Sarada, Sumire, Kawaki, and Boruto were the only ones not affected and Sarada convinces Sasuke to save Boruto. Kawaki didn’t say anything and when asked if Boruto was really the killer, Kawaki grabbed Eida’s collar and gave her a death glare to tell her don’t you say a word or you’re dead. Eida is questioning her taste in men at that point lol. She apologized to Boruto for both her and Kawaki’s actions.

No one here is understanding that Kawaki had a sad past, yes, but he is not like Naruto in the slightest, nor can they be bought. Unlike Naruto, who shaped his own thinking thanks to influences like the Third Hokage or Iruka, Kawaki had directly harmful figures in his life, who taught him nothing but misery, pain, and hatred. Which led him to become obsessed with the first person who showed him true, genuine, fatherly warmth, which he always needed. Naruto learned to process, dismiss, and absorb what was happening and learning around him, but instead, Kawaki became blinded. A broken mind that was not strong enough to develop in a normal and healthy way. Kawaki is definitely a brutal character, he is much better than any main character in his saga, but I don't know if he is exactly a villain, since, he is partly right, the otsutsuki are a complete threat to the entire world, plans and actions of Kawaki are extremists, but they seek the common good. We have already seen from Naruto that the rabbit clan is definitely a threat that cannot be "redeemed" and neither can anyone who protects and helps them. (I abandoned the manga a while ago, so this is where I stay).
