[I am NOT going to reveal the server name or the ppl in there bcz of their privacy.] I applied to be one of the staff there and got 'accepted' as the 'trial staff'. the owner was nice to me at start but never appreciated the stuff i did for the server. I made friends with another staff there and after few weeks, i noticed sudden increase in the server but my friend was resigning as the staff (they had been a staff since the beginning of that server.) and they told me to do the same. i asked the reason (because the 'staff server' was only for the ppl who were 'staff' and not 'trial staff') and it was because the owner of the server DOXXED one of their own friend (co owner) because 'they were creating conflicts and arguing with the owner.' + the co owner was right in this case and had valid opinions and opposed the bad decisions of the owner. Not only that, in their staff only server, the owner was PROUD of the doxxing they did and were cursing at the co owner and all with other members cheering for the same. Doxxing is something you shouldn't be PROUD of. you are stealing someone's private info without their knowledge. please report people who do it and be careful yourself too to never attempt this disgusting act. Discord needs to make it against TOS to provide such identifying information like a drivers license. I've seen too many servers on power trips demanding that users send drivers license or passport verification of identity. There is a reason why no website will ask you for this, why would a server owner need to? The excuse of 'age verification' doesn't fly because no website or program, no matter the 'content', actually verifies your age except for gambling applications.
There’s one big reason why servers (specifically nsfw and/or 18+ servers) have ID checks. It’s to prove that their members are actually adults. Otherwise, it’s easy to lie and claim to be 18 or older, which can create a dangerous situation.

I used to fake all my info on social media, I faked my age, my nationality, my location, etc. Literally all my info on social media was fake, but then in the recent past I felt guilty for doing that, so I decided to change completely, I left social media for some time, returned back after some time but this time with my real identity, real name, real age, real location, real nationality, etc. Everything was crystal clear and genuine, I never hid anything from anyone, the only thing people did not know was what I looked like, and my address. that's it. they knew my general location though, although thankfully (phew!) nothing bad has happened till now and I 've mostly stopped using social media, after watching your videos I've realized that I was better off faking my personality online than being "genuine".

The best way to be safe is discord is: Dont talk to people you find sketchy, even tho they're your friend, dont trust them. NEVER say your real age, if your under 13 people can take advantage of you and harass you cause they'll know you'll be scared and force u to do stuff. Never say where your from or your nationality, always stay safe. And thats it, you just need to talk with the stuff you want to talk about.
Also, a good tip is making using a false name and picture everywhere, and, by exemple, using an inexistant number of your street. So that it's coherent information but not actually true

Discord can be a really toxic place. Back in 2020 when I was 15, I joined a Discord server a Minecraft TH-camr had advertised, which had a pretty large NSFW section. Being a hormonal teenager who did not know any better I was lured into it and they pushed me to do pretty questionable things, despite knowing I very well shouldn't have been in there as a 15 year old. When they were done, they spread rumors of ME being a... p*do and would blackmail me into doing more stuff with the threat of reporting me to Discord T&S as I was underage being in 18+ NSFW channels. These people are very highly ranked and respected in the Minecraft community, so everyone would take their word at face value and believe them with absolutely no proof. I've been harassed and threatened by numerous people ever since then, kicked out of communities and anyone who dares to think otherwise gets targetted as well. While I'm not doxed (yet), people have still been able to dig up some pretty obscure details in an attempt to. They managed to figure out the school I go to but my school has strict policies about student privacy so they're obviously not gonna leak any of my information that way. It is scary what people can be made to do, and the lengths people to do try to hurt someone on the internet. For someone reading this, I can't stress how important it is to **never make any single mention of your real identity** for an online identity you use in a toxic or hostile community, and even put out red herrings. Use a pseudonym, pretend you live in a slightly different part of town (one you know slightly about, but do not actually live in), accidentally leak fake details, anything to get people off the trail because **sooner or later you will fail your OpSec** (because you're human) and if people can't tell apart red herrings from an actual lapse in your OpSec, that's perfect. I was lucky enough to have practiced much of this beforehand (being taught at an early age to stay as close to anonymous on the internet), but being targetted really made me take it more seriously and . If anyone reads this, thanks. I'm well past the point of wanting revenge or justice, honestly I just want to be left the fuck alone.
What I like to do is lie, pretend to have different jobs, talk about the weather like I live in an area I don't, and other things like that. Mainly because I know that if I stayed perfectly truthful and had any sort of presence online, somebody would eventually be able to connect the dots. But since I lie about alot of stuff, suddenly it's not just connecting the dots, it's figuring out which dots are good, and which are red herrings. Even if you could theoretically figure out the pattern to tell which one is which, it'd be so much more effort that it wouldn't be worth it for anyone without a personal grudge. And since I tend to lurk basically everywhere, that probably won't be an issue.

Call the police and notify them that you're an active online individual who has been doxxed or have the possibility of being doxxed in the future in hopes they will put your name down and address down on a file that notifies police of this kind of possible activity. However, the caveat is if some crazy real life emergency/threat does happen you may have to go out of your way a little bit to ensure the message gets across authentically as possible. I was in a server (not too proud of it bcz of what they did) , and it was supposed to be a 'professional' server with all the proper staff and moderation. they had their own pros and cons, but the thing i want to highlight is that one specific event that made me feel disgusted and leave that server for good. [I am NOT going to reveal the server name or the ppl in there bcz of their privacy.]
I applied to be one of the staff there and got 'accepted' as the 'trial staff'. the owner was nice to me at start but never appreciated the stuff i did for the server. I made friends with another staff there and after few weeks, i noticed sudden increase in the server but my friend was resigning as the staff (they had been a staff since the beginning of that server.) and they told me to do the same. i asked the reason (because the 'staff server' was only for the ppl who were 'staff' and not 'trial staff') and it was because the owner of the server DOXXED one of their own friend (co owner) because 'they were creating conflicts and arguing with the owner.' + the co owner was right in this case and had valid opinions and opposed the bad decisions of the owner.
Not only that, in their staff only server, the owner was PROUD of the doxxing they did and were cursing at the co owner and all with other members cheering for the same.
Doxxing is something you shouldn't be PROUD of. you are stealing someone's private info without their knowledge. please report people who do it and be careful yourself too to never attempt this disgusting act. Let's make sure that everyone's discord experience remains a happy one!

A group of players tried to dox me one time over discord because they had a vendetta against me. Fortunately due to the volume of reports I sent discord actually responded and a few months later a majority of the users accounts had either been suspended or deleted.

Discord needs to make it against TOS to provide such identifying information like a drivers license. I've seen too many servers on power trips demanding that users send drivers license or passport verification of identity. There is a reason why no website will ask you for this, why would a server owner need to?
The excuse of 'age verification' doesn't fly because no website or program, no matter the 'content', actually verifies your age except for gambling applications.
There’s one big reason why servers (specifically nsfw and/or 18+ servers) have ID checks. It’s to prove that their members are actually adults. Otherwise, it’s easy to lie and claim to be 18 or older, which can create a dangerous situation.
Just a tip for everyone that I've been following more and more hardcore since websites and corporations have been getting more and more intrusive with the shit they want, never give someone information about you or access to anything that you aren't convinced they need to have for a good reason. No discord server needs to see your driving licence, blizzard don't need your phone number to let you play their videogame, but obviously if you're buying something on the internet from somewhere trustworthy, they will need some kind of payment method and your address. Just be sensible and look at what is standard and treat anything that wants to know more about you than is standard with extreme suspicion.

In discord profile connections, Steam is one that could be used. Someone could join the server, scan the members for profile connections, and if a Steam connection is found, then they can attempt a Steam scam like the "accidentally reported you" one and probably all the other ones.
This is probably one of the oldest ways of getting scammed

I used to fake all my info on social media, I faked my age, my nationality, my location, etc. Literally all my info on social media was fake, but then in the recent past I felt guilty for doing that, so I decided to change completely, I left social media for some time, returned back after some time but this time with my real identity, real name, real age, real location, real nationality, etc. Everything was crystal clear and genuine, I never hid anything from anyone, the only thing people did not know was what I looked like, and my address. that's it. they knew my general location though, although thankfully (phew!) nothing bad has happened till now and I 've mostly stopped using social media, after watching your videos I've realized that I was better off faking my personality online than being "genuine".

My friends and I all had our cameras on together, and just from the shirt I was wearing they were smart enough to look up the text and found my address, phone number, and family names (because my family works at the website they were brought to when they looked it up.) Now im threatened many times every single day if I don't comply with what they ask. This has been happening for a couple months now. I never realized before how a friend could change so much of my life. They have already leaked everything to multiple servers when I didn't want to play a game with them. I have been spam called, my parents yell at me for it, and people have showed up at my house. There is not much to do about it.

The best way to be safe is discord is: Dont talk to people you find sketchy, even tho they're your friend, dont trust them. In one of my favourite servers (It’s a private server out of someone’s characters “fandom” or something ehh?) my close friend (AKA THE owner of the server) got into a fight with one of his best friends who has admin, After his best friend kicked 5 inactive people off the server and left, The owner got real mad, Few days later, After someone made a doxxing joke, His best friend actually got doxxers to dox the owner of the server, Sadly, It instead doxxed one of the people in his account and there’s a LITERAL doxxing war, A damn 1v1 for a disgusting crime, I’m so glad it stopped, And that’s my little story for that one incident that happened.

Discord can be a really toxic place. Back in 2020 when I was 15, I joined a Discord server a Minecraft TH-camr had advertised, which had a pretty large NSFW section. Being a hormonal teenager who did not know any better I was lured into it and they pushed me to do pretty questionable things, despite knowing I very well shouldn't have been in there as a 15 year old. When they were done, they spread rumors of ME being a... p*do and would blackmail me into doing more stuff with the threat of reporting me to Discord T&S as I was underage being in 18+ NSFW channels.
These people are very highly ranked and respected in the Minecraft community, so everyone would take their word at face value and believe them with absolutely no proof. I've been harassed and threatened by numerous people ever since then, kicked out of communities and anyone who dares to think otherwise gets targetted as well. While I'm not doxed (yet), people have still been able to dig up some pretty obscure details in an attempt to. They managed to figure out the school I go to but my school has strict policies about student privacy so they're obviously not gonna leak any of my information that way.
It is scary what people can be made to do, and the lengths people to do try to hurt someone on the internet. For someone reading this, I can't stress how important it is to **never make any single mention of your real identity** for an online identity you use in a toxic or hostile community, and even put out red herrings. Use a pseudonym, pretend you live in a slightly different part of town (one you know slightly about, but do not actually live in), accidentally leak fake details, anything to get people off the trail because **sooner or later you will fail your OpSec** (because you're human) and if people can't tell apart red herrings from an actual lapse in your OpSec, that's perfect. I was lucky enough to have practiced much of this beforehand (being taught at an early age to stay as close to anonymous on the internet), but being targetted really made me take it more seriously and .

What I like to do is lie, pretend to have different jobs, talk about the weather like I live in an area I don't, and other things like that.
Mainly because I know that if I stayed perfectly truthful and had any sort of presence online, somebody would eventually be able to connect the dots. But since I lie about alot of stuff, suddenly it's not just connecting the dots, it's figuring out which dots are good, and which are red herrings. Even if you could theoretically figure out the pattern to tell which one is which, it'd be so much more effort that it wouldn't be worth it for anyone without a personal grudge. And since I tend to lurk basically everywhere, that probably won't be an issue.

Call the police and notify them that you're an active online individual who has been doxxed or have the possibility of being doxxed in the future in hopes they will put your name down and address down on a file that notifies police of this kind of possible activity. However, the caveat is if some crazy real life emergency/threat does happen you may have to go out of your way a little bit to ensure the message gets across authentically as possible. Please do this as it will save lives and definitely save you some major explaining and issues.
