Hello, that was a cool gesture from a friend that you haven’t seen in so many years! Some good music there, particularly on the CDs. It was interesting to see some of the original price stickers on CDs from more than 20 years ago! £12 and £14 pounds a pop! £22 for 2. That was a small fortune back then. We invested a lot of hard earned money in our musical enjoyment in those days. Nowadays you can pick up CDs at 4 for a pound in charity shops, they are practically giving them away, even quite recent releases. All down to streaming services l guess. How times have changed!

I saw The Almighty (the band not God) when they were a support act for Motorhead. 1992 in Portsmouth Guild Hall I believe. I never did think much of Ricky Warwick though. Whenever he does an interview he pretty much only talks about music as a business, like he is some sort of rock entrepreneur. Sometimes you just want to hear your favorite Rock star say "F... the police!" of "Disco is S..t!"..., but if Ricky Warwick did it, it would be calculated to maximize ticket sales. Mind you, his joining Scott Gorham in the resurrection of Thin Lizzy was a bad business move. It probably cost him a reduction of merchandise sales... Nice of your friend to pass these to you. Cheers
