The best part about gypsy and the Jimmy is that you buy it once and never sell it.... Design will never be outdated.... You can keep it as a collection car.... Yes, we are expecting a Thar 5 door but then again if it's a 4x4 it's surely to cross 20 lakhs ....

Also what the access button function on the door is for when it has a Key entry too. It would be nice to know what accessories they will have on offer....also if they will have a list of suppliers for accessories (the world has been using the 3 door Jimny for a couple of yrs now and the accessories for the Jimny are like no other in the world)....Thanks

Has a nostalgia value because of the Gypsy which many of us drove in the eighties. Japanese technology will make it a lightweight performance vehicle because of the 4WD. Plus auto transmission will be a good option on better roads. Interior has the same styling as the military type Gypsy. Much smaller than the Thar it will give stiff competition to all the fancy compact SUVs. If priced between 10 to 15 lacs should sell like hot cakes? I personally may God for it having owned both Maruti 800 and the Omni later.

Yes indeed drove my Gypsy from1988 to 2010 had to change the head in 2009due to my own folly and I live in the mountains otherwise apart from normal wear and tear not a cheep out of my beauty my only hope is that they've improved the bouncy SUSPENSIONS LOOKS THE SAME WITH A LITTLE BIT OF REFINEDMENT GYPSY JIMNY LOVE TO HAVE IT BACK

Simplistic design. Height looks low, if ground clearance is more than 200 mm, the cabin headroom will be less.
If it's a 4x4 vehicle with such a price range then is there any changes in built quality and what platform it is using.

I was looking to buy SCROSS and it's taken away from the market and then I thought to go for Grand Vitara but I didn't like the stance from the front side as it wasn't looking sharper then I thought I will wait for Baleno Cross and the design is really awesome but I feel it's smaller. I decided to wait for SCross again. Maruti bring SCROSS sooner to Indian market.
The Fronx they launched along with Jimny looks very similar to SCross
They just bringing back the remembrance of Gypsy Jeep and this on Jimny can't look like a bold jeep
For taller people it's just like sitting Maruti 800/Alto.
Maruti should bring in 3 door option too..
