I literally don’t understand anything. She’s telling me a whole story! I just want a simple straight forward definition.
U😮uut

I love your explanation. It is so clear and easy to understand. I can make notes while listening because you explain is so clearly. Your explanations are life savers literally!
Helpful! Love it. Explains everything so neatly. Easy to understand.
Please read the books, dont take this simple explanation for granted as there is alot of complexity involved
@@markuslundberg7457 marx really loves to show off his vocabulary and unfortunately not everyone is able to understand, so this is a good start
I love the illustration so detailed and well understood.
That managerial position they made just became the scapegoat of the two conflicting classes. Hahaha
The first explanation of conflict theory I understood, thanks!!
Yeah sure the way how you explain is very clear indeed though difficult to understand everything you said but it's quet clear
You should have used the sociological connotation of “minority” and “majority.”
The proletariat should be considered the minority, NOT the majority. This is because they are on the lower end of the power dynamic.
Thanks for explaining it simply and quickly. I'm studying and they keep saying 'conflict theory, conflict theory' and I have all these things that 'explain' what it means but I just want something quick and simple to tell me what it means in simple language. Thanks!
Anybody else feel like the middle class both lower and upper were strongest in the 90s with the flourishing of modern businesses and small businesses?? It just seems like everything is owned by the same few companies now that are
Ultra rich.
That’s because those times has created anti-monopoly and anti-trust laws that have lately been dismantled by the Republican Party.
Also, corporations have learned how to circumvent existing laws and becoming monopolies through loopholes.
Thankyou 🎉🎉🎉
CAN YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING! SINGING THE SONGS OF ANGRY MEN! IT IS THE MUSIC OF THE PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT BE SLAVES AGAIN!
Cultures, sub cultures, and assimulation. I also believe people tend to "know thier place"
Finally something that I can understand. Well done and thank you!!
Thank you very much... Good job!
Bouguasii, love when she says it, great video
bourgeoisie :)
sounds like a Italian food
Sounds very much like you're explaining how capitalism is in 21st century USA
Corporatism*. Not capitalism.
your explanation is simply the best.Thank u so much.
trust me I have suffered in my studies to understand maxism theory on society and u just did the help
thanks khan academy, love you so much
very helpful, thank you.
these are so helpful.
Really easy to understand. I love this!
i love the your board and your diagrams. what you use to make it if you don't mind telling?
Lovely video.
Very well-explained
I don’t think Marx could have ever anticipated globalism and how fungible human labour truly is.
capitalism and bourgeois still exist guys. why you are mentioning that like a thing from 19th century : )
ThNk god
Because they're talking about it from the perspective of Karl Marx, who designed this particular Social Conflict Theory.
Imagen reading a book from the 1930s and belive in it despite living in a modern world 90 years later.. wait.. Marxism.. eh.. maby we should follow Gustaf Kossinnas Kultural Archaeology too.
Would it be blasphemous to say she's better than Khan at explaining these concepts?
Not at all

the conflict role is conflict theory, isn't it?
bourgeoisie had this power over the proletariat or still have. I really don't think much has changed lady
+chris mokelky In America at least their are unions so you get paid fairly. In the late 19th and early 20th centaury you worked for eighteen hour a days and barely made enough to get by. The bourgeoisie still has more power but it's fair at this point in time.
+dare colbert imo this is hardly fair, there might have been a major shift in power over the last decades, taking the "middelclass-manager" in consideration. Hasn't this just formed a new elite? And are we not talking constantly over the expnading gap of wealth between poor and rich? I think society is evovling constantly and alongside to that natrual progress society is being pushed, pulled, manged, navigated etc. pp. into a certain direction, #neolibrism (?) by itself: a certain cultural habit, an acknowledged code of ethics, public eductaion, media, politics, and so on.
The "rich" still have the power, the set the rules, we have just a different point of view nowadays, since we believe in sayings like: hard work pays and the equality of chances. That's a lie that never has applied and never will because the foundation of that would be: All humans are equal. Impossible.
@@felixschmitt4837 in America it is possible to change classes. many other places in the world, you cant. My parents came to America and rented someones dining room floor to sleep on for several years. then they bought their own house. I was the first person to go college in my family. Today I have a six figure salary. I looked at what the market wanted. I didn't get a degree in music or art. You will always have a hierarchy in absolutely every faucet of life. if everyone was equal, then we would be looked for a way to set ourselves apart. the expanding gap between the poor and rich has many elements to it.
totally agree
Du Bois's name is pronounced Du-Boyce
sueannwashere also: Bourgeoisie is a pronounced boo-jwah-z.
Antithesis is also pronounced: an·ti·thuh·suhs; that drove me crazy the whole video.

What are the best ways to eradicate poverty , even the relative one please?
Communism
@@erinsalvador9301 Even communist country nowadays cannot eradicate relative poverty. How can we achieve this please?
Ma'am explain through political science perspective plz
I like the content and voice but this is not the style of a teacher. It's more like a youtube video thing. May be I am wrong but I am making this statement because I thought Khan Accademy is like an online lecture kind of a thing. I'm sorry if that's not th case. but for me the speaker should speak a little slower it allows the student to absorb the info that she's giving. This was the case in other videos too. thanks
u can slow the video itself
Nothing explained just some disney level comical explanation here look elsewhere
