Strymon is basically creating a studio for the masses. With a chain using their iridium/flint/compadre/deco, youll get some of the best recordings
I'm saving up for their "Talent" pedal.
@@loopie007 I'd pay big money for that too 😂
Great combo; I love throwing in compression before a boost/cleaner overdrive, because it allows for way less gain, as you both get the sustain from the compression, but also does a great job of adding the compression you’d get from an amp that’s breaking up. Plus it helps to avoid having a super loud boost. And this pedal really sounds great! Great demo as always.
The last 20 seconds with the expression pedal sold me on this, it should be the opener before the bass. What a clean, complete, compact front end- compression, boost, volume, midi- that last harmonic chord- you nailed it.
I always enjoy it when you play some Radiohead.
God damn I love it when he plays Radiohead in his demos.
I really like my Compadre pedal! I'm slowly turning into a Strymon geek.
Thank you, Andy. I just spent around 300 bucks.
his foot control is flawless, bam! compressor set to 75% exactly in one go without fail, lol
Definitely the most versatile compressor I've seen and sound great as well.
I love strymon stuff but it’s sometimes to expensive for my wallet......BUT I’m highly considering this beast of a utility box, great job Andy
When you consider the sound quality, the build, and that most of their boxes do more than one thing, its actually a fair price.
If you want a cheaper alternative with a very decent cost/feaures ratio I would recommend you the TC Electronic Forcefield Compressor. They also make a Boost pedal in the same range, but I have no experience with it.
You need a second job and refinance your home. 😏
Good to see Andy
Fantastic demo and as usual nice playing!
Andy having some fun .Hats off to Nikhuberguitars for a very cool guitar
brilliant as usual.
You've got me set on this now.
Hell yes, some Radiohead! Great video!
I love when gringos say compadre. Cool pedal and demo
Bravo Andy ! You’re a master. Best regards from France.
“You do it to yourseeeellllf...”
Great review of the Compadre! Greetings from Singapore!
Youve got the redtail strat putting out some awesome tones
Andy my brother, flannel game 👌💯
Flying Fingers of Fury! Go Andy!
Great performance on "Just."
smoooooooth playing
Great demo, great pedal but the PRICE!?! And yes, what is that red t-style guitar? WANT!!!
now this was a realy nice video...loved it...but first, riverside.. ;)
This sounds good!
When I hear Strymon puts out a new pedal, I immediately get curious and induces GAS. However, as great as these might be for some, the Iridium and Compadre don't do that to me as I use tube amps and don't use compression. But I guess what else is there for Strymon? What do you guys want to see from them? Maybe an amp in a box style pedal?
Or AMPS in a box...would be cool to access Plexi,Fender,Vox,Dumble,Trainwreck,Two Rock, etc tones all from one pedal
Isn’t that what Line 6 has been doing for 20 years?
@@curtislynch8189 sure, but they sound (and feel) awful
I use the Strymon Compadre in my tube Fender Hot Rod Deluxe V3 amp and it’s sounds absolutely fantastic!!!
Where the boost? Before or after? Please and thank you.
Anything pedal wise you can compare the dirty sound to
Another Strymon pedal thats sure to be nearly the price of a new car
You must be buying a really shitty car, then. This is one of their cheaper pedals.
I get that $300 dollars isn't exactly cheap, but for a high-quality, handcrafted pedal that combines both a compressor AND a boost, then $300 is a steal.
No sabía que Bisbal tocaba la Guitarra. Jejeje

Who is the maker of the orange guitar towards the end of the video
What is that orange guitar? Kinda looks in between a les paul and a tele.
What bass is that? Super cool!
It's an Ibanez Blazer. 80's I believe.
What was the bass that Andy used in the beginning?
Davi Morimoto It’s an 80s Ibanez Blazer, I use it quite a bit for backing tracks!
Compadre means ‘buddy’ for those who wanna expand spanish vocabulary
I like watching these videos, simply for his playing, but he could plug into a potato and make me think it's worth $299.99....so it really doesn't help me to choose a particular pedal.
Over 300 bucks
Ok great now I gotta learn some more Radiohead
