    Purdue sports value should never be measured by how many people see this show. With all respect, their stats support the value to cover their content. 🖤💛 Boiler Up!

      I get what you’re saying and that’s certainly true for corporations who are spending millions and churning out multiple shows every day. I was just speaking on our behalf, in the sense we can really only make 2-3 shows a week and it makes sense to do it for content we know will be appreciated and viewed. Otherwise, we’re not making best use of our time. Hope that makes sense?

      I would like to follow up on this. If it were measured by how many people see the show, it's killing it. Purdue fans have showed out more than any so far. Ill throw a little #BoilerUp yalls way 😂🙏

      Appreciate the kind words! We do our best to take the bias out of it and look at the big picture because if everyone is complaining, its probably just the officials being too bad to have any sort of consistency

    I would say the biggest problem for Purdue in post season, Purdue giving up 12+ turnovers and teams hitting 10+threes on 50% shooting.

    Thank you for actually understanding that there are other teams/sports in the B1G; not just Michigan and Ohio State Football. I am starting to get upset with Channel 372 on Sirius/XM (B1G channel). All I heard all fall was Michigan football, Michigan football. OK, they were great, won the national championship, I get it. But then Football season was over, Purdue is #1 (or 2) in the polls and WE don't get the same non-stop coverage that Michigan Football got and with the whole Harbaugh thing, we are STILL being minimized in favor of football, and especially Michigan football thing. OK, rant over... Thank you!

      Thank you so much for the kind words. We are just fans of college sports and the conference and love talking about it! We want this to be a channel where every fan base can get what they want to hear especially when the feedback comes in from yall, and at the same time take the biases off so we can ask legitimate questions and learn. I look forward to doing much more coverage on Purdue and yall's fanbase has showed up big time for this video so shoutout to ya'll!

    Dominance is never out of fashion… CMP has PJ helping as OC coupled with technical talent. 🚂🏀💨

    One thing consistently ignored is Painter coaches his team to defend without fouling. Watch the games… they rarely reach, they never press, they don’t generate many turnovers…. They defend without fouling by design. It contributes significantly to the free throw discrepancy.

    • @Bigtenshow
      @Bigtenshow  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for pointing that out, im curious to look into that now that you mentioned it.

    • @BXP_Russ
      @BXP_Russ 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a big part of it, Painter would rather make you hit a low percentage shot than bail you out with a foul and put one of our players in jeopardy of foul trouble. There’s also the fact that teams like Alabama and Northwestern wanted to take such a high percentage of their attempts from behind the 3 pt line instead of challenging Edey. Hard to get teams, and big men, in foul trouble if you don’t take the ball to the basket.

    Sunny Verma is basically saying if you can't defend Edey's height advantage through speed and athleticism, then it's fair game to intimidate the refs into allowing opposing teams to hack Edey without calling any fouls.

    14:57 Just want to point out that Purdue and Illinois have the same number of NCAA title game appearances (both runner up losses to blue bloods with legendary coaches). Purdue lost to UCLA in 1969. Illinois lost to NC in 2005. Interesting enough, both games had head coaches with Purdue ties. Bruce Webber was a former assistant under Keady before taking over at Illinois. (Also just so happened to be the guy to recruit Matt Painter to Purdue.) As for the other game, Purdue played in it for one, but it was also against a UCLA team coached by the great John Wooden who happened to play at Purdue. It is kind of a wonder how the Purdue-Illinois rivalry hasn’t really grown more narratively in the media. Probably just because it is overshadowed by Purdue-Indiana.

      Appreciate that man, that is good to know. Yea I had the separate these 2 before the show, so it may start to grow legs with the media in coming years,

    Harbaugh had little choice but to leave. Coaches need to coach not stay at home because of multiple source violations.
    Chargers really?

    Almost every single Big Ten coach has cried like a little baby after getting beat by Purdue. Collins was the worst and most disingenuous during his post game comments.

      I have noticed a lot of whining this year in the Big 10 conference (Myself included).. For me, it just helps me cope with the loss, so I am sure that is their thought process too in that moment. Although in some games, it has been egregiously bad, the stuff I have seen Purdue wise have been largely a dismissal of Edey's skills.

    So Maui and non conf was a fluke? Just B10 they’re good and get favorable refs? 😮

      The referees have nothing to do with Purdue's postseason losses.

  • @Shan_Cox
    @Shan_Cox 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Sometimes I wish the referees would swallow the whistle. Zach will have really good post position and the referees blow a whistle. The way Zach has been shooting free throws lately, fouling him might be your best defense against him.

    The B10 is not the second best conference in the nation. Are you kidding me?!? Big 12 SEC ACC Big EAST all better by a mile and it’s the reason we often fail in March. Hopefully the non conference teams haven’t improved since December by next month!
