldier class

Mass effect videos just go straight into the vein
That's exactly my thought process.
I'll give it to you, this is probably one of the first obscure lore videos I've seen on a game I know so well where the lore is actually obscure.
I did my best

@Alexander Gladkov dang, I've been wondering what that was for about 7 years. Thanks bro 😄
I really hope we learn more about the Lystheni in the future

Love your Mass Effect content! Would love to see some deep lore dives on specific groups like you did with RDR2.
Would love to do more of this for sure
The Manswell Expedition left Earth two years before Liara T'soni was born.
I thought I knew obscure stuff about Mass Effect, but holy hell this is good deep lore
#2 reminds me of how the ancient Vulcan renegades argued and agreed over local network forums, due to being separated on different generation ships in the early part of the diaspora that eventually begat...the Romulans.

I do like Star Trek albeit quite casually, I can see it has a lot of influence over Mass Effect's universe.
More Mass Effect Lore Please love this kind of content.
Shall do my best to slot some into the schedule.
@@Fizhy Thank You! And don't worry take your time I will wait as long as possible.
Oh my… there is no other universe that I want to fully immerse myself in again and again.
Feel that
I miss when these games were new and still coming out. It was a good and exciting franchise to be a part of.
Considering the Charon relay was dormant and encased in ice until humanity activated it in the 2100’s, I find #10 highly doubtful which is probably why it was cut. Always love to see more Mass Effect.
I always love diving into Mass Effect
1:40 so in essence they use light to look into the past? Hell yeah!
Legendary edition was a very welcomed improvement, for me anyway.
I wish they would have done the same with other trilogies.
Or even more than just a remaster 😢😢but perhaps a little bit of extra content?
Agreed
I love kasumi says “DAMN YOU HOCK” when learning he has lady liberty’s head. It just seems like a cheesy cartoon line.

The day just got a whole lot better. Here’s hoping you pump out more mass effect content 💪
Always happy to try!
That Samara part was probably cut because it kinda interferes with her teaching about the humans after she had to leave asari space

I get this video in my recommendations and now i must complete trilogy one more time(4th)
God i love Mordin he's gotta be my second favorite after Liara
There needs to be videos that tell 10 obscure facts for each squad member wether it’s lore or otherwise
Hell yea. Love your ME content.
Cheers!
Love your other content and seeing mass effect made me love it even more. great video
Cheers mate
I knew the blonde hair fact. That's why all my FemSheps have blonde hair. I want my Shepard to be as unique as possible.
The Asari remind me of the Kree in the marvel movies for some reason!
Asari: Embrace eternity!
Vorcha: NO MORE TALK! WE KNOW GAVORN'S TRICKS!
IIRC the Vorcha having such a short lifespan is mostly due to getting killed by others
They did us dirty having so much backstory for Samara to be interested in humans but not interested in a relationship
Man maybe the council should’ve used the vorcha like the krogan it sounds like they put up a real fight 😂
Samara as a cosmic Forrest Gump 😅
Maybe you can do the lore on thermal clips and heat sinks and what they are? Also loved the video
02:49
It's official. The C.U.M. Zone is cannon in Mass Effect
Dose anyone else think dead space? As one of those games that was relatable, I think both series all had there own unique space experience for sure. But just space itself the games can all be in the same universe. If you will
More mass effect stuff please, its awesome 👍🙂
The idea that the reapers technically hit a stalemate with the coecha is funny
Thought you might've also included the "monsters from the id" bit as well.
Very obscure. Thank you.
i absolutely loved this
Thanketh
I need a vorcha squadmate in mass effect 4
I never knew of the Lysthenei sub-species.
It’s theorized that Tazzik from the Mass Effecf comics is a Lystheni
I would love to see part 2
I shall bear that in mind.
Straight away fallout on an alien world.
4:44 that’s a lot of StStStStStsss
Vorcha: Exists
Viper Rifle: 😉
Great video sir thanks I love mass effect respect 🙏
What a pleasant surprise
About fact 2, might work if people were not drowned in misinformation and fear.
Aren’t the kiriks just a star wars référence ? That’s also the name of an insectoid ant-human specie in star wars (on alderaan in swtor)
Canada, the US and Mexico allied... The became the C.U.M. I can finally use this meme
5:04 im a dying bread😥
Samara visiting Earth in the past may explane why she shares name with a city in Russia
Ahoy
ahoy indeed
Oh my God. Are you telling me that in ME lore
Canada
United States and
Mexico have joined together to form the C. U. M Republic 🤣
Yes
Good video but its krogan DMZee not DMZed lol
but what do quarians smell like
Sweat lol
Yo wassup

Uplifting a semi intelligent race that have psychic powers? Naw screw that.

A world governed by twitter, i couldnt think of anything worse.
Right off the bat a strip club.
Lystheni are not canon
